Op Manager doesnt discover new VMware VM
I added my entire VMware environment by discovering the vCenter server. However, i added a new VM in vCenter and it does not discover it in Op Manager. I do not have any option to rediscover the host that it is running on (dont know why). I tried to rediscover the vCenter server but it did not pick up the new VM. I have also tried to discover the VM directly, but it discovers a server and not virtual device. How on earth does this product pull in new VM's (or get rid of deleted VM's for that
Notification response time
after a server goes down or reboots, the email notification is late by an hour after server is already up and running. Is there a setting to change that?
Telnet fails for all hosts
Hi I cannot get a telnet login to work on any systems from my Opmanager. Opmanager Essential, build 11300. I have tried Qnx, linux, Unix, even a Cisco switch. Opmanager reports CLI failure due to "Incorrect Login Parameters" for everything I have tried. I can telnet from the Opmanager server to the devices and login with the credentials, so there are no problems with comms or credentials. The applnerr38.txt log file shows this error. 08:24:53:161 APPLNERR: Login Failure: for the agent = 10.60.135.10
Looking for a device template for Procurve switches
Does anyone know where I can find a basic device template for any of these procurve models? I'm new to Opmanager and MIBs and don't really know how to set up a template. OpManager support told me they would look at a template if I know what I want from the MIBs. When I downloaded the MIBs and viewed them in the browser most had red crosses over them which I assume means they don't work with my switch. I have an opman v10200 and a lot of devices with DHCP maanaged IP addresses. Every time when the device gets new IP from DHCP I have to go to opman console and change IP of this device manually, because opman keeps old IP in its DB. Any chance to make opman use host name and DNS for resolving device IP? Thank you!

Can I resize teh google maps widget?
I would like to resize the google maps widget on a dashboard. Is this possible? I can resize my iFrame widgets but I now have lots of white space around the google map and would like to resize it to fill the space. This will make the map more readable too with our branches. Rob
Update CPU Utilization Dynamic Graph Monitor
I have an anomaly on CPU Utilization monitor for F5-Big-Data machines. It shows 95% CPU usage on OpManager while actual CPU usage for the device is around 20%. I've add custom monitor for CPU usage using hostresource mib and the result more accurate. I also deleted Vendor's CPU Utilization monitor. Hi there, as the subject says, the "Problem" status was due to the port not active. They're mainly connected to clients, which of course not all of them active all the time. how to set OpManager to ignore this "port not active" alarm? Or maybe turn it off altogether?

Migrating from MySQL to MSSQL - Confirmation of location for Driver jar file
Hi there, I am planning to migrate our current instance of OpManager (v11500) from MySQL to MSSQL. However, I am having difficulties confirming where to location the Driver jar file(s) that relates to MS SQL Server. I will be connecting to MSSQL but I read in a previous post that in the database Configuration .bat program, others have used the mysql driver jar, is this the correct/recommended approach? Update Broke Webserver
Hello all... so... OM was running on an old version v10... We decided it was about time to update... So after verifying that everything was working in OP we started the update... First to Build 11100 and then 11500... but after starting the service the webpage for OM was dead... So times we were able to see the URL change from localhost to localhost\login.do? How is the way to monitor an HP DL580 G8 Server?
I recently installed an ESXi 5.5 into HP Proliant DL580 G8 server. I would like to monitor all the HW status, the health of the HDD drives, Power Supply, Disc Array status, directly from de Proliant Server cause actually, I configure the ESXi monitor with the VM credentials, and this shows only the status for the VM services and justo some info for the HW status. Hi, as the subject says i am getting the error "java.net.SocketException" when trying to send a test email in opmanager. i am trying to send email using yahoo, i've tried ports 25, 465 and 587 but none works. i also disbled my firewall, windows firewall, the antivirus onaccess scanner, and the router firewall. i disabled all the above and still getting the error. Cannot change SQL Server monitoring
OpManager 10100. Server with Hyper-V role. Discovered as Virtual Host (it really has one guest VM). Then i added SQL-server monitoring to this server. Now i cant change this -- when i'm trying to Add new performance monitor every setting i configured in MSSQL section is grayed out. See attachments. How to change Thresholds or remove SQL monitoring from this server?

XenDesktop with VMWare what to do against to many devices down
Hello, we are using vmware as virtulisation and have XenDesktop to manage our VDI. Opmanager always finds the VMWare Clients when the are created by XenDesktop and shows them as VMs. But as the are turned of as long as they are not used thew will immediately report as device down. Has anybody an idea how we could eliminate this monitoring of those VMs? Cheers, Ralf

WMI/SNMP Disk monitoring
Hi, I am new to OpManager and to the monitoring world, I've added a new server in our environnement and it was detected by OPManager and the default alarms from our templates were added. It was great news, however I am having trouble with OPManager not detecting my hardrives. Information about my environnement: Virtual Windows 2008 R2 Test credentials pass both for SNMP and WMI WMI monitoring works for CPU, memory and Virual monitoring works for network, vcpu, memory I can remote test WMI with winmgmt.msc

I am trying to create template for windows hosts but need to be able to have a group of server(s) in one or more templates e.g All - cpu/disk/temp to be monitored Sql - cpu/disk/sql/temp none - none. however these servers would be also be based on regions of the country or a GROUP What I found to be difficult is to be able to have my ALL template on every server, but then be able to have servers in regions , NE, NW, MW, MC etc. I would think that you have the following server names
