Problem starting OpManager 6
Hi, We are using the new trial of OpManager v 6.0. We had to restart the service this morning, but we were not able to get it running again. All it does is starting the java.exe process, but no mysql or apache proces. There is only one log file being written, the wrapper.log, saying: vm 1 | 2006/01/27 17:21:32 | Wrapper (Version 3.1.1) http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org INFO | jvm 1 | 2006/01/27 17:21:32 | INFO | jvm 1 | 2006/01/27 17:21:33 | inside addon check That's all it does. Any idea's? Thanks
OpManager Web Client - Blank Screen
Hi All, I just installed OPManager version 5.6 on Win 2003 Standard Server via port 9080 and using IE version 6.0. However the Web client screen is blank. Please advise. One more thing, how to load trap processors via OPManager java client since I'm not able to launch web client. Cheers.

OID's not valid?
Alot of the MIB's I try to use let me browse down the branch but the part I need to monitor has a circle with a line through it like it is not allowed? Why do these OIDs have this through them? Here is an OID example as well as the MIB.. .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.63.1.4.2.1.19
incorrect mem utilization values
Dear Support, I am using opmanager build 5.6 to monitor local exchange servers. SO far, when i use WMI to display CPU utilization, the values are correct. But with SNMP, they are wrong. How come? Also, the memory utilization snapshot (pie chart) shows incorrect values. Please help. THanks
getting error! page when logging in
After I install OpManager 6.0, it seems to run alright for a few minutes and then it crashing. When I try to login I get a page that simply says error!. This has occurred on two different systems I have attempted to eval OpManager on. I did a quick search and did not see anything that stood out. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello there, I'm using this opmanager version 5.5 at the moment - the free version. a) If there any function from this version that really cant support several request to monitor the server especialy? please list down b) I run a test to monitor the cpu, memory and disk utilization of the Sun server. Auto Discover doesnt work
I have installed opmanger and when I do a auto discover it doesnt find anything. All my local machines on my network have a local firewall running. Any ideas.
no outgoing traffic visible
i have configured my 2600 router with following command ; int fa0/0 ip route-cache flow ip flow-export source fa0/0 ip flow-export version 5 ip flow-export destination 10.x.x.x 9996 i am able to get the in coming traffic on the interface but out going is not visible Can anyone help me out to sort what exactly the problem is. thanks, Vishal D.
WMI memory utilization monitor
I have set up 3 WMI monitors for a server as a test. CPU a utilization is at 23 %, which seems correct. Disk Utilization is at 32%, which may be OK as well. Memory utilization is at -123%. What could cause this? HP Proliant ML370, 5GB RAM, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Ed. Thank you, David Conroy
Java client doesn't work
Hi all, I have been installed the Opmanager 6.0 for 1 week and I found that the Java client doesn't work. Everytime when I start up the client the Opmanager start up the web client instead. Please advise how can I fix this probem cos I really want to try out the 'business view'. thanks, Alex

Customize the "Vendor Specific Monitors"
Hi, is it possible to customize "Vendor Specific Monitors". I want a new Group "Interaction Inteligence" and add some custom monitors to this group. I have a custom monitor, this monitor check an subsystem as result i become 1 for running or 0 for stopped. It is possible to change the format for this monitor like Windows Services. So when the result is 1 it should show the green dot and when it is 0 then red dot? Please advise. Thanks. Christian

Inlet/Outlet Temperature Monitor does not work
The Cisco vendor specific inlet/outlet temperature monitors do not work, any idea's on what needs to be done to get this working as this is would be extremely useful. This is same for Cisco routers and switches. Any help appreciated. Regards Scott.

CPU Load under Linux?
Hi Folks, We're in the process of evaluating OpManager as a replacement to a hodge-podge BigBrother+MRTG system, and so far am pretty impressed (I'm assuming that the insane slowness of the system is due to the PIII-800 It's currently running on while we evaluate the software..). We're seeing a problem with the CPU Utilisation monitoring on our Linux (debian) servers however.. The servers are all running Net-SNMP 5.1.2, and OpManager is querying against 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.9.0, which translates to

Router Interface status remains up after unmanaged
Hi, It seems like the interface status of router remains 'up' (green) even after it is unmanaged. The status suppose to change to grey icon after is it unmanaged right? I am facing this issue when I unmanaged a number of interfaces of my routers. Now I all the interfaces of my routers are showing up (green) even though some of them are unmanaged. Rgds.
Router Interface Availability Graph Incorrect
When clicking on an interface of a rouer to get the detail, it shows the Todays Availability graph incorrectly. It shows it as 100% downtime, ie all red. If I clcik on the graph, I get a popup window which shows it as 100% uptime, ie green. I have attached an image of the two graphs.
Alarm on free disk space in %
Is it possible to setup OpManager to generate an alarm when the free disk space of a volume drops below a given percentage? As I see it right now - it is only possible to set the threshold in units of GB or MB.
IBM SAN Storage --> new device type problem
Hi, My company just bought IBM SAN Storage and my manager ask me to add it to opmanager. So i did it , but opmanager found it as desktop device. And i want to add it to new device type, but the opmanger said "Device is not reachable. Check the device name and SNMP parameters." . Some are new to this version, others have been there before. 1) Response time threshold for Service Monitors (only web-client) With the java-client is it possible to configure a threshold based on the service response-time. SNMP display for traps
Well I had high hopes. I downloaded the latest version installed, then attempted to add Lotus Notes/Domino MIB. Failed, so found on the forum a script, downloaded, ran, and way to go, I see the Notes-MIB now listed in the MIB Browser. Remove ServiceDesk and NetFlow from Add-On/Products
I am trying to remove from the NetFlow and ServiceDesk links from the Add-On/Products Integration section under Admin in OpManager. I installed the trial versions and they integrated fine. Now I would like to remove them from the system. The problem I have is that all of the fields are "required" in the admin system so I can't clear them and resubmit. The second issue is that there are still links to the old applications thorughout the site for example there is a link on each of the dashboard pages.
Watchguard xCore700 and Opmanager
I recently setup and installed a new Watchguard xCore700 firewall and want to use Opmanager to monitor it's performance, data traffic through it's interfaces, VPN info etc. Watchguard supplied Mib's that I placed in the Advent MIB folder. I can launch the mibBrowser.bat file and can see those MIB's. Now what?? Rally need some step by step info here as I've never dealt with this before.
