OpManager 7 free Device Template New template based on Microsoft and Domain Controller I can not setup any Consecutive Times except 1 for CPU and Memory WMI monitors in new Device Template Thanks
Error: webclient.fault.alarm.clear.status.failure
I get the above error while trying to clear an alarm on a node. No matter what I do, I can't clear the alarm - I always get the above error message. If I try to delete the alarm, I get "Problem in deleting alarm!". I don't want to remove/re-add the node because I don't want to lose the stats. What can I do?
Map Detailed View Flag Icons
I have OpManager 7 installed on RHES. When i look at Map and detailed view every memory, cpu and disk flag is grey (see attached). Should these be coloured depending on the status? Anyone else have this?
Domain Controllers Add-On Expired?
So, the Domain Controller add-on was in the trial version of OpManager 7010 I was using. I applied my license to OpManager which doesn't include the DC add-on. Now when I click on domain controllers I get the message "Active Directory Monitoring Add On Feature is not licensed." Okay. But that is all it shows. What happened to my normal panel for this system? I used to (in 6) get just the normal display. How do I get that back? David.
OpManager not successful at polling nodes via SNMP
I just installed 7 on CentOS 5. Discovered the nodes ok, but OpManager isn't polling the nodes successfully. I have monitors configured, but they don't report anything, so I tried to test the monitor via the GUI and it reports back "The monitor did not respond to the test request". I tested the same OID in the MIB browser, and it worked fine. I then checked to make sure the credentials were the same. I checked and rechecked a bunch of times, cut and pasted the community I entered into the credential

Downtime Scheduler
Is it possible to use the downtime scheduler on a monitor in a specific device or is there another way to go around this problem? If it was possible to create a dummy device i could add the url monitor i want to that device and include the device in the scheduler, but it seems its not possible to create a device that doesn't exist. The url monitor option under admin would be a solution because its possible to add those to the scheduler, but on the other hand i can�t connect any notification profiles
CPU and Memory Utilization dial contain no data available
Hi there, I added a custom device template for my machines (win2003server). After I applied the machines to use this template, the CPU and memory utilization dials has no data available, whereas the rest are fine. When i switched back to the default Windows 2003 template, the dials appear again. Any idea? Thanks Robby
Event Log rule
Hi, We have the 'Any System Failure' rule on. However there are a few system 'failures' which are not (like RDP printer driver not available etc.). Is there a way we can apply an extra filter. I want to have the 'Any system failure' on but would then like to choose ones to filter out and not get notified about. What can be done here. Thanks Opus

Collecting log data to view history not working.
Hey, I have migraded from MsSQL to MySQL using this guide: http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=1204 Averything seems fine but the data collecting feature of opmanager. I can see current status and all alarms from the past but I can't see any information on when a specefic server is up and the aount of traffic flowing through a interface. See these picturures:

Custom Infrastructure Views and Exchange monitoring
We have just upgraded to OpManager version 7, and I have to say that it is a great improvement over 6. Problem: When I create another Infrastructure View for mail servers, and I move an exchange server into that category, the exchange dashboard view disappears from the snapshot page for that server. This is a problem because we really want to use the infrastructure views to categorize our servers. Is there something I can do to enable this? It also seems to be the case with the MSSQL monitors.

Everytime I click on the "Tools Home" I gat promted to key in my "proxy" username and passowrd. I have upgraded to my profession edition so I don't understand why me moving around in the software requires me to connect thru my proxy server to your site.. for some sort of hidden "monitoring" of your software like spyware.. Subnet lists
We currently are using UTN connections to all our major nodes within or Network. I'm trying to get a list of all our used subnets, would be nice with the description field for each subnet off the router or switching device when found if possible or even the interface identification. We have the following extreme networks equipment. Black Diamond 6808, Summit 400 and summit 450. All set to Vendor = Extreme, Category = Switch, Type = Extreme. Custom Monitor / Device Template problem
Hello all, maybe i understood something wrong, hopefully you can give me a hint: We have several Windows 2003 Server. All are Dell Servers. On One of this Servers there is a Lotus Domino Server installed, on others are other Systems running. Now we have a device Template for Windows 2003 Server. This Device Template does not hold the monitors for Lotus Domino (which is running on some of this servers, not all). Threshold can not be deleted ...
Hello all, How can i delete a threshold rule for a monitor at a special windows 2003 device? I tried deleting the values in the filed "Threshold Alert" and "Rearm value" and hit OK. After reopening the Threshold setting nothing seems to be changed, the old values are still set and it still says "violated". Regards Jenson
Changing default monitor times for CPU ect.
In version 6 I was able to change how often monitors like CPU, Interface traffic and memory were monitored. I do not see that in version 7. I had custom setup times for common resources and they did not get migrated over, where do I go to change them? Also I noticed that all the thresholding alerts that were setup for all my devices are no longer there, it looks like those did not get migrated over.
Custom (WMI) Resource Monitor
Hi, I'm currently on OpManager 6 and have a question about creating a custom resource monitor. I have a script that counts the size of certain folders and then returns this to opmanager (just like other scripts I have created in the past using WMI). My question is: what is the timeout value when calling a script for a custom monitor (by custom I mean one I have created myself by editing the appropriate XML files and writing a script.) Reuse in OpManager 7 of custom monitor create in OpManager 6
hi, I would like to know if it's possible to reuse custom monitor create in Opmanager 6. When I try to associate a device to a former custom monitor, I didn't see it in the list. I see the olders custom monitors in the admin tab under monitoring but it is not possible to associate its to a device... Regards

URL Monitors Not Working
I have added 5 url monitor all but 1 show the urls as down, even though all the urls are indeed up. In fact when I click the url in opmanager it pops up the site in a small popup and displays the site to me just fine. When I edit the url and click "CHECK NOW" the following is returned: The URL http://www.nationalgpsservices.com is down, Reason : Host Unavailable. So it thinks the host is unavailable even though I know the url is up. Any ideas?
Monitoring specific process for up/down status
I don't see how to configure opManager to monitor a specific process so an alarm can be generate when the process state changes from up to down. Service monitoring is straight forward but how do you monitor a process that isn't a service ? Jerry

Problem accessing DeviceExpert configs
I have entered and verified the login info for DeviceExpert under the Add-On icon but when I go to a device and try to look at the config all I get is the login page for DeviceExpert. I can click on the routing table info and it shows it but I cannot view the startup or running configs. Any ideas?

Business Views Problems
I was delighted to see I can create and edit business views in the Web based Opmanager 7. However, there seem to be a few problems. a) Opening a map in the server based map editor seems to destroy the browser created version. Even when a save view is not triggered, this sometimes seems to occur. b) Links are so slim on the web version that it is almost impossible to reselect them to edit them. Opmanger 6 / 7 Password Requirements
Is there any way in version 6 to set password restrictions such as minimum number of characters and requiring use of a combination of upper/lower case numbers and/or special characters? For example a password like P@55w0rd? Do you offer a feature like this in V-7? Thanks.
