Wrong OID mappings by SNMP Trap parser
Dear, I am using OpManager to receive SNMP Traps from Cisco/Starent GGSNs. The problem is following. When I receive SNMP trap in OpManager then I've got wrong text which doesn't match to received OID. Opmanager 8.3 SSL
How do we import and existing SSL certificate for use in Opmanager 8.3? I went through the whole process of creating a jks keystore and importing an existing private key and cert and matched the alias and password with keytool but either opmanager crashes on startup, or it hangs on verifying web connection constantly while polling takes place. It shows port 443 open which I had previously change it to but it wont answer web requests.
Cisco Callmanager MIBs- how do I load these?
I have Callmanager 7, which runs on a linux box, so Opmanager only gets the most basic stats. There's a page on Cisco's site, http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseMIB.do?local=en&step=2&submitClicked=true&mibName=CISCO-CCM-MIB#dependencies, that contains .my files and .oid files, but also a bunch of other stuff they say are pre-requisites that must be compiled. What exactly do I need to install into Opmanager so I can get more detailed alerts from the Callmanager server?

All My Events Were Gone...Solution!
Yesterday I noticed that all my events suddenly disappeared from my Network Overview Dashboard. No coaxing I could see could bring the data back to the Event Summary Widget. So, I had to create a NEW business view and associate all my Network Overview Dashboard widgets to the new business view. Suddenly, I had all my events again. Very Strange. Thought I would post this just in case someone runs into this again with OpManager 8 (free ed). Thanks, Tom

Hi, I've uploaded fortigate MIB to opmanager. How can two OID can be joined so that i can have "ipsec phase name" and "up/down" status together. If this is possible i would like to set an alert when vpn connection goes down,combining the phase-1 and up/down status. Hi, Can I configure a levels of thresholf? for example I need to set a threshold to send me an email if the fas0/0 is reached >70% of bandwidth, and another threshold for the same interface (fas0/0) but this time if the bandwidth reached >80% then an SMS! Thanks in advance

How do you edit a monitor?
I would like to edit a monitor to achieve full se of opmanagers monitors. Some of the prebuilt mibs do not work on our devices but custom ones do. We would like to use the custom mibs so the gui monitors will populate.
Is it possible to edit default monitors MIBS?
We have a new Tripplite UPS that does not use the default monitors MIB. I would like to know if we can edit the MIB so the default monitors will populate on the devices main page.
After Updating to the Latest Hotfix Interfaces by Bandwidth Utilization Showing Wrong Receive %
The receive % column lists the link speed of the interface and not the utilization percentage in the widget. The same is true for the Interfaces by Traffic widget. This all happened after updating to 8723.
MSSQL Dashboard View missing and one other problem
I have this problem with several servers that runs sql server 2005, the "MSSQL Dashboard View" is not showing on the individual server-page, is it that opmanager doesnt recognise the sq server on the machine or what? how can i change this? under the service monitor page the mssql service does show, so it seems strange that the sql dashboard view par isnt showing... one other problem also, when i use the quick configuration wizard to apply performance monitors to several devices at the same time
Not able to see the Database list to monitor, whats going wrong?
Hi Team, I'm using OpManager since few days and it seems Greatest Product i have seen for monitoring. I have tried to monitor the database for our sql server. Provided the credentials to access the db but somehow i cant see the list of dbs, it seems empty but in the server we have some databases. Can someone help me to check where can i look to add the database to monitor? For another sql server everything is fine and i can see the list of database and alredy added to monitor, working fine.
How to monitor different file system disk utilization?
Hi all, I'm a new on Opmanager, just got and installed the free edition and trying to use it. I have added a Linux VM which has 2 disks. One is root mounted, the other is mounted on /disk2. I'd like to monitor Disk Utilization of the second disk but looks like the report I got is relevant to first one only. How can I monitor the second disk? I would like to display the overall availability of group of devices in Excel. I have created the business view and can see all my devices. Is it possible for Excel to interogate the OpManager database and obtain this information?
Exchange 2007 "Messages Sent/sec" value increments rather than showing current flow
Hi all, My instinct says this counter should show current mail flow levels/second but the counter appears to be showing a constantly incrementing total of all messages sent since the Exchange services were last restarted. Is this an error or an expected behaviour? I note that this value behaves the same way in the free Exchange health monitor as well as Op Manager Thanks Paul D
RHEL 5 Can't get data from SSH monitors
Hi I'm running Opmanager build 8502 on WinXP. I'm trying to get cpu and memory usage stats from VMs running RHEL5.5. I have configured the SSH login details in the credentials and it sucessfully passes the test. But when testing the monitors it returns "the monitor did not respond to the test request". I can SSH to the VM and run the commands manually. Has anyone got any ideas? Dave
SMS Gateway API
Are there any plans or maybe a current method of using OPManager with an SMS Gateway API? I don't want to use hardware based SMS methods and email to SMS is dependant on the email system being online, so I'm looking for a way to use a web based HTTP post SMS gateway API as the method for doing SMS alerts. Any way to make that work or plans to add it as a feature in an upcoming version?
Issue Report: the speed which shown in link details in biz view is not correct
I have find a bug in biz view map, the speed in link details is not correct I have already changed the interface traffic details- bandwidth receive and transmit from 100M to 2M, which you can find in attached file 1. However, when I back to biz view map, the link details speed is still 100M, you can find it in attached file 2

Netgear GS748TPS
We three sets of netgear gs748tps. They are stacked in configurations of three to a stack per floor. Opmanager reads them and the interfaces. However, when we try to create a Map of the switches and the deviecs connected to them, the selection only says "ethernet interface". It will not list the ports on the devices. (see atached image) The system OID is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.100.10.7 has anyone had an issue like this. Any help would be appreciated since we only a few days left to make a purchase decision

Connected Nokia 6120 classic to send out SMS Alerts - sending alerts but receiving mobile cannot open message
Hello, We have the latest version of OpManager running. We recently rebuilt the monitoring server to Windows server 2008 R2 and our Wavecom modem is no longer supported on this OS. So we attached a Nokia 6120 Classic via USB to the server on COM6. OpManager picks it up and sends out alerts however the receiving phone (also a Nokia 6120) cannot read the sms, gets the error "Unable to open. Message format not supported." Does anyone know how to make this work? Thanks.

I've got an installation with 12 ESXi hosts monitored with the latest build of OpManager. One og my ESXi hosts doesn't update the storage area, telling me that some storage LUN's are out of diskspace when they are not. How can I make OpManager to show or update the actual disk usage? Hi: I meet a problem in Maps-Category, I have added 14 printers in printers category, but when I click maps-category-printer, in map page, I can only see 9 device in that page, however, when I switch to list page, all 14 device can be see, I have upload the 2 pages as attached files, the OpManager version is 8271, many thanks!
Multiple Event Log ID's to 1 Rule
Is it possible to create a single Event Log Rule in OpManager for multiple Event ID's (like you can with EventLog Analyzer?) For example I want 2 rules: 1 for non-standard Logon failures (530,531,532,533,535,536,537,539,627,644,4625) and 1 for std Logon Failures (529) Or do I have to create a seperate rule for each event ID?
Feature request for folder monitoring
We have a requirement to monitor a folder which processes files in batches. A remote process/server delivers files to this folder to be analysed and processed. We need to know if it's processing OK. Unfortunately, file count monitoring can't be used as we don't know how many files will be dropped in at any time, or when they will arrive. What we would like, if possible is to monitor the last modified date (age) of the oldest file in the folder and alert if it does not change between a specified poll

Allied Telesis stacked switches problem
Hi, I have got 2 AT-9448s/XP switches configured in a stack, where one of them is having a role as master while other is member. In Oputils 5, on switch port mapper, it shows only 48 ports, and it should map all 96 ports from both switches. Also, Oputils groups by the hosts from desired port on both switches. Example: on port 1.2 I have 2 hosts (host a, and host b), and on port 2.2 I have 3 hosts (host c, host d, host e). On Switch port mapper I can find 5 hosts under port 2. Which means that it
Issue with VMWARE ESXi 4.1
Just a few days ago we migrated to new VMware. We took this opportunity to scale some of our monitoring machines into the virtual environement. After building a new Win 2008 x64 virtual machine and loading OpManager 8722 I cannot discover or monitor our VMware Hosts. We have tried several options but the vendor, category never recognizes as vmware. Errors from removed ports?
We are running the latest version of OpManager Professional (Build 8722 ) We have a number of network switches that are monitored. Our requirement is to only monitor uplinks and not all switch ports as this creates a nightmare of alarms to manage(a user unplugging his laptop generates an alarm?). Once the switches have been added to OpM we manually remove all monitored ports so that only the uplink ports remain for monitoring.
