switch port mapper for catalyst 4507R not displaying MAC addresses
I'm running OpUtils Professional 5.8 #58027. I'm using snmp v2 to perform switch port mapper but some interfaces show up as Used/Up with not mac or ip address displayed. Business view + spanning tree
Hello, Could you please tell me if there is any possible way how can I show link between two switches by different colour when one switch has got on a port setup spanning tree (for example blocked status) ? Because there is only in "Business view" link status such as Shutdown, Down, Others and unManage. At this time I can only show monitor on a switch by using .1.3.6.1.2.1.17.2.15.1.3 oID. Where I see on a port state 2 which is blocked status. So question is How can I see that in the business view.
Unresponsive Server Notification
Greetings, I have a server that becomes unresponsive, however, still responds to pings. Most of the monitored items become unresponsive although process monitors still show green. I don't receive any notification of any failures or that the server is down or that performance monitors are not receiving information from the server. Does anyone have a way to be notified in this situation? I don't like being notified by users!! Thanks! Chris
How do I monitor DHCP service in linux?
I tried to add monitor "DHCP with port 67" but it doesn't have response time. Do i get the wrong port? Though I'm pretty sure DHCP service is running I'm on my linux.. what will I do next?
SNMPTRAP not raised as alarms at OpManger due to exceptions
Hello My service sends an SNMP TRAP to OpManager but the alarm is never raised. We can see the TRAP in the MIBparser tool but not in the OpManager GUI (not in alarms). Looking at the logs i saw that the nosuchinstance exceptions were raised due to the lack of 3 parameter in the trap. Is it possible for OpManager to raise an alarm even if there are some exceptions?? Bandwidth notification profile
Hello everyone, I hope have what will be a simple question. Currently we have one notification profile for all our routers. It alerts us if there is a bandwidth overuse, the device misses 1 poll, or there is a problem on the interfaces. My boss wants to put the bandwidth notification as a separate instance. That way when it happens the subject will say "Bandwidth overuse". I've created a separate profile, but it doesn't seem to work. I have set to notify when any selected threshold is violated. But

Bug in the NCM plugin
Dont know if anyone has seen this behavior. In the NCM plugin we have our devices set to monitor for change management through the syslog. We typically go in and mark unauthorized changes (changes made outside of the NCM) as authorized in a review period. The NCM module will kick the user out and go back to the login interface for OpManager after authorizing three dates. You can sign back in, do three more and it will kick you out again. Phantom device in Opmanager - unable to delete
I have a device that keeps reporting in my alarm tap ever few minutes as being down. When I click on this device, opmanager says it does not exist. The server is actually gone. I went ahead and quickly created a server with the same name to see if I can add it and then remove from opmanager. Still did not work. I also noticed if you hover over the name, let's say is called "server1" , with the mouse, a balloon would pop out and say is "server2" I went I head and tried finding server2 and it did not
OPmanger 8811 how to adjust Exchange mailbox stores
If i setup Exchange server 2007 for first type it will ask me to add mail store file names. After the setup how can you adjust the mail store file names. I have 5 storage groups. The mail store files are not in default folder they are in storage group named directory. How do you state it in OP Manager

Removing interfaces from multiple devices
Hi, I would like to remove several interfaces from multiple devices monitored by OpManager. Is there a way to do this in bulk, or do i have to go to each device and select and remove the interfaces manually. Ideally i dont want to monitor any interfaces on the devices anymore, i just want to monitor the device so i can reduce the resources used by Opmanager. Is there a way to do this. Thanks
SNMP traps from Cisco wlc 5508
Hello! I have a Cisco wireless controller (5508). This box is sending snmp traps to OPmanager. I want these traps to generate alarms in opmanager when ap's go down. One alarm for each ap. So far so Good. I get this to work with one ap but if several ap's goes down there still be only one alarm (for the last ap that go down). I am using the mib airespace-wireless-mib and use the bsnapDisassociated and bnsapassociated traps to do this. How can i use this traps to understand that it is different ap's

Hi, I can't see any traps in unsollicited view. - Traps are received on OpManager server (check with tcpdump) - I can See traps with trapViewer on OpManager server (AdventNet MibBrowser) - SNMP Trace service is up on OpManager server - The device sending traps is managed in OpManager - I Got no snmp trap processor What's wrong? is there any log? how to configure the community string in OpManager server and make sure the traps is set to accept from any host? Difficulty setting up Windows service notification profiles
Anyone notice how difficult it is to setup a notification profile for Windows services, or am I just doing it wrong. I have all of my services that I want to monitor, already being monitored, however when I want to setup a notification profile for this server, I have to go through and pick the services I want to monitor, from a list. This wouldnt be so bad except the fact that they are not listed ALPHABETICALLY. What a PAIN! I have been able to work around it by using an alarm escalation profile,

OpManager not scanning after backup loaded
We are running version 8723 and are having a problem. After we reloaded a previous backup (using only the config backup) OpManager will no longer scan all of the network devices for status. The only one it looks like it usually scans after loading is the closes router (which all other devices depend upon). But that router is up and snmp data is being pulled. Is there any way to refresh or force OpManager to start scanning.
DNS name not display
I have 750 devices being monitored by OPmanager ver 8723. However, some of the devices only display the IP address and some display the DNS name. How to resolve this issue..? regards, anathan
