Notification on alert acknowledgement
WE would like to have the ability for an email or other action to be triggered when a technician acknowledges an alert. This would inform my staff that someone else is addressing the issue and they do not need to get involved.
New Infrastrucutre View + Device Template
I am trying to add a new Category, and then create a device template to be applied to that category. I can get this far, but I don't see the ability to add Windows Service monitors inside the template. Am I missing something? Thanks Shaun

How to minotor status of the OPManager Server itself.
Over the weekend i just notice there were power failure happen few times because of building maintenance. So my boss need to know the status/info of the OPMAnager itself, like at what time the server down, or healthiness of the OPManager Server. I suppose it should have by default or i just cant find it. Issue with OpManager Syslog server
Hello, I'm currently evaluating OpManager to determine if it is the right product for our company. I have added devices for monitoring, however I discovered there is an issue with the syslog server. It reads as follows in the OpManager console : "SyslogServer Failed to start due to Address already in use: bind for the port 514. Click here to change the port." Any help would be much appreciated.
Device not reachable V8
After installing V8, I get the message that the Device is not reachable. I had no problems like this in V7. I have ran discover and it does not find my router. I can see the MIBs for the host from V8. I thought it might have been a machine problem, so I reformatted my server and we still have this issue.

Hello, Is there a way to build a report based on Availibility and Response / Devices Availibility with additional colums (not only Device name, total down time, availibility percentage). I would like to add device Notes \ comments, floor or other fields associated to the device, in a report. OpMgr 8811 move issue
Hello, I'm trying to move Opmanger 8811 from a 32 bit Win 2003 server to 64 bit 2008R2 server SQL database. We're also moving the database from SQL 2000 to 2008. I've copied over the Opmgr directory from the 2003 server to the 2008 server. When I change the name of the 2008 Opmanager directory and replace it with the 2003 and try to connect to the SQL 2008 db I get the error No Driver Jar is found. I am able to connect to the SQL 2008 db using the Opmanger folder originally installed on the
Monitoring Juniper
I talked to the support team regarding the Juniper devices and realized that OpManager currently does not have Juniper MIBs. So, either we have to manually download and install each MIB which is very time consuming or wait for the next version that contains all the Juniper MIBs but there's no ETA. Memory Utilization by java.exe
After i would say a week of uptime i notice that i am not getting on the home page any type of "Servers with high CPU..." or Routers with high Memory ..." and at the same time i no longer seem to get any notifications of faults. During this time i also get no reporting on interface utilization ect... I then remote into the server and notice that java.exe is using over 1GB of ram. The processor seems fine but memory only has around 50MB free. This is obviously the problem but i am unsure if java.exe

Need to turn Automatic Discovery feature OFF
We are on OpManager build 872; we do not want to upgrade if we do not have to right now. What we need is to turn off the automatic discovery feature. Every time we create a new virtual server in VMWare, OpManager automatically sees it. We want only the ability to add the server to OpManager when we want to. Thanks you

Hello, I upgraded OPManager to 8812 then I installed MCM-Plug-in but when I tried to access in admin page settings I got waiting on .... in my browser then come back to login page. Administration of snmp trap processors
Would you please make it easier to administer snmp trap processors? With more than 1000 defined traps, it is a nightmare to administer the snmp trap definitions. I would like to have bulk administration for a given OID (add, modify, delete and search) . I would also like to have a couple of extra fields in the snmp traf definition: the name of the vendor and the type of equipment.

Hi, I've noticed a flicker when moving the cursor up and down a icon in a business view. This is very annoying and sometimes prevent me from clicking a link. Hi I am moving OPManager from MYSQL to MSSQL but it seems to be taking a very long time. My MYSQL database was just under 6GB in size and it took about an hour to make backup of the database. I am now restoring it into MSSQL after following the instructions to change the database configuration.
