Maintenance Schedule - Notes
We use the downtime scheduler often. I would love a new feature to put in a note about the scheduled outage. In this way someone who is uninformed of the planned maintenance, should they look in opmanager, could see why, and what the maintenance window pertains to. I would like the noted comments to appear on some bubble window or some such for every device that is added to that downtime scheduled maintenance. Thank you
Dell 2700W UPS
Hi I've added 2 Dell UPS's to OpManager, while its finding them etc, it doesn't appear to querying the status, such Charge, Remaining Time etc. I've switch on SNMP etc, but still no joy. Can anybody advise on this? Do I need to setup a device template for them?
Alarms
Is there way to adjust the alarm threshold or criteria? I would like to monitor my interfaces so i do not want to change them as unmanaged but I am having an issue with receieving way to many alarms. For example if an interface goes up/down or if the utilization exceeds 30 percent OpManager generates an alarm. I am fine with the software keeping track of that type of information however there is no reason to generate an alarm for such types of messages, otherwise I receive so much noise I am forced
Some interfaces still can't get NFA data on OPM

Business view: multiple links from one node
Hi, I've recently updated our OpManager installation to 9101. Now I have strange problem with existing (and new) business views. It seems that I cannot create links ie. from node a to node b and c, so that monitoring happens on node a interface (ie. eth0). Before upgrading this was possible and I have old business views that have multiple links from one node to many, and the monitoring happens on the one -side. Is this a bug or feature? If this is a feature, it makes the whole business view feature

Syslog viewer - Almost impossible to see syslogs as they come in...............
Hi guys. I'm trying to add a bunch of syslog rules in OpManager 9 to generate alerts as they come in from syslogs. Whilst the feature appears to work quite well once I define my rule etc. I'm finiding it almost impossible to actually capture a sample syslog message as it hits OpManager as they scroll past so quickly and there's no facility provided to view all logs received over a given time for instance. Also, I don't seem to be able to copy and paste the syslogs from the syslog viewer. Can you
Get ambient temperature
Hi, We have a few HP Proliant servers and we can get with the cpqhlth.mib the temperature for a bunch of places in the server, but they are all bundled under 1 OID. Is there a way we can break these apart and get only the ambient temp etc? Thanks,
Opmanager not able to start
My Opmanager is failing to start after getting a database connection loss error message. I restarted the server and started the service. Then it says my database is corrupted. So I did a database repair. When I stopped the Opmanager service to repair the database. I keep getting this error message "myisamchk: warning: 1 client is using or hasn't closed the table properly myisamchk: MyISAM file mysql\data\OpManagerDB\topouserprops.MYI" How can I resolved this issue ?
Network Printers with Web Services
Hello, We have a number of networked printers that have their own web services (HTTP, FTP) that we would like to monitor along with the rest of the default printer monitors. It seems, by default, the Printers category does not have the option to monitor services like these. Is there a way to add this to the Printers category, or would I be forced to create a new group specifically for this purpose? How would I go about doing this? Thanks
Workflow - DNS Tests
Hello, I am building workflows that test critical network connectivity. One of the tests I want to perform is to check multiple DNS servers by making a basic query to each one. The DNS lookup function doesn't appear support this kind of advanced testing.While some advanced DNS lookup options would be a nice feature, I'd prefer to just be able to execute a windows command and have the results added to the workflow results. Set Dependency in bulk
Hello, Almost all of my devices have one dependency due to the setup of my environment. I would like to be able to associate most of my switches, routers, and servers with this one dependency in bulk. Is there any way to do that? If not, that is definitely a feature that should be added.

View Devices Attached to a Switch Port
I'm trying to decide between OpManager and AdRem's NetCrunch for a network management software, and the one feature I'm really sold on for NetCrunch is the ability to list the interfaces in a Cisco switch and then the corresponding MAC address, IP address, and hostname (if resolvable) that is visible from that switch (lists one if only one device is attached, lists multiple if another switch is beyond that port, etc.). Hi, I recently added 9 virtual terminal servers in OpManager to monitor services. Everything worked fine but suddenly our Terminal Server named TS3 started to give the error message: Interface 'Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection-Local Area Connection' is down. The other devices are working perfectly. TS3 does have a Local area connection that is working. We used the Intel(R) PRO/1000 adapter but changed it to another adapter. Network outage notification
With opmanager is there way to assign customers to devices, and then schuedule regular maintanence within opmanager and that will notify the customers associated to devices of said maintanence? EX. associate cust. A to device swtich1. Then i want to scheudule a maintanence window and assign swtich1 to that window. When that happens i want cust A to get an email with the details fo the maintanence window and any other information i put in the mainanence window. This would be very helpfull,
Multiple cores do not show under CPU monitor
I have a dual 6 core server that I am trying to monitor but the CPU monitor only shows a CPU0 and CPU1. I am using the WMI CPU monitor. I tried to open a support ticket but it will not let me login. I am running verison 9101 and the server I am trying to get the cores to display on is Dell R510 running Windows 2008 R2. Thanks
New Event Log rule not monitored
I have created an event log rule under applications for an event log entry that is created by an in house application. I have associated the rule with the server it runs on and added two notification profiles (SMS and Email) to notify on the event. When I cause the application to fail, thereby creating an event, it is not seen at all by OpManager. Thanks, Darin
Adding new device with specific interface type only?
Hi all I am new to Opmanager, and seem to have some difficulty when I add a new device, since all interface types is added as well. I have device with 500+ Ethernet interfaces and 500+ Proprietary Virtual interfaces, so adding them manually is a long process... So - is it possible to only add a specific interface type, ie. 'Ethernet'? Thanks in advance!
PDF Reports blank
We have a custom PDF report which shows all alerts generated from the previous 24 hours and since upgrading to Version 9101 from Version 9000 of Opmanager, this report is now blank. It does not show "Data not available", it's completely blank. Other reports like Availability work OK when generated from the device pages and running reports from the Reports page then saving them as PDF's woks fine too. An example is attached Any thoughts? Just upgraded to OPManager 9 - VMware issues
I got all my ESXi 4.1 hosts in OPManager, but I'm having some issues getting all the VMs to report properly. I had it checked to Inventory the hosts as it added them so I could see the VM's that were currently running on each host. All hosts show a couple VM's with no information. When I try to "Discover This VM" I get the error "Could not set the relationship". Some (not all) of them also got pulled in under the Server category and I'm not able to change it to VirtualDevice. Hi, I would like to use the Opmanager Rest Api in a vbs script. Is it possible to add an event in opmanager via a vbs script. Need to monitor Ubiquiti Unifi wifi access points via shell script - AP runs linux and busybox (ash shell)
What we are after is the status of the ath1 or wifi0 interface which can be got via ifconfig on the device. OpManager is running on windows. Not sure where to start but it sounds like we want to run the ifconfig on the device and parse the output for "up" appearing close to/within one line of "ath0" An idea of how to do this will give me clues to look at other stats from the device eg with the athstats command which gives detailed packet stats for the wifi interface. Adding devices/Interface Template
Hi all, I am having an issue when adding devices with 1000+ ethernet ports and 1000 vlans, since I only want the ethernet ports in Opmanager. Is it, in any way, possible to add a device and only adding specific interface types? Example - I add a switch and do not wish to add VLANS (Proprietary Virtual), but only Ethernet? Thanks! -Philip
Credential entry bug?
When trying to add credentials to the list of stored credentials I have encountered a problem. When entering a password that begins with either a $ or a � and click save, the credentials are not saved at all and I then cannot navigate off the page or store any more credentials. I have to close OpManager (I can't even log out) and re-connect to be able to continue. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Regards, Joe

OpManager raising ticket and update
Hi I have opManager and SD+ integrated and have alerts being raised as tickets in SD+. Is there anyway that the ticket number and dealing technician can be passed back to OpManager and inserted into the Notes section of the alert? I understand that I can use IT automation to acknowledge the alert and add notes, but I want to put specific information in. Can I do it, or is this in a future release? Netapp interface traffic wrong
Hi, I have started a fresh installation of OP-manager with 8811. Adding NETAPP FAS 3020, and Cisco switch 4507, i have noticed that there is a big difference between the traffic reported on the port of the cisco switch versus the traffic reported on the netapp. Attached the comparison: I have added the port-channel and the port members traffic from the switch on the first page and the VIF and port members from netapp on the second page. 64bit traffic counters are not working
Hi, I have an issue to monitor traffic on Windows server (2003/2008) and our NetApp storage. 32bit traffic counters are working, but all interfaces are 1Gb and counters can be overwritten. I.e. I need 64bit counters. I tryed to switch 32bit/64bit and vice versa, but it doesn't help. 64bit trafic counters are NA. Can you please help me to resolve this issue ? Thanks.
