View Devices Attached to a Switch Port
I'm trying to decide between OpManager and AdRem's NetCrunch for a network management software, and the one feature I'm really sold on for NetCrunch is the ability to list the interfaces in a Cisco switch and then the corresponding MAC address, IP address, and hostname (if resolvable) that is visible from that switch (lists one if only one device is attached, lists multiple if another switch is beyond that port, etc.).
If there is a way to do this with OpManager, I'd be very happy with it since we already use other ManageEngine modules on our network and are comfortable with them. I know which switch port my PC hooks up to (based on my NetCrunch trial) and added my PC as a discovered device in OpManager, but when I view the interface it doesn't tell me anything about attached devices, and my PC doesn't show up in any maps. Is there no solution for this in OpManager?
