Make Mib file compatible with OpManager
Hi, Could somebody please make the attached MIB file compatible with OpManager? It's for the Avaya Communication manager 5.2.1. Build 9010 - Blank Dials for CPU, Memory and Network
Hello, Recently upgraded to 9010, the issue of blank dials continues to happen. Still unable to change a device from Virtual Device to Server. WMI connection works fine to test CPU utilization. History Reports pane shows all "NO DATA COLLECTED". Thanks.

How to use Wavecom M1306B Modem?
Hi support, I've bought a Wavecom M1306B Modem and installed it as a standard 56000 bps Modem on a Windows 2003 Server where Opmanager is installed. With Hyperterminal i can use AT commands to dial out and this is working fine. The modem is installed on COM1. If I go to the SMS server settings in Opmanager and enter the Port Number to COM1 I get a message stating Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings. What am I missing here? Please help. Custom HDD Usage Dial Calculation
I have an active node cluster server, thus I would like to exclude the other SAN disks as it the dial will give wrong value when some disks removed/added (as the total disk space stored in "asset details") This server is running on Windows Server 2003. Monitoring is done via WMI. OpManager used is: License Type : Essential Build Number : 8722 I've checked the OID for the drives that I wanted to monitor which is Drive C & Drive E. Custom Tables
If I wanted to do a query on opmanager. This is what I want to look for. Listed below. device name with certain days and times and I want to look at utilization in and out of a perticular interface. Does anyone know what tables I would need to accomplish this if possible. for example. trying to do custom report for april 2 2012 to may1 times 7:00am to 18:00pm but I need this perticular time due to this is our production hours. Or if any has a script that can do this or what tables I could use to
Error # The RPC server is unavailable when adding performance monitor
Hi, We get the message Error # The RPC server is unavailable when we try to add a performance monitor on 1 server. It was working before since we have other performance monitors. When we test the credentials it gives the same error. The DCOM and RPC are working on the server, I was able to connect with wbemtest and do some queries. It is not the firts time it has done this on 2 separate installations of OpManager and the only way we found to correct this is to delete the device and add it again.
Planned maintenance window
I have tried to find such feature in the product but there seems to be nothing available. We may need to restart monitored servers at certain planned times and would not like to have all the alarm bells ringing at the same time. Is there something similar in the product that I have missed or is this feature planned for the future?

DB RESTORATION in OpManager
Hi team, Initially I had Opmanager installed in a PC as server but now I bought another SERVER, I installed OpManager in the New server and wanted to transfer the DB to the new server, After Creating the Backup, burned in a CD and as i was trying to transfer to NEW server, I got the following challenges. Mster/Central server alarms not cleared
Hi We use enterprise edition, and it seems that my alarms do not get cleared on the central server, even though it is cleared on the probe itself. I have tried restarting the central server and the probes, but no luck. Is there a way that I can clear/delete all "false" alarms on the central server? Regards

Hi, I had configured OpManager to show performance of my database server. I had configure it to show all the performance counters but it fails me to give performance readings(graphs) of CPU Utilization,Memory Utilization & Disk Utilization. I tried to troubleshoot but doesnot help. Pls. guide.

Unable to monitor MSSQL
Hi, I added WMI and SNMP monitors under Performance Monitors, I can see data and it works. But when I add a MSSQL monitor (Total size of DB), it failed - no data. I tried restart SNMP services, readd MSSQL monitors, relogin OpManager... still I can't get the MSSQL monitor data. I set the SNMP services as Read-only on both machine. Is there anything I miss out? Using OpManager 8 and Mic SQL Server 2005 on Win Server 2008. Thanks.
Scheduled reports to multiple recipients
Hi, I have installed OP Manager version 9101. I created scheduled reports and when I tried to put more than one e-mail addresses to recipients field (and separated them by comma), I had message "enter valid email ID". When I put just one address, everything went just fine. But how to configure several address to e-mail recipients?
Profiles for notifications
Is there any way to create notification profiles and assign them for servers based on SLA's? Meaning we have servers in 24/7 SLA so only one notification profile is created (for eg. 24/7) and then just assign it to all servers which belong to that. And also same for server which are in 8-17, etc. Now you have to configure that server by server.
opmanager does not display exchange dashboard?
i've installed opmanager build 8723 to check out the product before we purchase - it's supposed to display an exchange-oriented dashboard, but all i get is the normal dashboard. the server is running windows server 2003 and exchange server 2003 standard. i saw a post on here talking about application monitors... but i don't see anything like that in the device view or the admin panel...

Opmanager 9 Failover - Secondary server service stops
Our Opmanager failover is working fine, but after failback the secondary servers Opmanager service is stopped. 1. Shutdown primary server 2. Alert is received that primary server is down 3. After about a minute the secondary server is accessible through http://server2:80 4. Turn primary server back on 5. Primary server takes over and is accessible at http;//server1:80 But then we receive an email that the secondary server is down. When I log into the secondary server the Opmanager service is stopped.

Fix database after time shift
In our testing environment, we have shifted the time for the domain backward for some simulation testing. Unfortunately, OpManager has become confused and has stopped monitoring our servers. I tried to rediscover and test each monitor, and that worked for a little while yesterday - but today it's back to not monitoring. For example, today is May 16 2012. The last time OpManager thinks it monitored the servers was in August 2012. So, it's waiting until then (I think) before it monitors again. I would

SQL DB instances lose backslash
Just tried migrating my fully patched Opmanager backend database this morning from a SQL 2005 server to a SQL 2008 server. My DBA successfully backed up the database and restored to the new server. I ran the DBConfiguration.bat file and entered in the new connection info. My problem is the 2008 SQL servers use instances. I can enter the new connection info and the tool accepts the new server with instance without error. Unfortunately the service fails to start and the logs I find show attempts to
Opmanager syslog file
Hello, I'm running Opmanager with the NCM and Netflow addons. I've read a few posts saying that Opmanager doesn't store syslog entries. Having a historical record of all syslog messages is very useful for troubleshooting. Is there a way to make it dump all received syslog messages to a file? i.e. like a normal unix system. SMS cut after 125 signs
Hi! I've updated OpManager to the newest HotFix 8722. Since the point of installation all SMS are cut after 125 signs and a second SMS containing the rest of the signs of the alarm is sent. Layer2 Topology Map - just "Error!"
I am just learning OpManager 9101 evaluation 32-bit version (still waiting licence) under Linux 2.6.32-220.13.1.el6.i686, when I am clicking on "layer 2 topology map" tab under "maps" or "network", only a page displaying "error" is coming up. SMS_out queue monitoring
All, Is there a way, how to monitor SMS queue on OpManager ? We have some troubes with Cell Operator and sometimes GSM modem is not working. I would like to see an email notification if SMS queue is more than 5 messages during 20 minutes.
APC UPS alarms incorrectly
We have APC UPS's installed with AP9630 MGMT cards. When running on batteries the device correctly alarms. However, when the UPS is operating on SmartTrim, the device is flagging as running on batteries, which is technically correct but the UPS is only compensating for an irregular input voltage. The device profiles for APC UPS seem to alarm on everything apart from condition onLine(2). Is it possible for me to edit the default behaviour of the APC UPS template to also ignore when upsBasicOutputStatus
Update interface descriptions
The interface descriptions on the cisco infrastructure I manage change on a somewhat regular basis. Switch Port Mapping Issue
Hello everyone, It is observed that, In the Demo versoin of Opmanager, a graph mapping to an interface is showing incorrect. Actual bandwidth flow in that particular port is 16Mbps but it is showing zero. What might be the issue. Please help me in this regard.
OPManager Interface Graphs Pictures not displayed sometimes
We use OPManager 7023 with a few cisco firewalls. But we can only see the Interface traffic Image sometimes. In most cases the image is missing and a red cross is displayed (see attachment). We deleted and readded the firewalls several times but it is always the same. Sometimes you can see the traffic interafce graph and a few hours later it doesn't work. Thanks in advance.
OpManager some information about flapping and inactive port
Hello to everyone, i'm evaluating OpManager, but i have some doubts... in my dashboard i see a lot of alarms about the ports of the my switches, for example when an operator turn off the PC, the port in the switch goes down and there is an allarm, my question is this, how can i do to see the allarm only when occur a flapping? Because is uncomfortable see a lot of message if you have 30 switches :( Thanks
