Has anyone used Opmanager MSP to monitor a exchange 2007 environment? If so what works and what doesn't? Are there any plans to full support ex2007 in newer versions?

Suspend an alert for a soecified period of time
I run the MSP version and would like to suspend an alert for a specified period of time. As an example, I might notify a client that space on Drive C has exceeded the threshold. They then may take a day or so to fix the problem. I would like to suspend Drive C errors for a specified time say 24 hours so it does not continue to generate alarms, and so that the alarm screen is not cluttered. Is there a way to do this? If not maybe in a future release?

Citrix Metaframe MIB problem
Hello , I have a problem uploading metaframe.mib to monitor my citrix servers with Op Manager. In the attachment you would see the parsing error on the metaframe.mib file. I took the MIB file from Citrix Presentation Server 4 CD. Unfortunately Citrix Support only HP NNM, Unicenter TNG and IBM Tivolli. Does somebody has an idea how to correct this problem? Thank you
error of Database connections disconnected
Hi there, I just installed and start the OpManager, When I started OpManager, which can't connect a database. And then I tried to disable SELinux and link libdb-3.2.so to libdb-4.2.so, still can't start up a client side. however how can i solve that problem and would be paste those error message in there. OP7 not working!!!
I have been evaluating OP6 for the last week or so and I saw OP7 this morning. I uninstalled OP6 and installed OP7. I started OP7 and got the message that something was already running on port 8060. So I ran the changeport script to 9090 and now when I try to access OP7 I get the following: *** Start message*** Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. ENTITY-MIB
Whenever I try to pull up ENTITY-MIB in the "Admin > SNMP Trap Processors" section, it comes up and says "Error!". Opmanager SNMP and Apple mac xserve
Hi there, As any one had any luck monitoring Apple mac xserve using Opmanager? I have configured SNMP on the xserve and it looks to be working OK. However, in Opmanagger I can not seem to get any graphs or data for CPU, Memory, Disk Utilization. I have also tried using Telnet/SSH based monitors for Linux with no luck Thanks James

Problems with OpManager 7
I just upgraded to OpManager 7, the demo looks extremely impressive. However there is something seriously wrong with the web interface on my version. Images are missing, some of the javascript links don't work and it looks as if a css template isn't being applied. I've attached a screen shot to give a better idea of what's going on. I'm running Fedora Core 5. Thanks
CPU Usage Via Linux Agent HOSTRESOURCE MIB Wrong
Hello, I am running Opmanager 6015, with the Linux Agent SNMP. Everything works well in opmanager, except the CPU usage resource monitor via HOSTRESOURCE MIB is wrong. It says anywhere from 3 - 12%, even though I have a CPU stress tester program and I run it, and it uses a 100%, I have verified this via top and uptime. Any idea why the wrong CPU usage is being displayed? When I go into the Linux Agent Tool, port 8040 everything seems right. I just think OpManager is mis-reading or calculating the

Service Desk Plus Ver 6 build 6005
I am trying to migrate my Service Desk to a new server. I have updated both to Ver 6 build 6005 then backed up the data on the old server, copied the backup file to the new server and tried to restore it. The restore will not complete. I get the following error message: at jave.lang.thread.run <unkown source> Unable to restore database : null, message from server : "Duplicate entry '1557106716-72004' for Key 1" How do I correct this?

OpManager MIB Browser Error
The OpManager MIB Browser displays an error message anytime I try to select a mib item ie: sysName. The error message is " ee [Object Error]" Has anyone ever seen this error or have an idea of the cause...I feel the browser is having problems reading the MIB files... Then say "Click [here...] to remove and readd the device" but nothing happens. At the first time the device was added but after a couple minutes disappear and show this message and it doesn't allow me to readd the device.
Errors encountered in SOLARIS environment
1. Error in monitoring SOLARIS environment via SSH After supplying the username and password in the fields for OPManager to be able to monitor resources via telnet. We can't seem to get any of this to work. When we tried to login to the server via putty(using SSH protocol) we can invoke the commands used by OPManager to get the needed resoutrce. Testing email systems
We are running MSP Opmanager and were wondering if there is any solution for checking that email systems at our monitored clients are able to send and receive email. Whilst using Opmanager we can monitor the Exchange server and its services as well as the Internet connection there still may be other reasons why mail is not able to be sent or received. Whilst we can look at a solution external to Opmanager wed prefer to keep it within MSP Opmanager Any suggestions or ideas would be most appreciated
install opmanager and MSP central on same machine

Alert Threshold for SNMP traps
Good day. Is there a way to be able to set an alert threshold for a number of SNMP traps received. Instead of just raising an alarm using the SNMP trap processor for every event?. This is obviously a requirement as devices will be sending varied and custom types of SNMP traps, and it is possible that one single event needs to trigger an alarm. I am aware you can do custom monitors and place a threshold on the number of times a poll exceeds the threshold, but this is not on SNMP traps. What I am monitoring

Hello, I am running OpManager 6015 on CentOS linux. For some reason OpManger fails to start automatically anymore. It used to work perfectly. I have tried reconfiguring via: chkconfig opmanger on And still doesnt start. Though when I go into the folder /etc/init.d and execute: ./opmanager start It start opmanager up and it works. Here is the output of /var/log/opmanger.log, it says it failed to start MySQL daemon. Any ideas why? inside addon check Unable to start Mysql daemon Unable to create database
OM6: install with remote MSSQL2005 backend database?
Hi, I am trying to install Opmanager6 on a debian linux server. I want to do this with a backend database on MSSQL2005, just like I did with SD+. However during install there is no DB selection field (like in SD+) and I cannot find it in the GUI either after the default MYSQL install. On the features page on adventnet.com it states that this should be done by accessin g the DB Manager, but I cannot seem to find this tool. Can anyone tell me how to install (not migrate) OM6 on a MSSQL database? thanks,
Opmanager installing on Suse?
Long time ago Suse was not supported to the point it would not install/run properly. I was able to get it going once I believe. My question now is Opmanager able to be truly installed and run from Suse, or should I look at Fedora instead?

Threshold for disk space
Is there a way in OpManager build 6010 to have more than one threshold set for disk space? For instance ATTENTION at 80% used, TROUBLE at 90% used and CRITICAL at 95% used. using WMI monitors on same system. Thanks.
Failed to establish connection with web server...
Hi, at the moment we are evaluating OpManager6 premium + SDplus. Everything went fine for the last 3 weeks, but suddenly (yesterday evening) following error occured: We were not able to open the web interface of OpManager. After some investigations it seems there is a problem with the built-in webserver. The Apache Server was not running anmore. After the service being restarted by hand it went down immideatly without any error messages or eventlog entries. Now we tried to start the server again

Is there a documented method to run the netop manager process as a service under linux without having to hack up a pre-existing script in /etc/init.d? What do others do for startup? Custom Report
I am trying to set up a custom report to provide to a client. I'd like to generate a report which includes total traffic on a set of switch VLAN interfaces (Cisco 4509). Unfortunately, it seems the custom report wizard will only allow me to select a single interface - also, the list of interfaces is not complete. We are running build 6002 of the MSP version and I am generating reports from the central server.
URL Service Availability
We have a lot of URL we want to monitor using OPManager, however the front page of the site doesn't really indicate the availability of the service. We still need to do a logon to check if the service is up. Can this be supported somehow? This feature will be more helpful to check the service itself. Thanks
