cpu utilization.
opmanager doesnt seem to capture the cpu utilization for my routers. i have done the troubleshoot and everything is fine. opmanager managed to capture the memory utilization but not the cpu utilization. any solutions?

MSP Customer Ticket Access
I'm currently evaluating OpManager MSP and would like to give customers access to the ticket section so they can log there own requests. The problem is that non of the accounts can get access via the main login page, only users created as support reps have access. Is there a different URL to use to get direct access to the ticket section? thanks
Detect Netgear switches
Hello, We have netgear and cisco switches. IF I make a manual scan, adding some ip devices, I have seen that the cisco devices are detected with all the details related to the model. The netgear switches instead are identified as unknown. The snmp is required in both switches. Is it possible to increase the number of devices in the archive of the Opmanager? Im' using the 6 version Mulitple Probes. Let me know. THanks

Save data when changing type of monitor
Sometimes we have to change a monitor (e.g. CPU utilization) from CLI to SNMP. After this change all data for this monitor are lost. Is there a way to save the data, change monitor type and the restore the data? Regards, Volker
Standardizing Install Locations.
Why do different AdventNet applications default to different install locations? E.g. some to c:\AdventNet and others to C:\Program Files\AdventNet? It would be nice if this was standardized. David.
security timeout?
now that we have registered the software, everytime i login, look around a bit, then click on Admin tab... i have to re-login. This morning was the worst, everytime i clicked on Asset details (from service desk plus) it would ask me to re-login. very annoying... can i turn this up to say... 10 minute timeout?
Will 7 beta be upgradable when 7 final is out?
Hi, We have purchased a new server for the purpose of installing OpManager 7 and configuring all devices as best as possible with the beta version. I will need to move OpManager on another server in the near future. While attempting to run the BackupDB.bat I receive the following error: Please wait ! Centralizing Apache, MySQL Instances?
Am I incorrect about this or is there a separate Apache instance for each software application you have installed from AdventNet? For example, does OpUtils, ServiceDesk, and OpManager each run their own Apache instance? If so, why? Why not make it so that they centralize together. What about databases, why not better integration? Still separate databases, but one instance of MySQL instead of multiple?
Failed to establish connection with web server - Debian Etch
Hi, after the installation of OpManager 7 on Linux (Debian Etch 4.0) I get the following error while starting the service: Verifying connection with web server ... Failed to establish connection with web server. Gracefully shutting down OpManager. I did a quick check on the logs and I can't see anything at fault because of missing libraries or packages (as it is the case in many other posts about this topic on the forum). So neither the logs/ folder nor the apache/logs folder revealed anything interesting.

Hello everybody, I have big problem adding my switch in Opmanager when i try to add it with ip 172.26.175.250 its gives me message it has been addes succesfully , then i try to find it it says it is not there...i have try the tool remove db and it does not work it does so that i has removed the entry then its the same process i add it again and it does not show up i dont know what is the solution the device is snmp enable and the network which i m using where the switch belongs to it discover rightly

availability report error
Hi all I'm testing opmanager 6016. In some firewall device, the today availability report and the Device response time value are not true: Device Response Time : NA Today packet loss: 14% today availability uptime: 100% In the device snapshot, if i try to configure the monitoring parameter or the device type parameter, opmanager give me an error popup. I already tried to delete and add the device. In attach the snapshot Please, give me a feedback

Probe registration problem
Hi, I am using Opmanager MSP 6003 with license for 25 probes. I have 24 Probes configured and working fine. When I tried to install the 25th probe it would not start. It just gets stuck on "Verifying communication with web server". I checked the wrapper.log and shows "waiting for registration from the central server". I tried running registerprobe.bat and to the following: C:\Program Files\AdventNet\ME\Probe\bin>registerprobe.bat Error in receiving data Connection refused: connect Error in receiving
opmanger will not work on a ping disabled network
so opmanger will not work on a ping disabled network rite? so it will be useless on a secured network with ping disabled, so what is the use of opsmanger in a secured network without ping? u cant monitor any network equipment even though it respond to snmp when will you guys resolve this?

TFTP Vulnerability
Hi all It seems that with Opmanager 6, a TFTP server is installed and running by default. Unfortunately, this TFTP server has several vulnerabilities, most importantly it can be tricked into allowing directory traversals. URL Monitoring showing service down when its up
I'm using build 6016. I noticed that when i attempt to monitor a URL, like 22.22.22.22:12... the monitoring software shows that the service is down, reason: host unreachable. However, when i click on the URL in the software, it brings up the site. It will also bring up the site if i copy and paste the URL into a browser. I've tried increasing the timeout and adjusting the get;put functions... but nothing. The authentication information that i've entered (since the site requires a login) is also correct.

MSSQL 2005 Monitoring
I am running MSP version 6. I am trying to monitor MSSQL 2005, and am not able to do it. As far as I understand, SQL 2005 does not support SNMP, so I am not able to monitor via the SNMP monitor included..and there is no WMI monitor for the MSP version. Does that mean that I can not monitor SQL 2005?
Stacked graph and alerting based on total
I have added a new WMI monitor which captures the processor utilization breakdown (DPC, Interrupt, User, Privileged). Can I use the same monitor to display a stacked graph of the values and alert based off the total value (not the individual values)? Thanks, Colin
OpManager7 - MySQL Performance Tuning - Too Many Processes
I am running OpManager 7 Beta on CentOS Linux with 2 gigs of ram. When I execute top, I am stunned to see how many MySQL processes OpManager spawns. {See Screen Shot Below}. I only manage two servers, so clearly I don't need so many memory hungry MySQL processes running. I have searched with no luck for the mysql configuration file used by OpManager, usually called my.ini or my.cnf. Where in the world is the MySQL configuration file? It needs to be seriously tweaked for performance. Thanks.[/img]
