Hi, I think it would be great if there's a feature, that provides dashboard templates. If you have to create lots of dashboards with the same structure, a pre-built template would be a strong help and would save a lot time. My second idea is the opportunity to select more than one widget of a kind in one creation process. E.g. if you have to create a dashboard with 12 "Custom Text or HTML" widgets, you always have to create one, click "Add" and do this process twelve times. It would be easier to

Hi, We have ran an auto-discover of all of our network devices and deleted what we don't want to monitor but these devices keep coming back into the list of devices. Is there a way to turn off auto-discover after you have completed the initial network scan?

Add Syslog alarms
Aloha, Im a new user to OpManager. Currently I am evaluating different NMS applications. OpManger is one of them. I dont see in OpManager how, if the OpManager get Syslog messages. but I see with tcpdump, that syslog are send. So why is OpManager not showing me, Syslogs? Thanks Marcel

Discovvery with Last fix Octet
Hi I have a problem on auto-discovery. I use the private IP address Class A. the first and second and last octet are fixed. But the third octet is changeable. for example :1.140.x.1 1.140.10.1 1.140.11.1 1.140.12.1 1.140.13.1 1.140.14.1 this means I want to discover just my routers in the network that are specified with the last octet of ((1)) without using CSV file. If anyone can help me how can I discover my devices in above role in OpManager 12.2 Please help me. Roozbeh

Hello, I have installed the free version of Opmanger to test before purchase and it was working for a week but now after I get to the login page and input the login details, I get the error HTTP Status 400 - Invalid direct reference to form login page type Status report message Invalid direct reference to form login page description The request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect. Dashboards in v12 - still...
Dashboards and widgets management were VERY MUCH downgraded in the last version of opmanager. We still can't manage dashboards (order - columns - etc) one year after the realease. Is this going to have a solution or the product will be permanently downgraded from the version we bought? Pedro.
Monitored server logging Security Audit failures associated with OpManager
I have a production SQL server that is logging Security Audit Failures as per below. We have successful audits from the Global Account used for OpManager. The account that is failing is the computer account for the server that OpManager resides on. The computer account is not configured anywhere in OpManager. Is it expected that the server hosting OpManager would need logon permissions while OpManager queries WMI or SNMP? Thanks. 0xc000015b The user has not been granted the requested logon
Cisco Unified CM supported in OpManager?
Hi guys I did like to know if Cisco Unified CM 9.1(x) can be monitored using OpManager (build 12200)??? Are their any MIBs which needs to be added on the system to perform the same? Any add-ons Modules to be added?? Are there any Device Templates for it or any other which would show data?? Or is there any other solution by ManageEngine for this?? Account lock out
Hi, I have an account which is locked out by OpManager. I suspect there is WMI or something else in OpManager. When I stop the OpManager service - lock outs stop. The service is running under the different account. Could you please tell me which log files can provide information about incorrect credentials. OpManager version: 12 Kind regards, Pavel
OpManager 11 API Client not loading plug-ins
When using OpManager 11.6 with the API client, plugins that work with the old ui by using the Jump to link, do not load with the api client and only the download the product plugin page will load. (APM works with either ui). Netflow Analyzer, NCM, Optuils, Eventlog Analyzer, all work when you log into the services individually as well. I would like to get this to work as I would like to eventually upgrade to a newer version.
Probe & Central - Exception while creating database table index.
Hi, Recently I have installed a new OpManager. For Central and Probe I put the information of mi database MS SQL and the user have permissions but the wrapper.log send messages like this: Exception while creating database table index.Unable to create index as specified by CREATE INDEX MD_INDEX1 ON MaintenanceDevices (MD_NAME ,MD_OWNERNAME) cannot find the object "maintenancedevices" because it does not exist or you do not have permissions. Hi, we are evaluating opmanager and i have some questions and comments. I installed the enterprise edition with one probe (12200). I find script monitors to be really inferior to built in ones. The real time graphs seem to always show "percentage" on y-axis, they don't show history data when you log into OpManager, the only data you can collect is integers (or at least i don't seem to be able to collect floats). Greets, I´m having a problem with the integration of OpManager with Service Desk MSP, the error in OpManager is: "Cannot establish connection with SDP. Error message from SDP: Account name cannot be empty" I filled all required fields, including user and password (local authentication with default administrator account). Hi, In OpManager Settings->Add-on/Product Integration I configured SDP server like this: When I clicked save button show a alert every things is okay , also click on Sync now, copy assets to SDP asset manager, but I went to OpManager Settings->Monitoring tab->Notification -> Add ->select Log a Ticket, show me a error "Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus" and redirect to SDP integration page. Hey I need to know whenever my windows server based device is shutdown so i tryed to do this by seting up notification from event log rules "System is shud down" form security. I thnik i have done everting right but when my server went down yesterday i did not get any email notification and this did not occure on event log alarms. Can you tell me would be possible reason for this not working at all ?
OpManager - Alarm Grouping
When an alarm is generated by OpManager we send an email notification with an AlarmId and an impacted Device. However when the alarm is not cleared after x amount of time a 2nd (and 3rd/...) alarm fires with a new AlarmID for the same device. Is there any way to group these alarms together? SMS Alerts configuration
Hi there, I was wondering if I could get help with SMS alerting in Opman. I have managed to configure SMS and test it and we are receiving text messages fine but I'm not sure how to configure it to alert on certain criteria of server faults. For example, I would like a text alert to come through if a particular server is un-pingable after 5 attempts (network issue) but I've had a look around the settings and cannot see where to set this. Set threshold of MSSQL Database File/Log size per database?
Good day, I was wondering if it is possible within OpManager to set the threshold for database file/log sizes individually? We have multiple databases running on some of our servers with varying sizes, and as such, would like the thresholds to be different. Hi all, I am receiving errors on several of my SQL Servers indicating "Excess Total Committed Memory needed is X KB, threshold value for this monitor is 131072 KB". From the research I've done, this is the difference between the Target Server Memory and the Total Server Memory. If I'm understanding correctly, this alarm fires because the difference between the target memory and the actual amount of memory the server has committed using the memory manager is more than 128 megs. SNMP NO NEED FOR PASSWORD
we have procurve 5406zl switches .....there is no password on snmp we have setup. OpManager is requiring a password when we setup Credentials for discover on snmp....so it fails on these switches when discovering the Interfaces. What is the solution?
Multiple Encounter after the upgrade of OpManager to the latest.
1) Having several instances of postgres.exe with High Memory usage. 2) Intermittent freezing / hanging of OP manager after clicking some menus. 3) Some devices fetching monitors for too long. 4) Some devices missing their names after being clicked. 5) Unmanaged / deleted Linux devices still detected by OP Manager despite having SNMP turned off.
WMI not possible because of NAT
Hi Unfortunately we have two remote offices with the same IP range and have to use NAT to access one of them. Unfortunately WMI does not work because of the NAT. Is there some kind of probe or agent we can install in a remote network or servers to monitor them? Without WMI there is a lot (like Windows Services) we can't monitor properly. Servers drop from System
I have two Red Hat 6.X servers that drop from OpManager about every week or two weeks. OpManager sees the servers as up because they are available via ICMP but not via SNMP. If I perform a rediscover there is no change, no SNMP data (memory, disk, process, etc.) is available. The only way to get the systems fully available via OpManager is to delete them and then add them back. I've verified that SNMP is setup properly on the two servers and that there are no differences from other servers that
wan rtt monitor source interface
Hi In my network I use vrf. I would like to configure wan rtt in one particular vrf on my cisco router I configure it using source ip address (and destination) in that vrf Next I add "vrf vrf_name" command on my router I test it using show ip sla statistics and it works fine But OPManager don't monitor it. It is strange thing. When I go to path detail it shows me address of my loopback instead of address of subinterface in vrf that I configured previously. I am using OPManager version 8810
Opmanager cant aware of the service is restarted
Hello, We're monitoring a windows based service named X with opmanager. When this X service fails it restarts itself in 6 seconds just because it's a live service and it's supposed to restart it self very quickly. However sometimes even the service fails opmanager cant alert it fails because it restart too quickly. We really need a solution regarding to this as we cant know if the service is restarted or not within day. Regards.
