OpManager has a log file that is 19 Gig on my machine. It is a single file. How do I purge that down? Can that be automated?

URL authentication and business views
Two questions: 1. How can I validate that a URL has been authenticated in the URL monitor? Can you tell if any events are generated that can be tracked? 2. How can I create a business view with URL monitors? For example, I'd like to attach a URL monitor to a server in the business view so I can see what URLs will be affected by a server outage. Switch Ports Operationally Down
Hi there I have a number of Dell switches that we use in our network and monitor with OpManager without any issues. I have recently added a new switch to the team and it reports all the ports that have nothing in them as operationally down. I have a number of other switches that only report as down when something was there and no is not there any more. Hi All, I have downloaded OpManager in order to get file conflict alerts from the 2003r2 DFS. Unfotunately I cannot see a section for adding rules to the event log for DFS. Is it possible to generate an alarm from the DFS log in some other way?
OpManager fails to...on a cleared alarm
Page/Log a Ticket in SD/Send Emails when a monitor clears. I've noticed this for a long time, but figured it was due to multiple upgrades of Op. However, after a fresh install and a fresh setup the issue is still there. I'm on the latest version of v7 (7025). I've setup monitor in Op to watch our routers and sometimes we will get paged when an alarm is cleared, but not other times. Routers will page sometimes and not others. Custom performance monitor
Is it possible to create a custom performance monitor? I have snmpd on servers checking processes and I want OpManager to poll that particular OID. I see ways to create services by port, but not a way to create monitors by SNMP OID.
WMI Failures
(OpMan 7025 on Win2k3 with mysql db) We're having trouble with WMI - all 2000/2003 machines are in the same domain, but won't accept any credentials we give it! When we test, it always comes up "failed", even with the domain admin, local admin, local user, domain user, etc.. Is there a log somewhere we can see what's happening or why it's failing?

NetFlow analyzer integration with OpManager
We have installed Netflow analyzer 6 & OpManager 7 in our network on two different servers. It seems in Opmanager , we can integrate the NetFlow analyzer statistics ( top applications, top protocols etc.), if we configure the add-on plugin in OpManager. We have configured the add-on plug in, supplied the correct credentials for NetFlow analyzer ( which OpManager successfully accepted). But when we are clicking on the small icon that appears for interface traffic details, it says unable to fetch the

Linux Flavour and Scaling
I have about 6000 servers, each running NETSNMP that I wish to poll, and write poll results to the MYSQL db, no thresholding, just data collection. What is the best flavour of Linux to use ? I prefer SUSE but REdhat is ok too. I want the least missing libraries, install problems, etc. In fact I'd like to know what Linux the product is developed on. Also how many Linux boxes would I need to poll 6000 servers on a 10-15 minute polling interval (cpu, mem , disk, interface). My needs for OpManager are
Failed to add the File Monitor
hi everyone, when i add a file monitor for C:\ i get the message "Failed to add the File Monitor" .. but i cant retrace where the error is coming from ? it looks 2 me like its arbitrary? sometime i can add file monitoring for drive C sometimes just for drive D sometime i cant add a monitor .. and this happens on several servers ? any idea ?
Unable to fetch Managed Object details when adding URLs
Everytime I add a new URL monitor, and confirm the submission after configuration, the screen does not refresh... it just leaves a blank screen. The URL monitor is listed, but when I click on it, I get the message: "Unable to fetch Manage Object details for the object : <url monitor name>" <url monitor name> = any name I've entered when configuring the URL monitor. Reporting Question
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to get graphs included in the Scheduled Reports. If I go manually into one of our routers and select the main outbound interface, I get a nice graph showing the troughput, but in scheduled reports, I just get a Max and average value in a text field. Another issue we have is with the graphing itself. hi everyone, i don't receive email notifications from my probe if there is a eventlog error. but i don't have some idea what can be the reason for this. mailconfiguration is ok and working with other probes ? does the probe send the mail directly 2 the mail server or does the probe send the email-notification 2 the central server and the c.server will forward the message to the mailserver ? thank you
Restrict Interface graphs on a per-user basis?
We are monitoring a Cisco 3550-48 switch for interface utilization on all ports. What I would like to be able to do is create a new user in the system and restrict that user to view only specific switch ports. Right now, I can restrict a user to certain Business Views, which can have Devices assigned to them, but this won't really accomplish what I need since the switch has multiple customers plugged in to it. Is this possible to do? If not, please add this as a feature request. Thanks.
