Problem with server becoming unmanaged
Hi All, Just have a rather odd problem where a server will become unmanaged periodically (probably around 1 or 2 times per week). At the moment we are manually changing the status back to managed. We used to have a scheduled outage period of 30 minutes to reboot the server once per week, this was working as expected. We thought this may be the problem so we removed it and the problem is still occurring. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Chris

Hello, i was running for some time OpManager v6 ( don't know which build exact ) and everything was just fine but i thought to update to v7 and now for every new interface that i added the application is not making any graphs at all and display: "Sorry, no data available for Graph. Try other options. " Older interfaces left from the time when i used v6 are working ok ... with graph and some more information Help ? Regards.
Monitors show only "No data available"
Hi! I'm using OpManager7 (latest release) and have a problem with some monitors from a custom device template. The template and the monitors where created by a imported mib. When I do the request for those monitors over your mib-browser I am reveiving some data as expected but when I assign the device template to the same device (as used in mib-browser) it is only shown "No data available". Also I can't connect with WMI when I assign the custom device template. Only SSH or Telnet is possible. Maybe
Recomended image size reolution?
Hi, When I create a business view and add a backgroud image, the object in the business view gets moved around when I save it. I does not matter wether I use Mapmaker or if I edit the business view directly. I have used the original supplied backgroud images as well as other images with same resolution as the original ones, but the same problem. Is there any quick solution to this? Regards Bj�rn
device is partially removed or added and can not be modified
Hi, I added a switch as new device and created a new device template for this switch. Then this device was gone from my views. When I searched for this device, OPManager told me, it was not present. So I tried to readd the device and got the error in the attached screenshot. I can not remove the device, I can not readd it and I can not modify the device. So any Help??? Juergen

OpManager does not use more then 1 CPU?
Working with a large number of systems. When ever I make a global change in OpManager, I see 100% CPU usage, but only on one of the CPU's. Java is the process using the CPU. I have 16 cores in this system. Is this a configuration problem on my side, or is it a problem with OpManager?

How to assign an existing custom link to a new device
Hi all, I created a simple custom link (http://$ipAddress) which I assigned to several devices when I created it. Now I have a new device, where I want to use this custom link again. However I can not use the same name for my custom link (Browser) because it is already existing And I can not assign an existing custom link to a new device. Or am I missing something? Do I have to delete the custom link, create it new and assign it to all devices again? I do hope this is not the case !! Regards Juergen
Installing Opmanager w/ SQL 2005 as DB
Hi there, I am having trouble with using OpManager and SQL server 2005. I am migrating an existing system to a new machine and in the process wanted to convert the DB to SQL 2005. It all seemed to install ok but when I log in (after restoring old db into new installation) I can't see any of my managed devices. I can search for them but when trying to view the device it gives me the error in the "device error" attachment. I'm not sure if it is related but when going into the DB configuration app I

I'm trying to create a custom WMI monitor for W3SVC performance counters, I've created the attached script which queries the server for CurrentConnections, AnonymousUsersPerSec, ConnectionAttemptsPerSec, CurrentAnonymousUsers, FilesPerSec, MaximumConnections. I have a problem with autoclear traps had the same fields OID enterprise, GT, ST everything, but one field in TRAP PDU - fltfield if fltfield=1 then is's a problem - Critcal, else fltfield=-1 Clear could i get different severity and auto clear them.
Event Log Rules - exclusions
Is there any way to configure exclusion event log rules? We are monitoring the system and application logs for any errors and warning, which is very useful but it also generates alarms for events that can be ignored. Instead of configuring rules to generate alarms for event's I'd like to see, it would be much easier to configure rules to ignore event's we can ignore. Values are not updated any more
Hi, I installed OPManager 7102. I discovered my network, added all necessary monitors. It works fine. Today, I checked my monitors and all values showed N/A I tested my monitors, which worked fine the day before and most test did work fine. So the values were updated. When I checked back an hour later, the values still remeained the same. Even when I set the monitoring intervall to 5 minutes, I only had the one vlaue, I got when I tested the monitor. After testing again, I have two values in my reports.
Business View size limit?
What is the max size of a business view? I am trying to add 41 devices and it tells me some of them are outside the background image. I am not using a background image.

How do I monitor SNMP. It responds on port 161, but UDP, not TCP, so a service monitor does not work. If SNMP dies opmanager does nothing. How do I fix this. -Adam
How do I add a mib to Net-SNMP in linux?
I have run out of google searches to try. I have the dell-poweredge mib. I have placed it into /usr/share/snmp/mibs. Then export MIBS=+ALL Try to get any value in the ".1.3.6.1.4.1.674" range, I get a "Request failed or timed out. No error" from OpManager, or nothing from the snmpget at a command line. Any ideas?
