JAVA 95-100% on Dual Core VM System in OpManager
Hi Support Team We have noticed for sometime that opmanager java is always in 95-100% on a dual core VM system ? Isn't VM supported for Opmanager for installation ? Fixing WMI Errors in OpManager
Hi Team, I recently saw a Script in ServiceDesk Plus, which can free up Firewall ports, DCOM , RPC errors in Systems before the systems can be installed with the agent version in SDP ? Is there any chance to incorporate this script in OPManager and when we discover the devices and use the WMI Credential, this Script can be executed and free up the WMI errors. Because in large environment with 250+ devices, it becomes difficult to go to computer one by one and do the steps you have in knowledge
How i can configure syslog and event logs in opmanager and in clients?
HI, I'm a system admin in an IT software company. Now we using nagios monitoring tool, but it is not enough for our requirement, we need to get syslogs and event logs through a centralized monitoring tool. I downloaded and installed OpManager in a linux box for this purpose and added some systems for monitoring, but it shows only its health like CPU, Memory, HDD, etc. My question is how to do syslogs and event logs through OpManager?
Unable to Add ESX host (Unable to fetch Managed Object details for the object)

Notification Profiles Triggering stops working AGAIN
Hello, Running Opmgr 8721. Came back after a weekend to find ,yet again, that notification profiles were not working. The Opmgr service was running but no one rec'd alerts. Once I restarted the service, a ton of notifications were sent, all late. Is anyone else having this issue? I see no other solution at this point than to reboot the server every day. Please help! IN IBM-AIX MACHINE COULDN'T GET MEMORY UTILIZATION
In IBM-AIX device, I couldn't get the memory utilization using Host-resource.mib. We have use default SNMP of IBM-AIX. That is to say, we don't use Net-SNMP. In default SNMP, we couldn't get them memory utilization. But we could get the CPU & DISK Utilization. How to solve it? Thank you in advance.

I currently have the Dlink MIB (DLINKAPMII2553.mib) loaded into OpManger but I'm having a difficult time getting a simple request, how many and what are the mac addresses of the connected wirless clients. Has anyon been able to accomplish this?
OpManager Loss Monitor
I am OP 6.5 install and run for a while. It work fine with correct SNMP community and cisco 2960 switch. The problem since I monitor 3 days with 5 min snapshot setting for more than 100 devices, the network device monitor data change into N/A instead of correct snapshot data ? I change setting "Admin/SNMP Parameter" into 3 sec time out/5 times retry and won't get snapshot back to work ? Running MiB Browser is work fine ? That's production environment which need to monitor about 150 devices with OP,

Disk Used Space 100%
Dear support , I was install Opmanager for monitor server system , when i update to version 8722 , some server of window 2k3 ( only 2 server / 15 server ) with warning Disk Used Space 100% , but in this server it's not . When i click "Real Time" of disk , it's comeback to normal . It's only on version 8722 , in version 8721 not have this problem . Pls fix this problem . Thanks !
Remote monitoring
We currently use OpManager build 8720 to monitor our main network. I have a smaller subnetwork within the main network that routes traffic to different places than our main network does but I can't adequately monitor that traffic because OpManager is on our main network. Are there OpManager agents I could install in the smaller network or is there another solution?
Why can't I change the Category?
Please see the two attachments. Both servers are virtual servers and are both Domain Controllers. The only way that I can get the Active Directory dashboard to display is to set the category to Domain Controller. I was able to do this for one server, but on the 2nd server and other virtual servers I am unable to change the category. Is there another way to display the Active Directory dashboard?

Hello, Are there equivalent tweaks available in Opmanager 8721? Exchange 2003 information store size incorrectly reported
Build number:8722 I have set up the Exchange dashboard on my Exchange server. I wanted to monitor the exchange database size. I updated to build 8722 which allowed me to add used disk space as a monitor, but it only reports the size of the EDB file, not the combined size of the EDB and STM file which Microsoft uses to determine total Exchange database size. Can you write a patch to make this monitor count both files to give an accurate indication of database size?
CPU/Memory usage as per feature
Do you have some data that if i enable some service in Opmanager how will that effect the CPU/Memory usage. I have idea about the number of interface/ number of device, are there some more which affects performance of the server. Suppose if i change the polling interval/have many notification profile/ monitoring errors/discards etc.

Can disk utilization be displayed as MB free vs % used?
Is there a way to display a server list with drive space available in actual MB rather than a %? Right now the servers Infrastructure View displays only CPU% and MEM Utilization%. I'd like to create a new view that let's me display MB free on C:. That or add some sort of Top 10 to the Dashboard that shows the C: with the least amount of MB free.
Theshold values gone.
I don't see the threshold values any more. All the thresholds values are disappeared. When I look into the detail, all the Threshold alert value and the rearm value are gone.
Thresholds - all lost over night
Hi, Something happened and we have lost all our thresholds for all devices. The thresholds are not present anymore in the templates. This has happened for all templates in the same time - the standard ones (cisco, windows 2003, all). They are all missing - those built in the original templates but also those modified / added by me. Monitoring cluster ESX 4.0
Hello, we have a ESX CLUSTER. When we try to discover one nodes of the cluster, throught the "Add New Host" button of the Virtual Devices Infraestructure view, the application reports an Error, and the device is not discover. I want an option to e-mail the specific alarm from the alarm screen. I would be nice to be able to select "e-mail alarm" and send it directly to the responsible tech or even into my Service Desk, not just automatically.

Hi, I am new user of Op Manager as recently i have configured the 4 Cisco routers and 2 switches on OM without any error and i have enable SNMP on router. but in windows Desktop i am facing some problem its not showing Graph Report CPU Memory and disk Utilization on Dashboard and how can enabled SNMP on windows as i have started the SNMP services on desktop but no result.In Op Manager Credential Setting i am choosing Public and other but problem not resolved. can any one help on this regards, Thanks
WMI Monitoring is very probelamatic
Hi Opmanager Support. We are monitoring a few Windows devices using WMI. Import devices and DB
Hi All, We have 1 Prod Opmamner setup and one more for QA. We have trial license on QA. I have just setup this environment. In order to replicate the same scenario, What all should i import from Prod to QA? Also i dont want all the notification profiles to be imported (otherwise there will 2 email triggers for the same alert) instead a common test profile has to be set up for all the devices. Using Net Send for alerts
I am trying to send alerts via net send using a notification profile. I have set it up as I think it should be, but it will not test the profile correctly. The test never finishes. The attached picture shows the settings I am trying. Does anyone have this working or any ideas? Thanks Tim
Unable to add the Criteria when adding notification profile
No matter what device I try to add a notification profile to, and no matter which criteria I use, I get a "Unable to add the Criteria" This happens across the board. Any ideas on the cause of this? Thanks, Marc
Wrong time in Alerts
Hi, We are getting the incorrect times in alerts sent to us. The time on the server running op manager, plus the time on the server being alerted on is correct. We did notice that the time on the 'real-time interface view' is incorrect. Can somebody please let me know how this can be fixed. Many thanks.

Adding twitter account not working
Hi, We're having problems adding a twitter account to OpManager (Build 8721). We created a twitter account soly for this purpose and tried adding via Admin -> Twitter Account Settings. I enter the twitter userid and password and hit save and OpManager just keeps loading forever (I had it loading for 2 hours yesterday without anything happening - no errors or confirmation that it's saved). I've also made sure OpManager has internet access etc. Any ideas what could be wrong? Regards, Jan
Adding vendor monitors for a Dell server
I have a number of Dell poweredge 1950 servers that I have setup in opmanager using the "windows 2003" device profile. This is working fine however I would like to get some more detailed monitoring such as tempurature, fan /ps failure. Is there an outline or step by step instructions on how to accomplish this? I downloaded a MIB from Dell but i'm not really sure where to go from here. any help would be greatly appreciated. I should add that I have snmp up and running and it passes the credential
Problem with Business view
Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with a business view. When I click it on from within Maps > Business view, I get the error message "No Infra Structure View found with this name." I try to create a new business view with the same name and it lets me save it, but I still get the error message. The business view name in question is "Charlotte". Environment monitor
You can use the OP to monitor temperature and humidity with a monitor via SNMP the Comet System Model: T3510? The same is a mini webserver of Lantronix, but when you start the automatic search it detects only PING does not open window for temperature and humidity. I need to monitor this data to generate a report of weather conditions data center. Hello, I added a new performance monitor in a windows 2008 template. This monitor is a Free Space of Logical Disk (Unit C:). Can opmanager apply a notification profile that only affect to this performance monitor over all windows 2008 devices?.
