Exchange 2003 information store size incorrectly reported

I have set up the Exchange dashboard on my Exchange server. I wanted to monitor the exchange database size. I updated to build 8722 which allowed me to add used disk space as a monitor, but it only reports the size of the EDB file, not the combined size of the EDB and STM file which Microsoft uses to determine total Exchange database size.
Can you write a patch to make this monitor count both files to give an accurate indication of database size?
