Opmanager filter trap snmp bases on agent-addr header in the PDU instead of real sender IP. This is real problem for most snmp agent because agent-addr is the first active interface. after install opmanager version 8.22 i can collect data via cli cerdential for CPU and DISK from the Hp-UX 11.23 and 11.31 but when try to test memory i get all the time zero. please advice

This weekend, we had a SQL server instance with some network problems. I received countless email notifications that the Biztalk Group services on the Biztalk server were down followed by a clear message 1 min later, and then another down notification. The Biztalk services by necessity are configured to reconnect to the SQL server, should there be a disruption, every 1 minute. The notifications were valid, but I'm wondering if there is some means to modify this parituclar windows service, in
opmanager login keeps prompting "Please enter the user name" even though credentials are correct
we are using Opmanager 8 and when logging in with the correct credentials remotely (from a pc) the login page continues to prompt the user to "Please enter the user name", any ideas?

False monitoring values caused a server crash
Hi, I'm monitoring the free disc space in GB on a Windows 2003 Server using WMI (standard monitors). There are two drives which return values with 4GB (C:) and 32GB (D:). The OpManager table says that the disc space of both drives didn't change the last weeks. They always had the same value. Drive C: should have the value of 5GB. The last weekend drive D: went to the size of 0 Bytes. OpManager didn't monitor this and kept on showing the value of 32GB (until today). I've tested this special monitor

What are the specific default ports that should be open for a server for to be monitored by OPManager? Is it possible to also check the availability of a server via SNMP only, meaning we will not be able to ping the server? Thanks

Cannot Make a Bulk Notification
When I go through the Notification Profile and Associate, I can go through Choose Profile -> Define Criteria -> Apply this profile all the time and when I click the "next", it shows "error" http://SERVER/admin/AddCriteria.do?SaveTimeWindow=true What can I do? When I enable the WMI disk queue length monitor in OpManager (build) 8811, what disk is it providing data for? Can I specify which disk it is monitoring?

Performance monitor - single instance
I want to monitor a single instance under an OID. Specifically, OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7 lists the following instances: ifAdminStatus.1 ifAdminStatus.4 ifAdminStatus.5 ifAdminStatus.6 ifAdminStatus.7 ifAdminStatus.8 I know if I query .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.7.5 in the MIB browser, this returns the results I require for that single instance. It is not possible to select this when setting up the monitor in the device template though. You can only select the parent OID. I'm perfectly happy to hack config

We are licensed for OpManager Deluxe, but I only see Standalone and Enterprise versions on the support page. Which version do I need to download (64-bit Windows 2008 Server)?
Enabling SNMP
First time using OpManager. Is their a way of mass enabling snmp on computers that have it disabled? Over 75% of my computers in our network don't even have the snmp service showing under services. I know how to manually enable it in the add/remove features but with over 600 computers this will take me forever to accomplish this.
HP Proliant Servers - Extended monitoring
Wondering if anyone has done any custom or advanced monitoring with HP Proliant servers? I would specifically like to get more detailed monitoring of stuff like RAID status, drive status (from SMART?) etc. We have one particular server that has had issues with some drives. I have had to rely on running the ADU, but would like something to monitor the health of drives and notify us when there is drive errors, filesystem errors, etc..

Monitoring Virtual Exchange
Is there a way to monitor exchange monitors if the server in question is a virtual server? We have a virtual exchange 2010 server. It shows up under the "Virtual Devices" category. I add the exchange monitors but it never gets any data. When I test the credentials, they pass. Any suggestions? Eric
cannot see my new environment for OP manager
i installed OP manager in another linux box and wanted to migrate my environment(all configs) from my old box to my new one. i copied the files /opt/ManageEngine/OpManager/users /opt/ManageEngine/OpManager/conf /opt/ManageEngine/OpManager/mysql/data from the old to new box but when i log into OP Manager hosted in the new box, nothing had been migrated. Kindly assist. am stuck :-(
Complete Newbie - trouble getting started
I’m a complete newbie to OpManager, and even anything related to the us of SNMP, and am having trouble getting started with the setup. I’ve discovered devices, categorised some of them as Servers (Vendor: Hewlet Packard; category: server; Type: HP Prolient Server). I’ve enabled SNMP on the servers. I’m really not sure what the SNMP setting are supposed to be on the servers but on the Security Tab I’ve set up the Community name as ‘Public (which is the SNMP credential I gather opmanager is using)

no custom monitors (temparature) for vmware template
Hi, At the moment it isn't possible to add custom monitors to the vmware hosts when running in the vsphere plugin environment. I would like to see the hardware status shown in virtual center also to be shown in opmanager. Or if that isn't possible, to have the ability to add custom monitors to the vmware hosts. Any comments on this ?

Google Maps settings not saved
Hello, We recently re-installed our OpManager server due to a crash of the old one. We were able to access the flat files and managed to get all data back and everything works great, but when we open the Google Maps Widget, which has several devices in it, it always starts with a view somewhere in the US. Removing notification
I set up a notification for a user on all switches and the user no longer needs to monitor the switches. He is set up with other devices and they need to stay. I can select the group go into notifications and un-check everything and he is no longer notified but his name is still in the notification tab on all of the devices. Is there a way to remove the name from the notification tab?
Hyper-V Monitoring
I see that OpManager supports VMWare monitoring. Now that Microsoft has released Hyper-V (Microsoft's competitor to VMWare), will OpManager be providing direct support as it does for SQL, Exchange, and VMWare monitors?
