Threshold Notification Question

Threshold Notification Question

Good morning!

OpManager is a little new for me as I started a new job and OpManager has been placed in my lap.  I do not know a lot about the system and am learning on the job.  The previous person who was handling this also seems to have made a bit of a mess of things, which I am trying to clean up.

Right now, every server is monitored for CPU, Memory and Partition Sizes.  Depending on the function of the servers, more items are monitored but that is our bare minimum.

Recently, we modified the notification schedule so that from about 6 AM to 8 PM, we get notified about every violation.  However, on the weekends and from 8 PM to 6 AM, we are only notified about hard downs.  This is creating an issue because when I logged into OpManager to see if there were any oustanding alerts, I found that one of my servers triggered the partition size threshold on Sunday, but as a result of our notification schedule, nobody knew.

So my questions to everyone is this:
  1. If I select a speicifc server and modify the hard down notification, I can add a threshold alert for just the partition sizes.  However, when I go to Admin and check the notification profiles and configure something there, the only option I have is any assigned Threshold, which we don't want.  With 150+ servers I would hate to have to go to each one and modify the items individually.  Is there a way that I can make a mass change like this?  Or is there a way I can change the notification profile?
  2. Is there an alternative way of doing this?  Like creating something new in OpManager that would trigger a message?
  3. I also don't have escalation turned on at the moment.  If I turned on escalation would the item of escalated over the weekend and have an email sent out on or before Monday?
My OpManager build number is 8723.

Thank you for your time.
