We stay (OpManager 9)build 9010 and need go to las version, but when we do the update the images are changed int he maps. How can we update the map without changing the existing?

opmanager is generating hundreds of snmp requests per min to a managed server
Hi, Why is opmanager generating so machine snmp calls per minute to a managed server? I have only 5 items in the performance monitor (standard stuff like cpu, memory, etc.) with 1 minute interval. Here is the log from my linux box. The machine xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is where I run the opmanager. db2 is the machine being monitored. Problem on SNMP connetion
Hi all, i have a server that located at branch office office and using WAN link as medium to connect to main office. but the problem is i my OPManager server (located at main office) couldn't find that server using SNMP, i have open port 161 on both server (actually i dont know for sure if the port is opened or not, cause i dont know how to test it ^^), but the problem still exist, is there any idea to solve this problem ??
Probe servers not activacting
Hi Everybody, we are unable to add probe servers to our OpManager infrastructure. We already got two, but we are unable to add any more. Could you please help us undestanding what might be the issue. Thank you

Log the poll's (trial)
Hi all! We are just in the progress to test OpManager. I added some servers and there is a strange behaviour, the poll are not fired! So e.g. we had a server (Win2008R2) and the monitor CPU Utilization had only 2 entries: Date Time CPU1 Percentage Jun-6-12 10:12 31.0 Jun-6-12 9:42 0.0 So why it is not fired (actually we have 16:02)? I i test the monitor then the values are updated.... rgds

Hi! I have clean install of windows server 2008 r2 with opmanager x64. I can add devices separately, but if I try to discover devices - i have error. If i try discover devices from my pc (Windows 7), then i have next: Input ip range and start dicover Import Devices and push button "Import Devices" And error "Discover in progerss" and this is not stop. IPSLA WAN with Cisco Switch 3750-X
Hi Team, I'm running build 9100 and my switch is IOS 12.2(55)SE1. I'm trying to configure the IPSLA WAN feature, but nothing happens. I have already setup a RW community on switch working perfectly because the OpManager detects it, but when I submit the changes, no commands are applied on running config. I'm getting the following on switch logging: May 28 11:52:32.613 CRSJ: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from 7.108.50.13 by snmp, but as I said, no commands are applied. Take a look to the following
Monitor Event Log for missing events?
We have some software that writes to the Application event log when a job is complete. If the job doesn't complete then the event doesn't get written. Is it possible to configure OpManager to alert us if this event doesn't get written by a certain time, or after a specified number of polls? I can only see a way of monitoring for specific events that do exist, not ones that don't exist. I'm using OpManager build 9101. Thanks, Dave

self-restart not working in windows service monitor
Hi all, using OpManager 9101 for monitoring about 100 devices. Set a bunch of windows service monitors on several windows machine, some of those are custom services (application related) OpManager is capable of detecting the status but it just loses the radio button on "Restart this Service" even if "Do the following action, if the service is unavailable" remains flagged Obviously the service is not restarted and thus the problem
CPU Use Graph on non Win/Lin?
We're adding some OpenVMS Integrity servers to OpManager and would like the CPU and Memory graphs to work correctly - it seems though that the graphs only specifically work for Win/Lin/Cisco/3Com, etc. Is there a way/guide to set the graphs to look at a specific OID for these machines? They're correctly identified as type "DECSystem". The Disk Usage graph works correctly, as do all the CPU/Mem/Disk Performance Monitors (they give correct charts). Is this fairly simple to do?

All of my WMI monitors fail with Device Name apps4-server.paulstra.com Monitor Name DiskUtilization Protocol WMI OID Disk Utilization Possible reasons 1. The device might be down. 2. The username and password provided for this device might be wrong. 3. The domain password for this device was not provided 4. The domain password for this device might be wrong ------ However RPC & WMI are running on the server, the username and password is specified with the domain admin account i.e. "paulstra_crc\administrator"

WAN RTT Timers and Cisco ASR 9000
I am trying to figure out how to set up IPSLA WAN RTTs on the Cisco ASR 9000 platform using Opmanager. It seems that Opmanger is not sending the right command to the device after the creation of the SLA. On other IOS devices such as a cisco 7206 I have no issues setting up and publishing the SLA. I have setup a RW community and an access list on the ASR 9000 and I can see counts in the Access list but when I check the history section of All Monitors the error description is "Invalid input sent to

URL Monitor monitors OpManager itself instead of site asked
Hi, One of my probe server, which was istalled as Italian, always had this problem. Basically the URL monitor query OpManager itself and not the URL i'm asking for. This problem went unnoticed until we had a system outage and tried to understand why the monitor stayed green. Pressing the "check now" button it show a page with a redirect to "/Login.do". Build 9010 - Blank Dials for CPU, Memory and Network
Hello, Recently upgraded to 9010, the issue of blank dials continues to happen. Still unable to change a device from Virtual Device to Server. WMI connection works fine to test CPU utilization. History Reports pane shows all "NO DATA COLLECTED". Thanks.

How to use Wavecom M1306B Modem?
Hi support, I've bought a Wavecom M1306B Modem and installed it as a standard 56000 bps Modem on a Windows 2003 Server where Opmanager is installed. With Hyperterminal i can use AT commands to dial out and this is working fine. The modem is installed on COM1. If I go to the SMS server settings in Opmanager and enter the Port Number to COM1 I get a message stating Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings. What am I missing here? Please help. Custom HDD Usage Dial Calculation
I have an active node cluster server, thus I would like to exclude the other SAN disks as it the dial will give wrong value when some disks removed/added (as the total disk space stored in "asset details") This server is running on Windows Server 2003. Monitoring is done via WMI. OpManager used is: License Type : Essential Build Number : 8722 I've checked the OID for the drives that I wanted to monitor which is Drive C & Drive E. Error # The RPC server is unavailable when adding performance monitor
Hi, We get the message Error # The RPC server is unavailable when we try to add a performance monitor on 1 server. It was working before since we have other performance monitors. When we test the credentials it gives the same error. The DCOM and RPC are working on the server, I was able to connect with wbemtest and do some queries. It is not the firts time it has done this on 2 separate installations of OpManager and the only way we found to correct this is to delete the device and add it again.
Planned maintenance window
I have tried to find such feature in the product but there seems to be nothing available. We may need to restart monitored servers at certain planned times and would not like to have all the alarm bells ringing at the same time. Is there something similar in the product that I have missed or is this feature planned for the future?

DB RESTORATION in OpManager

Mster/Central server alarms not cleared
Hi We use enterprise edition, and it seems that my alarms do not get cleared on the central server, even though it is cleared on the probe itself. I have tried restarting the central server and the probes, but no luck. Is there a way that I can clear/delete all "false" alarms on the central server? Regards

Unable to monitor MSSQL
Hi, I added WMI and SNMP monitors under Performance Monitors, I can see data and it works. But when I add a MSSQL monitor (Total size of DB), it failed - no data. I tried restart SNMP services, readd MSSQL monitors, relogin OpManager... still I can't get the MSSQL monitor data. I set the SNMP services as Read-only on both machine. Is there anything I miss out? Using OpManager 8 and Mic SQL Server 2005 on Win Server 2008. Thanks.
Scheduled reports to multiple recipients
Hi, I have installed OP Manager version 9101. I created scheduled reports and when I tried to put more than one e-mail addresses to recipients field (and separated them by comma), I had message "enter valid email ID". When I put just one address, everything went just fine. But how to configure several address to e-mail recipients?
Profiles for notifications
Is there any way to create notification profiles and assign them for servers based on SLA's? Meaning we have servers in 24/7 SLA so only one notification profile is created (for eg. 24/7) and then just assign it to all servers which belong to that. And also same for server which are in 8-17, etc. Now you have to configure that server by server.
opmanager does not display exchange dashboard?
i've installed opmanager build 8723 to check out the product before we purchase - it's supposed to display an exchange-oriented dashboard, but all i get is the normal dashboard. the server is running windows server 2003 and exchange server 2003 standard. i saw a post on here talking about application monitors... but i don't see anything like that in the device view or the admin panel...
