OpManager 7 GA Release Available for Download

No traffic shown on newer Cisco router interfaces
I am running the latest revision of OpManager and am having difficulty getting traffic to show on a Cisco 2800 and 1800 series router. The traffic shows 0s for in/out. The older routers have no trouble displaying traffic. I've deleted and rediscovered the unit again a few times. It's using SNMP v.2. Any ideas why it doesn't seem to work on the newer series of routers?

Windows service monitors down after v7 upgrade
Hi, I wonder if you can help? I have just upgraded opmanager from v6 to v7. The upgrade appeared to work ok, however since then, the majority of my windows service monitors ar showing that the service is down. This is occurring on all monitored devices, and the majority of services are reported as down. So far I have tried the following Restart of server and opmanager services Repaired database Deleting and adding in services Deleting all services from all servers, and adding in again All of the
Multiple alarms triggered for no apparent reason
We have had at least three instances now where OpManager starts calling out multiple devices as unavailable for no apparent reason (including the server OpManager is installed on!). When this has happened we have restarted our OpManager server to resolve it. Unfortunately, this generated 60+ pages to multiple technicians after hours each time. This happened at least twice on version 6 and now has happened again since our upgrade to version 7. Any suggestions where I should start in diagnosing this?
custom reports 8 am 6 pm monday -friday

service monitor rename
In Opmanager 7 GA is there any way to rename a monitor? I added the free desk space monitor for the c: drive and it called it Free Disk Space in GB-C:\ Label: Serial Number e4de4ed9. i would rather it just say Free Disk space on C:
OpManager 7020 - Use of interface instead of node?
Hi there! Where I can change the SNMP Query type from node to interface in the current OpManager version? In the "old" V6 the created custom monitors were listed in the opmanager_graphInfo.xml but in the V7? I create a new Device Template with an new performance monitor and apply it to a specific device from which I want to query SNMP values (temperature sensor). But this performance monitor don't seem to emerge in any config file. In the OpManager V6 it was necessary to do these change in the xml
Restore of the OpManager Database doesn't work
Hello I'm using OpManager 7 (BuildNumber: 7010) and i've got a little problem with the Restore of the Database. It justs stays for a longtime (over 1 hour) at "Please wait ! Restoring in Progress....................." and doesn't finish. OpManager is running on Windows 2003 Standard Edition (on an Virtual Machine based on ESX) The .data File is about 60 MB. 've got about 300 monitored devices in the database. Does anyone know whats going wrong?

Can't clear an empty alarm
I have one server in OM that has a "ghost" or empty alarm that will not go away. I have deleted & re-added the device, updated status, rediscovered, but within 10 minutes the ghost alarm is back again. See attached image for proof. Can someone shed some light on how I can resolve this please? OM 7010 with MSSQL backend.

OpManager 7010 Traceroute tool
I had reported a problem with your built in traceroute tool in version 6, it only shows the few lines of a traceroute which makes it useless and was told it would be fixed. The problem still exists in version 7, just go to actions and then traceroute under a device that has more than 4 hops and you will see the trace only shows 4 lines. When will this be fixed?
Unable to see interaces devices for some swithces
Hi, I have some problem with few of our switches.. using OpManger 7 All our switches are configured the same way and they all are HP. However, when I checked some of the switches I can see the Interfaces without any problem. I have already run the rediscovery and selected all the ports "add" Selected Interfaces will be added to the device. Continue? OpManager 7 does'n find network
OpManager 7 does not find network like 10.15.0.0/16 if i try to discover range from that network and find some devices in network map 10.15.0.0 appears dimmed.
HP switch problems
I have interesting switch problems after updating from v6 => v7 build 7010. We are using only HP switches, and I have tested the below situations only with HP 2848. Please notice that all the problems came after update, everything worked fine in OpManager 6. I could not find the way how to remove CPU Utilization threshold rule generated in OpManager 6, it still was in normal state even if I removed the values. Well, I removed the whole CPU Utilization monitor, but I could not add it back. No errors
Monitoring Switched on Class C from Class B
I have 2 Cisco Catalyst 2950 Managed Switches on the 192.168 local network and My OpManager system is on a 10.0 network. Using the Device Scanner Wizard it was able to find the switched or appear to find them, but now it is saying they are down when they aren't Any suggestions or help to get this working would be great thanks.
Polls/min calculation
Hi all, Just wondering if anybody has setup a matrix with rough estimates on what the poll/min statistics are for common devices. I am mostly interested in Cisco router/switch configs. Also, I'd be interested to hear from people who have working setups and what their poll/min values are. Please include a general overview of your netowork (i.e 24 servers, 3 routers, 4 switches 33 polls/min or something like that). I am using OpManager MSP and only have the Helpdesk addon. Unable to edit Sys Desc. since upgrade to v7
Since the upgrade to v7 i cannot edit the Sys Desc. field any more (it can not be selected, the other fields can be selected and modified) Anyone else has this problem or knows a solution?
Reports change row order when editing
Hi, I have made a custom report in my timespent in the ticket system and I have set an row order for the items I would like to display. If I then edit the report because I would like to change the date filter it then change the Row order back to standard. Is it possible to keep the row order as I like, when I for example go to grouping it has remembered that I would like to group by accounts?
Alert text is too generic
Currently, a lot of the OM 7 alerts are too generic. When I receive an alert email at 2am, it'd be nice to know whether the issue is mission-critical or can wait until the helpdesk staff arrive in the morning, but with the alert text as it is currently, I can't. An example would be the Partition Details of the Device (%) monitor. When a partition reaches our threshold, we receive the alert but it doesn't tell us which partition has tripped the alert. OpManaget v7 dashboard
Is there a way to make the dashboard to behave like the v6? If not, is there a way for the infrastructure views and business views to auto adjust whenever a category/view is added. This way, we need to monitor only the home(dashboard) itself and see problems easier. Thanks
Active Device (server) reported as Unavailable in home page?
I have serveral servers that are working fine and fully available but in the reporting they show as down. I can find no explanation for this. On the device snapshot everything appears ok apart from the availability graph. I have tried rediscovery but with no effect? Please help. Regards Mark

Hi all, I installed OpManage to test it and I checked that is a Windows server has the system drive remapped, OpManage cannot monitor its disk quota. All others parameters work correctly. Do someone experience this problem too? Thanks in advance.
"Functions" in monitored values
Hi, I'm using OpManager 7 and I need to make a "function" monitor with multiple OID, however in the Web Interface I can only select an OID i have in the loaded MIBs. The monitor I need is a % of used memory in an Adtran Switch, I have only 2 mib to find this, wich are Free Heap Memory, and Heap Memory Size. So I need to do something like (HMS-FHM)/HMS * 100. I have all the OID needed to do this but I don't know where I must put the info. I searched where were the OIDs for the custom monitors I created,

OPM7 Monitoring is Sporadic
Hi, Am using OpManager 7 with the latest 7010 version with a MS SQL backend database, and I am unable to maintain continual monitoring of the systems. It is sporadic, but on average every 24 hours 1-2 hours will report as being unmonitored. The OPM7 is running from a virtual server, but there is no capacity issues with the VM side of things, so I am unsure what the problem could be. Any assistance in the matter would be appreciated. F5 BigIP LTM anyone ever succeed using SNMP?
Hi, Spent all day (Saturday!) trying to monitor a LTM. I have OIDs from my other graphing tool that works. E.g. Current connections to a virtual server. I can not browse or add as a custom monitor. System name is readable. So its not something silly! I have read its the F5 implementation of SNMP. But I know of plenty of free tools that can walk the mib and read the OIDs. I can monitor every other device I have. Bigip is the missing link and I buy OPmanager/SQL reports next week. Scraping current
