Issues with Version 8
First off I can't say enough about how well the previous version have worked. Today I upgrade to V 8 and upgraded the Myssql as the instructions state. The upgrades both say they upgraded with no issues however when I try to go into the web the interface I get the following error Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart the server. So I followed those instructions and did the repair (several times actually) and have stopped the services

I have OPmanager 8006 in spanish and cannot display some characters even in the home page of the aplication it shows "Contrase�a" instead of spanish word of password "contraseña".

Unable to use Remote Desktop link
Everything seems to be working fine in the Demo version I have a few clients systems that I am monitoring, everything looks great, BUT, the remote desktop option just gives me "error on page" when I try and use it. I am using IE7, with all default settings, on an XP Pro machine SP2. Also, is there any 3rd party Remote software/install that can be used with OpManager, as it would be handy to be able to click on and remote to share the users screen and not log them out.
Monitor URL on Non-default port
Hi I've had some problems setting up URL monitors in OpManager. I've got to the situation where I'm fairly certain external websites are monitored successfully, and most of our internal sites are monitored correctly also. However a handful of our internal sites are producing errors when I try to monitor them (The URL http://........ is down, Reason : Host Unavailable). Performance Monitor: Per disk utilization

REdisvocer interface is not working on some devices
Hello, I tried to rediscover interface on server device where SNMP and WMI are working fine. When I ran rediscover in interface tab, it showed interface found, when select and click on add button, nothing is showed and message is interface added successfully. I don't know what I need to do to get them showed in snapshot. I'm running OPManager 8 latest hotfix applied Thanks for your help Philippe
Searching French language add-on
Hello During the installation process of OpManager, several languages are proposed (English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish) but not French language. And in fact I would like to use OpManager in French. So does someone know if there is an add-on or patch available to provide French language support to OpManager ? If no, is it plannified to develop such a patch ? If yes, when will it be available ? I'm having a horrible time trying to monitor Solaris 10 clients. The documentation for Solaris doesn't seem to work correctly. It seems to be geared towards Solaris 8/9. I'm also using SSH on the servers.

Issue when I tried to clear an alarm on a device
Hello, I got an issue when I tried to clear an alarm on a device Error message : webclient.fault.alarm.clear.status.failure The diffrence I can see on this alarm is there is a long Event History behind regarding other alarms I clared for the same device. Authenticity not available for all devices
I am running the demo version, maybe that's the reason, but I am not able to set the Authenticity of a number of the devices found in the discovery. This would be extremely helpful when evaulating the product as a rogue device scanner. Anyone know why?

Hi, my ASA 5510 passed credentials test and shows CPU/Mem/Connection Count and Interfaces, but it does not show any traffic. Is there a way to configure this to show in Opmanager?
SMS server Settings
Hi, When experimenting with OpManager I filled the field PORT NUMBER in SMS Server Settings, although there is no modem what-so-ever connected to the server. Now OpManagr reports an alert "OpManager_SMS" about the moden being disconnected. I tried leaving the PORT NUMBER blank, but that is not accepted. How can I get rid of this alert ? Hope someone can help me with this.
Device Templates - Duplicate sysOIDs annoyance
Lets say I have a firewall device -- in my case, a ZyXel ZyWall 5. I want to add a new device template for it. When I query the device for the sysOID via the Device Template area, it says the device sysOID is already in use by a ZyAir B-1000 access point and will NOT allow me to add the ZyWall 5 as a device template, even though it is a completely different device -- it just happens to share the same sysOID. This is a design flaw in OM and should be changed to allow duplicate sysOIDs to be added,

BUG: OM8 performance monitors dont work with mis-classified device
OM8, latest build. I added a custom Device Template for my PowerWare 9315 UPS (the default template for PowerWare UPS did not work). The device template works just fine, and I added the appropriate MIB file. To reproduce the bug: 1. Add a device via Admin -> Add Device 2. The device is added successfully but not classified properly (it puts it in Desktop) 3. Open the device page, change the vendor to "Eaton", Category to "UPS", and Type to "Powerware 9315" (which is the name of the custom device
corrupt data-dictionary
it appears my data-dictionary.xml file is corrupt again. almost all servers are missing, all views are missing, and monitoring is not working at all. unfortunately we found this out the hard way - we had several servers go down this weekend and we were not alerted and noticed opmanager stopped working again. we have had data-dictionary corrupt before and at least 4 times in the past opmanager will just "lose" everything we have worked so hard to configure. i dont know if our situation is unique,

SNMP Monitoring (Disk, Fan etc Failures)
The ability to monitor the status of hardware using snmp by monitoring the status of the device. Normally if the device is ok it's normally set to 2. This was we can monitor individual components of the system instead of using SNMP Traps which is a bit of a pain.
Linux op manager init script
Is there supposed to be an init script for the linux version of opmanager, I can't seem to find any rc's, or init's in the package. I can run it properly from an interactive console, but I'd prefer to not have to leave a console open to run the software.

Hi, I'm trying to setup a custom monitor to get me the partition details for my netapp equipment. I've created the custom monitor using the SNMP OID (.1.3.6.1.4.1.789.1.5.4.1.6) which correctly gets me the values for the Percentage Disk Free for each of the file systems on the server. Disc not appearing
Hi I have 2 W2K servers operating as a cluster, and they are being monitored through their virtual IP. When I try to monitor the disc space, all the discs appear except 1 of them, which happens to be the most critical disc. Any ideas why this is happening?
