BUG: OM8 performance monitors dont work with mis-classified device
OM8, latest build. I added a custom Device Template for my PowerWare 9315 UPS (the default template for PowerWare UPS did not work). The device template works just fine, and I added the appropriate MIB file.
To reproduce the bug:
1. Add a device via Admin -> Add Device
2. The device is added successfully but not classified properly (it puts it in Desktop)
3. Open the device page, change the vendor to "Eaton", Category to "UPS", and Type to "Powerware 9315" (which is the name of the custom device template I created)
4. Change the password to the correct SNMP credential. Test credential passes.
5. After the changes in #3, all of the performance monitors show up, but do NOT work. Specifically, if you click the "Edit" icon, then click Test monitor, it times out every time.
6. To fix, delete all of the performance monitors from the device, then immediately re-add them back to the device. All monitors now poll correctly.
