some problem on creating business view
I create some business views. When I add devices into business view, I notice that not all devices are shown at the left-side 'All Devices' frame. Some devices just don't show up. I cancel and do it again, some other devices don't show up! On the right-side 'Devices in Business View' frame, some devices I added before will not show up either. It seems a bug.

error in loading
hello! im using the opmanager trial version and had just recently installed it in our computer laboratory, but i can't use it because there is some sort of loading error. the program sugggested to check if the port inputted is the correct one. i'm using the default port - 80. there is also an error saying cannot find host. thanx.

Sorting Objects in display
I use Opmanager professional version 5.5 (registered). I use the web interface. As I have more and more objects under management it becomes difficult to find the one I want as they seem to appear in the order added. In the Java Client, there seems to be some ability to sort the display by name, ip or some other characteristic. Is this possible in the web interface? If not, could you make this part of my "Wish List". Thanks

When happens when you log off? URL Monitoring
This may be a novice question but, oh well.... I am using OpManager 5.5 to monitor the uptime of one of my websites. I have this configured on 1 of my webservers. It appears that when I log off the box, the OpManager Server application stops. Are the processes still running behind the scenes, will I receive the email notification if the server hosting the application is logged off? Additionally, is there a way of testing the email notification without crashing the site? Thanks, Andrew
2nd harddisk not detected
OpManager was able to successfully detect and display all the resouces' statistics (CPU, memory, harddisk) correctly. However, when I added a 2nd harddisk, it was not detected and the OpManager web console still show 1 harddisk only. How do I get OpManager to detect the 2nd harddisk? thks.

Lost monitoring of switch ports
I -WAS- using OpManager to gather traffic data for my Dell PowerConnect 5224 switch. I added the device and all was well. I then went into "configure ports" and turned off ports that I did not want to manage. All was fine. I later went into "configure ports" and turned a few ports back on, while still leaving several turned off. Once I did this, the "interfaces" section showed ALL ports, with stats of N/A. Now if I go into "configure ports", the list is EMPTY. I have tried removing and re-adding

Hi! I would like to manage one Switch with 9 slots of 3Com. This device has a management interface. If i only inform to the OpManager the management IP address and the community, I will only be monitoring the slot of management. To solve this problem is enough to add a new device and only modify the community <community>@slot_1.1, <community>@slot_2.1, and thus for ahead, but as I have 9 slots. I cannot add the same device 9 times with different communities. Is there some another form to manage these
Discovery - Broadcast Address Reporting
Example: A range of 10.1.126.0/255.255.254.0 has been set for discovery. This range of 512 addresses is actually operationally masked as 255.255.255.252. When autodiscovery happens, it is reporting all the broadcast addresses as one of the devices within each /30 subnet. How do you keep the discovery process from falsely reporting these broadcast addresses as a device? There are over 3,000 of these /30 subnets, so loading each subnet individually would be an impossible task AND they need to be grouped

It always uses 'public' to discover SNMP node
I'm using OpManager 5.5. I've changed SNMP Community String to other word than public in SNMP Parameters, but OpManager still discovers the network using public. Thus, I have to change password for each node on the network. :evil:
Issues with and Suggestions for OpManager 5.5
I have noticed several issues with OpManager 5.5, some of which have probably already been noted. Here goes: PROBLEMS 1. After configuring SNMP community, it remains at "public" when adding devices 2. I cannot make WMI monitoring work at all. I remove the SNMP monitors and add the WMI monitors with no problems. The monitors say they are running fine, but no graphs are ever created and the cpu/memory/disk section simply says "no data available. If I remove the WMI monitors, re-add the SNMP monitors

Core Builder 9000
Hi ! I have to administrate a Core Builder 9000 switch(actually it is a 4007 switch, but they are fully compatible) with OPManager. When I typed de IP address of my switch, OPManager sucessfully discovered this core switch (as a 9000), but OPManager only found one module with 3 ports (these ports are on the manager module). I still have 7 more slots on this core switch and each slot has a different switching module. What do I have to do to OPManager discover all of these modules ? Is it possible

First of all, i have a problem monitoring SQL Server 2000 : - The SNMP Service is up and running - I can observe the main informations about my server(CPU, memory etc.) - SQLSERVERAGENT is running too But the graphs that i applied to my MS-SQL server aren't working!. No information is collected. Determing baselines/threshold for Compaq Monitors
We have many Compaq servers in our environment, and we have the Compaq (HP) Insight Manager foundation agents installed on nearly every one of our servers. I want to utilize Compaq Proliant Server monitoris in OpManager, but I'm somewhat floundering as where baseline would be for many of the monitors, which would help me in determining the threshold. Can we run it as a service now? There was a thread about this back in october wherein it was indicated that with an upcoming SP to the app we could run it as a service. Is that true now?
Oputils E1002
I try to evaluate the software, but... The only thing that I've got is the E1001/E1002 error. DNS is working, everything is pingable, snmpable and so on. For example, a lookup on IP is working, but gives a 1001. A lookup via the DNS name gives a 1002. But only in optutils. Via the command prompt (dos) it does work. Does someone have great idea. The product looks nice, but functional? I don't know. I posted it here since the support@oputils email was unreachable.
No Reports Data from CPU/Memory or Graph Data
I have OpManager installed and working ok mostly but the reports and Graph Data do not seem to be working. For my server it shows the percentage of CPU and Memory usage on the main monitor but if I click under "Other Graphs" and "CPU Utilization" it is blank. Under Reports for CPU and Memory Utilization the part I really want it says "No Data Available" Is there something special I need to configure on my server besides the SNMP Service ? I don't understand why when I click on "Servers by CPU Utilization"
All Devices Report quirk
I just upgraded to OpManager build 5503 and noticed a quirk in the �All Devices Availability Report�. When the report is run, any device with 100% uptime will be listed by name, but any device with less than 100% uptime will be listed by IP address. This is not a big issue. Just wanted to let you know and see if there is an easy fix.

Guys- I am getting the following message as soon as I try to login as an admin user. "Please check whether the server is running" Here is my configuration: OPManager 5.5 SP3 Windows 2003 Server I am sure that I am using the correct user name, password and port number. net-snmp 5.2.1 problem with host-resources
OpManager can't get CPU and Memory Utilization from net-snmp 5.2.1 on FreeBSD 4.10-RELEASE-p5. With net-snmp 5.0.8 on FreeBSD 4.7-RELEASE it works fine! net-snmp 5.2.1 compiled with host-resources MIB and, for example, SolarWinds CPU Gauge works fine. Help please!!!

Hi all, I installed Opmanger 5.5 (free edition), and i have added 5 servers into my account at the moment. However, I cannot see the CPU utilization, memory utilization and disk utilization after i clicked into a particular server. All I see is one message --> "Data not available". Anyone know what i should do to get the graphs back? I wonder if i need to make some configurations on SNMP or some other globoal configurations?? I have tried the following, but i am not sure if that is the correct way
MIBs batch processing?
Hey there, Is there anyway to load MIBs in MIBbrowser or OpManager itself using batching method like available in other Monitoring tools? The aim is to have either MIBBrowser and opmanager5.5 coming up with MIBs loaded and not having to create Trap processors manually or load mibs each time MIBbrowser starts. I'm currently evaluating the product and that the only, but painful, argument against it.
JavaService.exe causes CPU usage to stay at 100%
I recently installed the demo version of OpManager 5.5 with the intent of buying it. I have configured several of our servers without any problem, until today. Now, when I exit out of the web client, my CPU usage will go to 100% and stay there. JavaService.exe is shown to be the process which is at fault. Any ideas? This computer is brand new and only has OpManager 5.5 installed on it.
