Determing baselines/threshold for Compaq Monitors
We have many Compaq servers in our environment, and we have the Compaq (HP) Insight Manager foundation agents installed on nearly every one of our servers.
I want to utilize Compaq Proliant Server monitoris in OpManager, but I'm somewhat floundering as where baseline would be for many of the monitors, which would help me in determining the threshold. Such as Power Capacity, Input Voltage, Server Temperature* .. where are my baselines? I have to enable a threshold in order to enable the monitor. Wish it was the other way around, I'd like to observe monitoring over-time, so that I could observe "normal", and that would allow me to determine "above normal" .. etc.
Anyone develop a cheat sheet for some of this?
like CPU temperature, I've found it difficult to obtain a baseline on normal CPU temperature even from Intel.
