Opmanager 7 GA - SMTP Test fails
When I try to configure SMTP settings and send a test to my own email account, I am getting the following error. It used to work with the 7 Beta. Error: 501 Command "HELO" requires an argument See from stderr.log below. Please help. customing monitor
Hi, i would like to personalize resource monitor and create new vendor section but in the file opmanager_graphinfo.xml when i put a vendor different from SNMP i get error message in opmanager "resource monitor section". Where must i add MycustomVendor for example to make the vendor section in the file opmanager_graphinfo.xml enabled in the "resource monitor section" ? Thanks for help and sorry for my poor english. Kindly verify the username and password provided , but the user/pass is ok, so I can login via a ssh client. Hi, is there any way to create new groups or subgroups for devices? i have a lot of routers. some I care about more than life itself. others can go down for a week and i don't care. how can i group these different kinds of devices so as to be able to assign different monitoring, altering and SLA profiles to each group of devices?
Monitoring oracle
Hi, I'm monitoring an oracle server with several databases. I want to monitor tablespace allocated, used, etc. for each database. The problem is that it seems to be monitoring all that but just from one database, the one that has the greatest index. Furthermore, when visualizing the data graphically, the titles of each tablespace graphic appear as the index of tablespace, not the its name. Any idea? Regards, Rodrigo.

Hi, we are using Opmanager 6, Netflow 5 and Service desk 6 in our organization, and apart for some small problems, we love them. I have installed version 7 on test server and i am having some problems with this version: - All my 2003 servers are recognized as NT, this does not happen with DC - There is no way that i can add Exchange monitoring on my mail servers, application tab is just not there. DCs are recognized automatically and applied without my intervention, but i am puzzled how to get exchange

unpacking failed
Hi, I tried to install opManager v.7 on my son's computer and got the error message: "unpacking failed". Changing default port for SSH login
Dear OpManager Support Team I do like OpManager7 to login to devices using SSH but I have devices which do not run SSH on port 22 but use anotther port instead. Is it possible to tell OpManager7 to connect on another port instead of 22 ? Thanks. Baek

OID's of varbinds

Mib Browser does not show exact errors.
Hello, MIB browser does not show line number which caused the problem while loading MIB in the MIB database. It just displays the message : Unable to parse MIB file - MIB file name. This is quite time consuming process for user to go through complete MIB (as user has no idea where the exact problem is and check for any errors. SNMP String Value
I request SNMP Values from an Temperature Measure Software. Unfortunately OpManager isn't able to use String Values for his graphs (but get them in the Monitor Test and the MIB Browser?). Is there any possibility to get the correct Values (for example I get the Values with *10 and OpManager calculates with /10 for the graph or something else)? If this is not possible, where can I format the graphs so that the Zero Line isn't Zero Value?
Custom Monitor Issue
Hi I have custom monitor that test mailq size. I have tested the the SNMP with the following command from the server: snmpwalk -Os -c PASS -v 1 HOST .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.8.1.101. That works fine. error and white screen
I am setting up opmanger and i am trying to monitor servers over a VPN. Discovery find the servers, but when I try to change using the device type button I get a whote screen with the word error on it. Tha is it. Any ideas? Lucky
switch port mapper

Op Manager 7 -- not able to set thresholds
If I try to set a threshold on a disk partition, no threshold is set. I can set a threshold on overall disk usage, but not on a particular partition. Since the main use for us is monitoring servers to ensure no out of space errors, monitoring partition thresholds is critical. Additionally, the 6.0 version wizard could set thresholds for system monitors easily. How can I set a threshold for ALL of my servers without visitng each of them? Hello, i'm using OP manager v6 and i'm trying to have the same result with OP manager 7 ... Is it possible to add a "Time Window" parameter for 6am to 6pm in server availability reports? Or, if there was a way to conveniently change the 8am - 8pm option to another range that would work too.
Import list into Config File Manager
Is it possible to import a list of Cisco devices into Config File Manager like you can with Switch port mapper? If not, could you add it in a subsequent release?
Cisco ports not showing up
I am using 7.0 GA version and on one of my cisco 6509's, a group of ports on a couple different modules are not showing up when I view the interfaces. I can rediscover and they will show up, but if I try to add them, it won't. On another 6509 and 4948, ports didn't show up when I added the device, but I was able to rediscover and add the ports afterwards just fine. I have deleted the device then readded it, tried adding one port at a time, stopped the service and restarted, but nothing has worked.

Upgrading 6.0 to 7.0
I installed OpManager 7 and it appears there is no upgrade path for our version 6 configuration information. Did I miss something? If not, why would you release a product that isolates previous users and their investments in configuration? Is there a copy of version 6 that I can download to roll back using? Thanks, Colin
