Unable to create window credentials
Hi, I'm looking at the trial version of Opmanager (build 7025) running on W2K3 and MS SQL. Great product however I have come across an issue, I'm unable to create or edit windows credentials. When I click apply the screen clears and nothing happens except java.exe hogs the processor. I can setup or edit SNMP credentials with no problems. Any ideas ? Regards, John
Entries for the device are partially added but won't remove
I had a server that disappeared and now when I try to add I get the following message "Entries for the device are partially added or removed. Click here to remove and readd the device" However, when I click it does nothing. I just get the same message when I try to readd. I followed the following KB to no avail. http://support.opmanager.com/sd/AddSolution.sd?solID=1808 and 1. Connect to mysql database by going to /opmanager/mysql/bin folder from command prompt and execute the following queries. :\>mysql.exe
30 day report
I'm trying the Openmanager 7 on Linux. IF I choose 30 day reports, it's show me one point of traffic for each day. It's possible to change it, to become more detailed, like, 24 or 48 points for each day ?
can't cpu and memory utilization graph in the device page
Hello support, my problem is like that: I added new template device and add for it new custom monitors and also cpu, memory and disk utilization monitors of net-snmp. I associated the new template to a linux monitored station with net-snmp. all the monitors work fine when I test them, but the cpu and memory graph on the main snapshot page is not showing anything ("No Data Available"), on the other hand disk utilization graph work fine. can you help me resolve this problem?

Report Generation- Custom Reports (NOT Flexible)
In Custom Reports I can only generate report for 1 server only. How can i generate reports of 2 or more server in one view. Let say server1 and server2, You will see their CPU, Memory or Disk Utilization in Graph together, so that comparison will be easier. Will not have to generate report on each server then compare them. Im using OPManager 7 or your upcoming SP will address this. I think this is one of the weakness of OPManager, Report Generation is not flexible.. Hope you'll answer my concern.
CPU, Memory, Disk probes do not work
When I click on "Troubleshoot..." here is the helpful message I get: No Data Available - Possible reasons 1. The Performance monitors may not have been associated to this device. 2. Check if SNMP is enabled on this device. 3. If Yes, the Agent may not have responded to the SNMP request. Check if the Agent is responding using the Mib Browser. 4. Device Info. (Additional)
Can you add on your future updates some additional information on Device Info. on the hardware information. Right now it only shows memory and disk size. Hope you can include processor type, processor speed, vendor etc. so that we can also use for the hardware inventory. Thanks..

Change Device Catagory casuses error
Hello, I added a couple of Cisco Catalyst 3560 switches, they were added as routers. I tried changing them to "switches" at which point I got a an "error" and the devices disappeared !!!. But when I went to add them manually I was informed that they already existed. I take it I need to delete them from the database (SQL2005 running in SQL2000 compatibilty mode) Can someone tell me how to sort this out so that I can re-add switches.
Why are SQL monitors in Windows 2003 monitors
When adding IO pages read monitor to a W2K3 device it turned out to be for SQL. mssqlSrvInfoPageReads 1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.4.1.1.2.1.4 OBJECT. In fact there are lots of SQL monitors. Is this right. I really need Memory\Page Reads/sec for windows as this gives hard page faults.
Snmp confusion
Hello, I have OpManager running in a test environment for the past 2 days. I have some questions that I hope can be answered: 1. Am I supposed to turn off the Microsoft SNMP Trap Service? 2. The servers are running on Dell Equipment. I uploaded all of the MIBs from the dell support site. Not sure what I am supposed to do from there. 3. One of the servers is running Oracle. SQL Table for Performance monitors
Hi Can you tell me which table holds all the data for devices performance monitors? I would like to delete all the Virtual and Physical Partition % monitors for my servers and would be quicker to do this via the DB than going into the settings of every device? Thanks

Dear all, first i want to say Thanks for your great piece of application. the second i want to say that i have in my network some cisco 3400 switches and my problem is that there is no 3400 series device type in my version of OpManager ( version 7 build 7020 ) Can you please give me some advice or tell me if there will be an add-on or something like that ? Customizing Dashboard
Hi! I was wondering if I can customize the Dashboard in Opmanager (ver7). I think the view in OpManager 6 was much better since there you could all of the Business snapshots. In version 7 you have a More button. This is not a good solution since we want to see if a device goes down in which location (business view). Is there any chance this is coming in a sp?

Failed to establish connection with web server/ with red hat
Hi!! At the time to start the server with "./StartOpManagerServer.sh" on red hat 9 I�ve the next problem " Failed to establish connection with web server" .... Unable to clear SQL cache alarms (build 7025)
Well it looks like the patch to 7025 did not fully fix our problems with regards to clearing SQL alarms. We are still having problems with; - When an SQL alarm is acknowledged no problems are encountered - When the same alarm is 'cleared' we get a blank page in IE or Firefox and the only way to get back to OpManager is to login again. Of course the alarm is still present and has not been cleared. - We've noticed that when on certain SQL monitors setting the 'threshold' seems to have no effect. We

Do i need to get SNMP and WMI to work before i can grab any information? i got a few windowsNT server which SNMP is working but the CPU, RAM and disk utilization is not able to work. how should i go trouble shooting if i am unable to get the utilization working??

Downtime Scheduler won't set machines back to managed
Hi, I am currently running a registered build of OpManager 7023. I attempted to create a new downtime schedule last week and accidentally selected an entire business view containing 200+ servers. This downtime schedule set all these boxes to unmanaged the next day. However, I was able to do a quick config and set all of them back to managed after deleting the downtime schedule that caused this. exchange monitor
hello, our AD and MSSQL monitors kick ass but the exchange monitor seems to be falling short. it only pulls a few statistics, and stamps NA on everything else. SNMP and WMI function fine, all other monitors / stats display as desired. please see attached. it seems the exchange monitor is not pulling some information or the server is not supplying it. any assistance is appreciated.

Editing Trap Processor Props doesn't help
Hello! I receive SNMP traps from some monitored firewalls. If the trap comes up it has the status "Attention" but I want that the status is always set to "Clear" for this OID. I edited the properties of this trap but OpManager still shows the status "Attention" when the trap comes up. Am I doing something wrong?? I am using OpManager 7 with the latest Build #7025. I am using opmanager version 7.I installed net-snmp on client machine and opmanager 7 on server machine.But when I called cpu utilisation from mib browser the error " Request failed or timed out. Response PDU received from 192.168.1.3 Error Indication in response: There is no such variable name in this mib. Errindex: 1" .All forums tell use CLI based authentication that will fix the issue,but no luck.Some told install oid for the mib,how can I do this or what is the exact issue and fix.Please advice
Memory Utilization Dials/Custom Monitors
Every 24 hours or so.. (maybe less) My memory utilization dials stop showing data. When I perform a manual test for memory utilization.. I get "timeout" errors. My resolution to fixing this..is simply restarting the opmanager service on the server running the application. The OS that is continuously causing this any of my hosts running "linux". Its like opmanager and my linux hosts..just stop talking to eachother on the memory utilization tests. Any curiosity why this is happening?

Hi, On both my servers & desktops i have my Snmp enabled but when i go on to Event log rules & click Test Credential option in it it says snmp & wmi failed.Moreover for what purpose this MIB Browser & Switch port mapper is used.on certain systems i do get the cpu & memory utilization while i dont receive data for disk usage...And on certain systems even when SNMP is enabled i dont get the data for CPU, Memory & Disk usage...Please advice
