Hello Team, As now we have feature to categorize Installed software in multiple self-defined category, can you please provide these customization in software installation and un-installation alert mechanism as well, so we can decide which alert should I receive on mail. Agent Popup
Is it possible to set the progress bar to actually be representative of the current action. eg if downloading a file show the actual status of the download. At the moment it just keeps cycling through it showing no useful information. Also is it possible to show a custom message to the user from the configuration instead of just the deployment policy? It would be nice to tell the user this configuration contains an update to X and not just the standard message. Thanks Andrew
Desktop Central Setup
Hello All, Sorry for being such a newb, but I was wondering if someone could point me to some instructions on setting up the Desktop Central Client etc? I'm told that I could potentially setup the client install on each of my SMB Business Clientele machines (6 different LANs) and then use the "Web Console" to manage them all, regardless of the fact that they're all different customers and exist on completely different LANs. Anyone feel like doing me a solid and dumbing this down a bit for me? :-)
Installing/Upgrading AVG Business Edition
We are looking at upgrading our AVG Business to a new version. There is a script file and a .BAT file that the server creates with all the settings. I am having a problem running the .BAT in the Software Deployment screen. I am not sure how the .BAT files are run from Desktop Central, but the file calls the install and config file in the same folder as the .BAT. We recently updated Desktop Central to the latest version and have noticed some differences in how the Remote Control tool is working. 1. HTML5 version doesn't seem to put anything on the screen to let users know a technician is connected like previous versions did? 2. DC do not update the primary smtp
Hi If I change the primary smtp address of a user on the MDM still remain the old one. That because the users assigned to the device is not update with AD and you can't manually change the email. If I deploy an exchange profile it will get always the old smtp to update it I need to re-enroll the device. is there a way to keep it update? Thanks regards Stefano
Unable to update server SSL certificate

Windows 10 - November Update Errors
I have a test VM here with the November update for Windows 10 installed (v1511) The VM is flagged as requiring 5 patches, but these all fail with Unknown Error. When using DC to push out Java JRE's, can we please add the "SPONSORS=0" option to both new package installs and the patch scan deployments? User Login History
We have 1600 Windows PCs in a non-AD joined system using DC to manage and patch the Windows PC. If we enable Windows Audit logging, is DC capable of generating a report by user for each PC listing the user name and login activity. IF not, is there a solution that DC would allow us to distribute that could collect that information? Mike
Downloaded Binary that is Not Applicable....?
Hi, Our Desktop Central server download patch 300541 and 300542. The file downloaded (for 300541) was 300541-cdbxp_setup_4.5.1.4003.exe One of our security products flagged this is a malicious binary (based on reputation). I searched to see if any of our endpoints require patch #300541 or #300542. Not only does no endpoint report needing this patch, but the Desktop Central UI doesn't even have any result for these patch IDs (it's as if they do not exist). Deploy Package after Agent Install
Looking at setting up a package that would deploy to a PC after the agent has installed. It would be a "Welcome Package" once agent is installed the package would be deployed to the PC. Is this possible.

Patch Management IP Scope
I haven't been able to find an answer to this in any KB. We have quite a few remote offices and have set up IP Scopes so the agents communicate to the appropriate server. We have end users who travel between offices (global company) when they arrive in another location and receive an IP from that location is the agent smart enough to switch to that remote office server and when they return to their office switch back? I assume as long as the IP Scopes are setup correctly this is how it works but
MDM Exchange profile deployment on Android
Recently I noticed that you fix the issue in deploying an exchange profile on an android device. The issue was a problem with password field that if I left empty in the profile, on the device I received a credential error and I can only delete or retry. Now it works, but only if the device is connected in the same LAN, if I am outside the company I didn't receive the forms to fill the password on the device. Thanks Regards Stefano

HTML5 viewer ultra slow
Hey! Today's patch introduced HTML 5 viewer for remote controlling computers, but it is ultra slow, it needs 5 seconds to do anything. Remote cursor is slowly following my mouse, and when I click on anything, it needs 5 seconds to accept that click. both computers are good, i3, ssd, 4gb ram, and connected by 100 mbps link, so it is not hardware issue. Problem with copied files (exe) - security warning
Hello @all when copying a exe-file like the new PuTTY.exe to our clients via DC, the users (and I) get a security warning like "The publisher could not be verified. Do you want to execute the Software?" I can press execute but I cannot remove the checkbox "Prompt before every startup" without administrative privileges (folder is in C:\Programfiles)! I already have added the DC Server to trusted Sites in Internet Explorer Security settings: "\\servername" Does anyone have a good solution for this

As far as I see the reports only access already "collected" data (information about computers and software)? So asking to collect completely new information the reports cannot help..(?) Scope of Management - Add Computers option does nothing and won't let me add computers.
When I am in Scope of Management and I click on Add Computers the Add Computers page comes up. I click on Select Computers for my domain. The Select Computers dialog box opens and when I navigate to the computer I want to add I check the box. When I click ok at the bottom to add the computer it does nothing. I tried to add the name to the Selected Computers option at the bottom and it does nothing either. Any help would be much appreciated. Ed
Workstations with error "Asset Scanning is locked" on the Computer Audit Summary section on the Inventory Tab
Good Afternoon, I recently fixed about 7 machines that were showing in the Computer Audit Summary Failed section with error Asset Scanning is Locked on the Inventory tab. I used the instructions from the KB article and so far only 1 machine would not work. I did a wipe and reload on the machine which seems to have solved the problem. Remote Control does not work on large displays
I have had problems remoting into computers with large displays. The issue arises if any user has the screen size set to "larger 150%". It also arises if the users resolution is WQHD, 2560 x 1440. That is the only resolution that I have been able to try above 1920 x 1080. As we are deploying more laptops with WQHD, 2560 x 1440 resolution and many users use the larger 150% size in order to see the screen clearly, this is becoming problem for us. Telecommuting staff monitoring and services with DC professional
What is the best way or architectures to support our telecommuting staff? Do we need a distribution server? or can direct connect (https) handle 150 plus users that are remote? I need the same functionality for the remote users that I have with the LAN users. Is the WAN client available with the professional version or will we need to upgrade? web interface not reachable after adding SSL
Hi, After we activate and installe the SSL certificates in the settings of Desktop Central the page will not load on port 8120 (http) or 8122 (https). The service is running at both ports. Even when we change the ports we still have this problem (we also try to login on the server it selves/so no firewall problem) Is there a solution to remote/change the settings off SSL certificates? It's installed on Microsoft 2008 server, iis 7.5 Or an otherway or solution to fix this so we can login to Desktop

I don't wish to have two configuration one per user user based one for computer becouse if something have to stop how it will impact in two configuration. Using tray icon to send help desk emails
I can send help desk tickets with the tray icon when I am logged in the pc. How do I setup this feature for everyone? It fails when anyone else tries to use it when they are logged on. I am sure this is simple but not sure why it only works for me. Thanks, Marc

I am in the process of counting users and devices for a Microsoft contract order. Is there any guidance on how to best use Desktop Central to assist on counting?
