Manage Chrome Extensions
Is there a way in Desktop Central to manage extensions installed in web browsers, specifically Chrome? I would like to be able to at a minimum run an audit of what extensions users have installed and ideally add and remove extensions as needed from Desktop Central. Does this functionality already exist or is it possibly on the road map for the future?
Scheduled Shutdown Task Alerting and Reporting
Have been using the "Schedule Shutdown" tool in DesktopCentral for a long time for monthly server reboots. Have more than 40 tasks now all with varying Days and Times. The biggest issue with this has been the lack of reporting and non-existent alerting. Is there any way to configure alerts to be sent if one of these Scheduled Shutdown Tasks "fails"? Also, is there any way to configure a report that lists all of the Scheduled Shutdown tasks along with their last Run Success/Failure status? Would
WOL is not working if more than one Client is selected
If we want to WOL some Clients, this works only if a single Client is selected. Since a few months, WOL does not wake Clients if more than one Client is selected. Is there someone with the same issue and solution to the problem? Kind regards Rainer
Send mass command prompt commands?
I have a command that i'd like to send out to multiple computers. They are all windows machines and they are all command prompt commands. Is this possible, or do I have to go through each computer individually using the System Manager command prompt tool? Thanks! -Joe
Skip OS Deployment
Hi Is it possible to skip the OS Deployment if there is already an OS installed? Currently another PXE Boot Solution is used to reinstall an Computer if it has the Flag for it and if not it will just skip the deployment as there is no Task for the Computer and boots into the normal OS. As we don't want to touch all Computers BIOS Settings and make the PXE Boot the Option after the Harddisk, something like a "Skip if OS already installed" would help. Also something like a Flag to restage the Computer
System Manager Field Chooser
Having the ability to search for computers in System Manager via the Description field would be a huge benefit. My point, when joining computers to Active Directory we use the Asset ID for the computer name and the Description field to identify the users. This way a computer is joined to Active Directory once during its life-cycle, greatly reducing the time a support technician spends renaming computers. Software Metering in DesktopCentral
Hi I have a question regarding the software metering in DesktopCentral. I saw that there is a possibility to do software metering - but it doesn't work as I expected it to do. The first thing is I have create two different rules to test the metering - the first is for Firefox the second one is for Adobe Acrobat DC Reader - both are not showing any results in the Metering Report. My question is why is there no possibility to measure all software usage frequency without configuring any non working
Chat confirmation
Is there any option to display a popup window when I open a new chat to one of my colleagues via "Tools -> Chat -> specific user"? Like that popup that can be displayed when opening a remote connection to a pc.
OS Deployment
How do i use an existing Ghost image or ISO to create an image file for Desktop Central's OS deployment? I have a ghost image file which is a sysprep'd SOE image that I have created, but its at the point where when i image the file, it starts the sysprep process for Windows. I want to use that file as part of the OS Deployment tool in Desktop Central, but i can't find instructions on how to do that.
File Manager poorly designed
1. Date format does not follow account setting - I use DD/MM/YYYY, but file manager shows MM/DD/YYYY and when you try to sort using date columns, it sorts by month first which is totally useless. The rest of the GUI for Desktop Central seems to adhere to my format 2. Cutting files within same volume uses copy/delete and thus wastes time as well as risking a timeout from the browser - a "move" should be instant on the same volume 3. Don't use the word "cut", use "move" - this isn't a word processor
How do I change automated reports' "Regards, Desktop Central MSP Team" signature?
Under Reports > Schedule Reports, I have a weekly report that sends PDFs to clients and has a short message in the e-mail. However, at the end of the e-mail it says: "Regards, Desktop Central MSP Team." Is there any way I can change this to something else, or delete it entirely?
Scheduled WoL/Shutdown - Dynamic Groups?
I do not have the option to apply scheduled shutdown/WoL jobs to dynamic groups. Only static groups. Is this an issue for me or by design? the impact of this is that we have to manually add computers to the scheduled WoL/Shutdown jobs as they join the network, this is a real pain with hundreds of PC's.
Freezing Windows 10 PC when remoting in
Hello all, I am having an issue that happens to about 30% of the windows 10 PCs in my environment. When trying to remote access them from desktop central, I can work for about 5 seconds and then the user's PC will completely freeze and have to be power cycled. This only happens to Windows 10 PCs and only some of them. Is anyone else experiencing this or able to provide some information on how I can prevent this from happening? Thanks
Remote Registry take to long to open
I have been trying out the new remote registry feature and found it to be hit and miss. Sometimes when I manage a pc and open the registry it will open right away. Other times it will keep loading and eventually time out. Then I will have to try again. This is a nice feature but it does not seem to be working correct is this a known issue or is there some reason it takes long time to connect to the registry?
Feature Request: Announcement
Right now Announcements Filtering are limited to Remote Office, Domain, User Custom Group, Individual Users.. It would be great if you could setup announcement based on AD OU's, Dynamic IP Groups, Dynamic PC Groups or any other filter scenarios that are already in the PATCH Management or any filter that can be created in DC already.. Currently Announcements is great tool but very limited capabilities.. In our current test case we use it to announce to users that patch deployment is happening (example)

Announcement Tool with in Desktop Central
I would like a way to choose groups from AD for sending notifications to. Right now all I have ability to send to is Remote Office, entire Domain, User Custom Group, or single user. We are wanting to use this to announce updates to a Sharepoint Newsletter from IT, and want to take advantage of groups already established in AD and not have to create the Custom group in Desktop Central to maintain as well.
eMail Notifications - Need to have my emails "look" like they are coming from Desktop Central - not from me
Hello, I have configured email alerts in several areas of the Desktop Central - like recently installed software for example. However - I have a real problem with how these alerts "look" (in Outlook 2016 etc) especially the "from" when the emails get sent from Desktop Central to an email address I have set up. I cannot find anywhere in DS to specifically say that administrative email is coming from desktopcentral@myserver.com - or any other "fabricated" address I might use. So when DS spits out

Is there an option in Desktop Central to allow the users to initiate chat with the Admins?

GPresult through manage engine
Is it for Manage Engine to run "gpresult /h result.html" command? I'm having trouble getting this to work. I don't want to do it remotely, I want to schedule it to run on all hosts once a day.
Hardware monitoring
Are there any plans for such a "must have" feature as hardware monitoring inside Desktop Central? It would be really nice being able to monitor SMART, temperatures, HDD,RAM, CPU consumption and get alert when needed.
Cannot find Software Metering tool
Hi I'm unable to locate the Software Metering tool in our installation of Desktop Central. Having read previous posts, it is supposed to be located in Inventory > Actions/Settings, but it is not present. Please see attached screenshot which includes our build number of DC 9. Cant get system management (processes) on remote office PC's
I can click "manage" on PC's in the LAN (relative to the DC-server) and the local PCs will show processes, but when I connect to a remote PC it says unavailable every time. "Your System Manager session has been disconnected because the agent is not reachable" 1/ Am I missing a setting for managing this remote PC? 2/ Where can I see the Ping distance (as measured in ms) for diagnostic purposes I can remote-access the remote PC using the HTML5 viewer... Configure e-mail alerts in inventory
I have previously configured email inventory alerts in desktop central, the email alerts are still coming through, however if I now go into admin>Configure e-mail alerts in inventory the form is blank, I am trying to stop sending the alerts to a couple of email addresses, is there any way to reset these alerts from the back end?

Removing computers from Scheduled Wake On Lan
I added a custom group to a Scheduled Wake On Lan. There are two computers that I just need to remove from the Wake on Lan task but everytime I remove them and save the task they keep coming back.
Domain information in task is truncated
In tools/Remote Shutdown/Modify Task, the PC list turncates some of the Domains and puts "..." at the end. I have imported the data into an Excel Spreadsheet and need the full Domain Name. Is there a way to have the full domain name listed? See example shown below::

Hi, We are using the scheduled shutdown tool to shutdown every computers that are still on at 09:00 pm (scheduled every day at 8:45 with 15 min of grace time). This week-end we had Windows update on the ME DC server and after its reboot the Desktopcentral server service was stopped (until now it is a normal behaviour). The DC service was in a stopped state from 8:00 AM sunday to 8:00 AM this morning (monday). But this time when I started the desktopcentral server service this morning 08:00 AM, the

System Tools Disk clean up question
Hello all, I have a question regarding the system tools wizard for setting up a disk cleanup task for Windows 7 computers. Is it possible to define a disk cleanup task to do a cleanup for the windows update files? We have currently a problem on some computers, where we deploy patches with WSUS. We could solve it with manually running the Microsoft cleanup tool and the option to cleanup the windows update files. Can somebody tell me if there is an according parameter available in the system tools
Chat Tool
When we initiate a chat session the client chat tool does not show the text admin types. I believe it is a text color issue. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Way to report on successful WoL and Shutdown requests in a report
We need to be able to show to auditors that our PC's are shutting down at night. Is there a way in report form to show which PC's shut down successfully due to a shutdown request from DC, vs those that didn't shut down?

HTLM5 Remote Control
We recently updated Desktop Central to the latest version and have noticed some differences in how the Remote Control tool is working. 1. HTML5 version doesn't seem to put anything on the screen to let users know a technician is connected like previous versions did? 2.
