Patch Deployment at Windows Log on Screen
We have within our network a handful of PC's that run Deep Freeze which prevents any configuration changes to a device while in a "frozen" state Therefore in order to apply windows updates we have to set up a maintenance period for these devices within the Deep Freeze software. We've set up Desktop Central to scan, download and deploy any required patches on a schedule within this maintenance window. Once these PC's are powered on, they will just be left at the Windows Log on screen. Will Desktop

GeoIP Block on patch downloads
We rarely, if ever have any issues with patch management or downloads of patches. However, we do GeoIP blocking and we've seen 2 IPs that are source locations for patch downloads outside of the United States. These are: 202.153.32.19 211.79.60.17 A quick whois on them says they belong to Excell-Net out of India. Is there a way to get all patches re-located to the United States or are there some that come from India and there's nothing we can really do about that? I just wanted to check before I have

Security Rollups in Desktop Central - cumulative or not?
Hi, According to Microsoft, Quality Rollups are cumulative, but Security Rollups are not. In Desktop Central, however, when I go to approve older rollups in order to catch up, they are greyed out and a tooltip advises that the update is disabled because it has been superseded. Does this mean that Desktop Central security rollups are cumulative after all? Thanks.

This patch, 22492 (2017-05 Security Monthly Quality Rollup Update includes WannaCrypt Fix(MS17-010) and May Month Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4019264)), keeps trying to install on a large number of my Windos 7 systems. Desktop Central patch filters
Good Morning, Filters seemed to have stopped working in our Desktop Central instance after upgrading. Before, we could filter out patches based on OS and application, but now, those filters don't seem to work. The filters for "release Date" seem to work. If I set up a filter for updates on Server 2012 R2, I will receive updates for all Windows Operating systems. The same happens with applications like .Net updates. Anyone else having this issue? It was working prior. Thank you! :D Thank you

I noticed that when I refresh the page computers that were either scanned then patched that had missing patches or computer that were scanned and have missing patches just show up. As before if I refresh the page I would have to generate an patch summary to show the updated changes in missing patches. Any reason why I do not get this prompt anymore?

Patching Machines that come in and out of our network.
We have a large number of laptop users. They are based in our HQ and branch office which are connected via VPN(we don't use a distro server, all our patched from our main ofc) in both locations they take their laptops home nights, weekends, etc. One of my sys admins did some experimenting and was unable to get remote AND local patching to work correctly at the same time. Why are the systems showing as failed when it either A doesn't need a specific patch that was applied or B already has the specific patch that was applied. Pretty misleading descriptions. The machines should show as succeeded.

Desktop Central patching
Is there a way to see if Desktop Central is actively patching a machine. IE patches in progress. I know you can go in to the device in the desktop central portal and see patch notes to see which patches are missing etc. but I can't seem to find a way to see if it is actively patching the machine. Is there a process on the local machine that desktop central starts when it is downloading/installing patches or something like that I could use to see if it is currently patching the machine?

Updates are shown as needed by DC, but not in WSUS
Hello everybody, we have got an issue with DC. First to say, we use DC to rollout only third party patches with Patch Management, Microsoft updates are deployed by WSUS. Now, in DC, there are several Microsoft updates shown as needed on nearly all our Desktops, which nether WSUS shows as required nor a Update directly from Microsoft let them show up. Could this be a false positive? KB numbers are as following: KB3127958, KB3191855, KB4012864 (this ones for Windows 7 Embedded, we only have W7 Pro
