Please use Desktop Central's Patch management to mitigate the vulnerability.

  • CVE-2017-5753 - Bounds check bypass
  • CVE-2017-5715 - Branch target injection

How to identify the Meltdown & Spectre using Desktop Central scan?

1. Sync the Patch DB & Scan all Systems.

2. To find and deploy m
issing Patches
  • Goto Patch Mgmt tab -> All Patches -> Missing Patches
  • Search keyword "Meltdown " / "Spectre" under Patch Description Field.
  • Select all patches and deploy from here.


3. To get a report on Installed Patches.

Goto Patch Mgmt -> All Patches -> Applicable Patches

  • Search keyword "Meltdown " / "Spectre" under Patch Description Field.
