Adding existing Desktop Central Server to Domain(Active Directory)
Hi, Currently, we have a desktop Central server which is a workgroup computer. Now we have a plan to move the server to Domain(Active Directory) as per our business requirements. Can anybody help me in getting the dependency of the desktop central server on the domain? will there be any impact on the DC server after domain joining? Thank You Rakesh Mohapatra
Deployment Target filtration is not working Properly
Hi Team, I have a custom dynamic group(TestGroup) which contains computers from 10Local/Remote offices. Now I have a requirement to copy some content to computers from 3 remote offices and those computers also belong to the TestGroup. Please let us know how to do it. I have tried the below steps but did not work. 1st: Selected the 3 Remote Offices 2nd. Selected the dynamic group (TestGroup). Ideally, it should work as per logic but it is not working. Any help here is much appreciated. Thank You

Our company needs to temporarily use windows defender. Is there a way to enable defender and then update it through desktop central?
Configuration Deployment Status
It would be fantastic if a feature could be added so that in the configuration summary/execution status window a new state could be added and additional information. As it stands now, when I deploy a configuration there is no middle ground between "ready to execute" and "executed". There is no way for me to know that the DC agent on the target computer has received the configuration instructions and is processing the configuration. It would be great if the configuration summary page would show that
Desktop Central MSP Public FQDN no NAT Local DNS Pointer
Do I have to use a NAT on my firewall for Desktop Central MSP. I have ServiceDesk Plus MSP setup on the same server as my Desktop Central MSP " Just Setup Testing". I have a Public FQDM for both and both are setup on the public DNS. SDP.mydomain.net DTC.mydomain.net. I have setup my local DNS to point SDP & DTC to local server address " 192.#.#.#". From a public computer, I can access SDP using Http://SDP.mydomain.net:8070 and everything works great.. But from the same public computer if I use Http://DTC.mydomain.net:8040

For example a list of computer Computer Domain PC01 company.cologne PC02 company- col PC03 company.cologne ... Is this a problem? Hello, I need to disallow all my district's students from accessing the self service portal. Is there some way I can do this? Possible hide the shortcut from all users in the Active Directory students group? Or only deploy the desktop shortcut to users that are not students? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hide the Desktop Agent for certain machines
Hi There, I know you can hide the agent tray icon for all machines. Is there anyway to hide the agent for only certain machines? We have terminal/Citrix servers where we don't want the users to see the tray icon. If not, are there any plans in the roadmap for development? Kind Regards, James.
Error on WAN agent

Local users on Windows Servers based on the accounts in User Management
Hi, We're managing a lot of workgroup based servers (Windows OS) which don't have a central authentication solution like Active Directory. What I'm trying to find out if Desktop Central is a solution for this. I read the feature pages and noticed that Desktop Central can manage local accounts on each individual server (or as a group of servers). Correct me if I'm wrong, but.. when a user will change his/her password on one of the servers, it will not change on the other servers.. So is it perhaps

Would love to see possible feature to allow DServer to acquire needed patches from internet instead from Master Server. Most of remote offices have fatter pipe to internet than between offices.. Not sure if this is already the case but there is no documentation about it except the bandwidth settings between sites and replication schedule.
Computers being deleted the next day after joining DC
Hi, We are having a problem DC (Build Version:10.0.91) where computers are being deleted once the client has been installed on the machine. So when we build a computer we get this message in our admin mailbox. As you can see from this email the machine was built on the 27/06/2017 at 3:23 and as part of the build process the DC agent gets deployed. The next day we get this message in our admin email account. This is only deleting the computer from DC as the computer object in AD is still there. So

Run a batch file once per computer per user
I have a batch file I want to run for new users that runs some post-setup for an application we use. I want to run it once the first time a user logs in to a computer, and never again for that user on that computer. Can I create a configuration to do that?

Remote office IP Server VS Local Office IP Server
Why Desktop Central can't have different IP's for Remote offices vs Local Office.. We want to users outside of building to be able reach DC Server thru internet (aka WAN) but every time I change IP to external network it updates it on all Remote Offices to same IP.. I don't want all of them to be WAN... we have couple location that only has MPLS access to internet and by doing this it will not let them connect to server.. is there feature or work-around to get this solved?

We are trying to configure automatically the phone extension for our dialer software, getting the extension number from our intranet, and creating a .reg file with the user data and the extension data. We created a collection with the "custom script" for .bat file, and then the "registry" option to import the .reg file, using a local path with a manageengine variable, that looks like this: "\users\$domainusername\uagentsettings.reg" The .bat file works, it creates the file on the c:\users\nameoftheuser\uagentsettings.reg.
Execute .bat before installing software
I have a specific software that does not run from a shared folder. I have to copy it locally, and then execute the installer from the local folder. I am trying with a simple bat as a pre-deployment task, but is failing with the error "Failed! : Incorrect function.". I've read a bit on other posts, and it seems I cannot run a bat on a computer configuration, has to be on a user configuration. Agent settings
I need some help with configuration settings for my Desktop Central agent and hoping someone here can help me out. I have a mixed environment in which we have a central office where users would be local to the DC server, for these users the Local office agent would be best. However, the majority of the staff works as consultants at other company's office buildings. Since we have no control over their environment we have determined that using the remote office agent would work best. 2 questions
Desktop Central and Always On SQL support?
Is Desktop Central available to be utilized with a AlwaysON Configuration for SQL - Basically SQL failover cluster (High Availability) We were able to get it to work however it appears that after a few days it loses its connection and the service just stops. Scan failed due to incorrect meta files....
To all, I am getting: Scan failed due to incorrect meta files. Please contact support with server and agent logs. Where do I find these logs to attach to this issue? Just manually added the agent to a Ubuntu 16.04 and although Desktop Central sees the device it cannot scan it. Thanks, Preston

Is there a way to set IE as the default browser on a Win10 workstation via DC? We use ClickOnce apps -- it works with Edge, but instead of opening and then immediately closing the blank Edge window (as it does in IE), it keeps it open.

Webserver port chnaged?
Hi During the latest update to build 10.0.82 the upgrade went fine, however desktop central will no longer start up. I've noticed that this is due to the web console is now looking at port 10 for http and https which is incorrect. I've checked the websetting.conf and the http and https setting in there are the correct settings so wondering where is it getting the settings to say use port 10?
