Hitting major snag applying latest patch to desktop central.
This will be the first time trying to apply a patch to desktop central with the failover service enabled. If you stop the service on the main server and try to apply the update you will get an error that the failover service needs to be stopped. If you stop the failover service you will get an error saying that the failover service needs to be reachable to apply the update. After finding this out, our primary server will not start anymore. running off the failover now. I tried reaching out to support

"MDM" for laptops and desktops
We use Desktop Central, and Desktop Central MSP, but I recall there being no geolocation or remote wipe capabilities for laptops or desktops. MDM does offer this, but it is only for tablets and phones. So my question is - is there a geolocation and remote wipe feature for laptops or desktops? If not, is there a plan to add such a feature in the future? How do I show all Users under System
How can I get all user profiles that exist on a computer listed somewhere in DC? The list under System only shows local accounts and whoever is currently logged on. I am trying to figure out how to get a list of all profiles on the machine. I though we used to be able to see that under the System tab. Thanks!

SDP update after DC scan
We have Desktop Central and Service Desk Plus integrated with each other. I checked the integrated workflow and it says asset scan post immediately to SDP. I was able to confirm this but one of the problems I noticed was that it doesn't update the OS on the machine. With the integration if something like an OS changes is it suppose to update the OS version showing in SDP? If so, how do I fix it? I worry that if I make other updates to my workstations (i.e. hardware upgrades) that it won't show

Archive a machine
I'd like to see the ability to archive a machines information in desktop central. As an example we have numerous machines that have had DC installed on them at some point but may not be not in use currently, in storage, etc. I'd love the ability to tell DC to archive this machine. I could then uninstall the agent, the machine's data/history would still be searchable in DC by its service tag, but would no longer be listed in patch scans or any other views. Except maybe the SOM View but even there
Scheduled Wallpaper change
I have manage engine service desk and desktop central. I know how to create a policy to change a selected groups wallpaper to a specific jpg. I need to do this on a schedule. (every 4 hours). We're using a jpg as a dashboard and need to put it on a groups desktop as the wallpaper. How can I do this from either of the platforms mentioned above? Is it possible? Manage work from home users
I'm trying to figure out if Dekstop Central is a suitable solution for managing and providing support for users that work from home. What I most want to know is how to get the agent on a users computer if they are not on our network. I see there's options for remote office, but I don't know if this is what I'm looking for, since every user is on a different network, and not in one centralized off-site location. So what's the best way to install the agent on a computer outside of the office network?
Software Metering Summary
We installed an agent on a Windows 7 system on May 5, 2017 10:43 AM. I had setup a software meter against Outlook.exe. Outlook.exe usage on this system is currently 43 days, 01 hours, 33 minutes. I'm not sure how Outlook.exe usage is > 43 days because the agent was installed 31 days ago. Version 10.0.87 How can this phenomenon be explained?

Inventory Scan Failed for DesktopCentral server
Hello everyone, I have a problem with Inventory Scan for my DesktopCentral server (the server itself not the service), it is failing for about 1 month : "Scanning Failed" - no reasons shown. I hoped that last build (10.0.82) would fix the problem but no. No problem to deploy configuration or Patch Scan. Only Inventory Scan fails. No problem with other computers/servers on the network (Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012R2). The DesktopCentral server just cannot scan his inventory itself. So far :

What is the best way to handle Office 365? I need to enter a license with a 175 license, but they need to used for Office 365 no matter what version is installed. When I select application under Manage Licenses, I see 7 different versions. I need this license to encompass all 7 versions.
Computer Assets
I am looking at my Inventory on DC, and I see all of my computers. They are not pulling Owner, Asset Tag, or Location. DC is integrated with SDP. Shouldn't DC pull this information from the corresponding asset in SDP?

Excluded Computers from SOM
I have had several random computers re-added to the SOM after being explicitly excluded, some more than once. Is there any reason or setting I might be overlooking that would ignore the SOM exclude list and re-install the agent on a computer? Thanks Rob
verifying agent is running and checked in.
We are setting up DTC to be deployed on our golden image so that when a new VM is cloned it already has the agent installed on it and once renamed the agent comes on and registers it self. My question is this. Is there a event ID or log created that the engineer building the new build has that confirms the DTC agent has spun up and checked into DTC correctly with out logging into the DTC GUI and checking SOM. We dont want the individuals building these VMs to have access to DTC it self. Make sense?

Custom Report - Admin Users & Groups by Server

Exlude device from Network Scan
hi I have multiple computers that show up on my failed scan list. I would like to be able to exclude them from the future scan. Is it possible to excluded certain devices (by devices Name or the IP Address ) from being scanned ? already saw this Admin->Windows Domain Scan/Network Scan and also from Admin->Scan Settings but cannot find it in my system. Hi Where we can set Agent setting to communicate DC correctly. We use Central DC server for clients within LAN AD and for travelling users. We use DNS records pointed to DC server for internal domain and external. Block exe execution status
I've noticed the execution status under Inventory/Block Executable clears itself out after a certain period of time (leaving us no history of machines that it has successfully applied to). The policies created there also don't appear under the configurations section. Is there another way to pull this data, perhaps by a query report? Thanks, Jeff
Fetching warranty for HP computer
We use a lot of Hp computers and would be nice to see the warranty status. If I try to scan it I get the below. As per HP's policy, we are unable to continue fetching warranty information. While we explore alternate options, you can manually import the warranty details of HP Computers. Just wondering if this will ever be supported for hp computers?

DC Agents Down

Scope of Management - AD Sync Settings
Within the SoM Policy I have configured the AD Sync settings to synchronize specific OUs within our domain. I recently modified this and remove a particular OU that contains disabled computer accounts. However, when doing its daily sync, these disabled computers still appear in Desktop Central's list of computers. I tried performing the Sync All option but the disabled computers are still present.
