I have an image with DC9 installed. I am barely learning about this program and its scope. When ever I try to pull a report on all the machines and run a System Scan. A few machines do not populate. I have all except 10. Any thoughts?
prohibit software that not exist in the network
hello how can I block the software that not exists in my network?I Want to prohibit some applications and also I want specific users not to install them. how can I block them? For example,in some situations I install that app in some of my computers but it is not recognized by the desktop central that have new application!! so I can not create prohibited list to block it. what should I do?

hello I create policy to block executable applications for all my computers in my network but I need to exempt 2 of them from this policy. create groups is bothering because in some situation u need to change your policy from all users to 2 users. what shou I do?because I need to create mixed policies to specific users.

Desktop Central <-> Service Desk Pro Integration question on Asset
Ok, so If I have an existing asset in SDP and then add it to Desktop Central, what is the common workstation field that binds Desktop Central to update it in SDP? For example, I added a new asset into SDP with ONLY the same hostname as it already appears in Desktop Central but doing a scan now on it doesnt update it. As a test I added a new system to Desktop Central, which then created the asset in SDP. It stays updated. I've removed all the info on that asset and it still stays updated from Desktop
Required software?
Is it possible to set an application as "required" for a certain group of computers like you can set software as "prohibited" and then get alerts if that software is not present on a computer? For example a specific browser or an antivirus client that needs to be on a certain group or groups of computers?
Bar Code Scan for Assets
Hi When my colleague purchased Desktop Central last year, he was informed that bar code scanning of assets would be an imminent feature following a patch update. To date, we have not found this to be the case. Can you please advise? See below screenshot for version currently in use. Thanks. P.S. I'm aware that bar code scanning is a feature of ServiceDesk Plus but we are not using or considering implementing this software at present.

Issue upgrading agent to new build (90143)
I have already logged this with support and it's in progress, but I want to get this out here in case anyone else gets a similar issue. Due to a fix in a new build I needed, I was given build 90143 to install. This was an upgrade from 90132 and upgraded fine, as it always does. However, there seemed to be an issue automatically upgrading the agent as one hour after the new build was online only 74 PCs/Servers had updated the agent to the latest build. Adding a computer
I have a computer that I cannot ad to DC. The error states "The specified network name is no longer available" I thought it might be an issue with the computer, so I completely reinstalled Windows, but I still cannot get this to install the agent. It shows up in my list of computers in AD, so I don't know what's going on Darren.
Associated Computers
What is Associated Computers in License management? You move computer there when license had been removed? What if you moved computer to Associated Computers section and need to move it back to Associate License Computer list? Are there reverse option? Please advise.

If anyone can help : The Network installation shows 1 but in Associate License > Installed Computers- shows 2 computers. WHY? AND Q: Why there are an option to push to the Associated Computers ?? What difference it make? Thank you.

Is there a way when you do an asset scan to pull license numbers for software from pcs on the network, so when it shows as a network installation it also knows what key it was registered with?
CSV upload
The issue that I am having is I am trying to upload a CSV file with the licence information ect, so I can manage our licences easier. The issue I'm facing is that I'm downloading the CSV file from the software licence report and when I attempt to upload the same csv file in the manage licence section, it tells me that it is not in the correct format to upload it. I am unsure why this is the case when I am downloading the CSV file from desktop central and when I don't edit the file and try to upload
Inventory Reports/Software product keys
Whilst performing an inventory report for software product keys I have found that several items in the list appear only to be displaying the first few characters of the product key but on the rest of them (the same product) it is displaying the full product key, I would like to know why this is occuring and how I can go about resoloving this issue Thank you.
Is There a Wildcard Function for IP Range in Custom Groups
Good Afternoon, I'm looking to create a custom group that spans the same devices in multiple sites. For example, 172.16.51.100-200, 172.16.60.100-200, 172.16.67.100-200, etc. There are around 30 sites (denoted by the 3rd octet) that I would like this group to span, is there any way to wildcard the search field like this: 172.16.*.100-200? Dell Warranty scan
I noticed with the latest update 92099 the Dell warranty scan was fixed. Upon checking a handful of computers, pressing the Scan Now button for expiry date does change the values that were previously in there. Is there a way to do this for all computers? I would have thought the inventory scan would take care of this but it doesn't appear so.
Inventory File Scan
I want to try the new Inventory file scan. But before I do I had a few concerns. How long would this take as in per pc compared to standard inventory scan? Does this use any more resources than a the standard inventory scan? Is there any way to test this on either one or a small group of pc first instead of scheduling this task to run.

Hey, Our company wants to roll out an minimal level of security for desktops, laptops and other devices. One part is the default setting to encrypt harddisks. Can i verify within Desktopcentral that the machines have encryption enabled? Right now i can not find it. Hope to hear from somebody.
The version of Chrome reported by the software scans does not match the version installed
We have a few computers where the version of Chrome browser being reported does not match the actual version installed. However if we see what patches have been installed, the report shows that Chrome has been patched to the actual version installed. Is this a normal behavior? Thanks.

I downgraded a laptop from Windows 10 pro to Windows 7 Pro. Desktop Central does not show the change. Rescanned the system several times but always ends in failure. Any ideas how to get this fixed?
Alert when PC down
Hey folks, I have searched in the UI and on the forums, but i cannot find a definitive answer to the question: Can I configure Desktop Central to inform me when 1. A PC with the agent on it is shutting down? 2. the server with the DC software installed is shutting down? I would ideally love to see notification on my phone through an Android app, but I didn't see a Desktop Central specific app; an SMS would be my second choice. Maybe this doesn't exists? How to move all the managed computers to a new desktopcentral server
Hello, we recently decided to set up a clean desktopcentral server since the old one was running on a server 2008 essensials. We decided to not go for a "clone" but a clean setup - but the next problem is to find out what the best way to deploy the new agents will be, or could we use the allready installed agents and deploy a script on the old desktopcentral server, or do we have to manualy install all the agents?
