Distribution server, using a NAS
We have a remote site that doesn't have a good WAN connection. Instead of setting up a computer to be at the remote site, is it possible just to use a NAS as a storage for files.

KB4041691 issues
Is anyone else have issues with W10 in VMware? Had 2 of our test machines fail to boot and 3 more pending a reboot for KB 4041691. Intel 7th Gen CPU's
MS have blocked updates (normal Win updates) for these latest CPU based machines running Win7. Having just got my hands on one (HP EliteDesk 800 G3) I threw a patch config at it and get the error Unknown Error. Windows 10 Delta Update + Service Pack Blue Screen
A partnering company alerted us to the fact that they had bluescreened all their Windows 10 machines. They have WSUS and an additional update management application deploying to their machines. They said this month they deployed the delta + the windows update and blue screened their machines. Adding Workgroup Computers
I did a recent Desktop Central installation on a network with only three computers. When I added the first computer,The computers in the workgroup were listed and I was able to deploy the agent. Now, I go to add another computer like i did before (SoM->Computers->Add Computer->Select Computers) and i get an error "service not started". ManageEngine is started, and i even followed the instructions to set up the administrator to run the service. Any idea on what service it is referring to?

Is anyone using ME DC to patch their Windows servers?
And if so, has anyone ever seen the WSUS client and ME DC agree on the exact missing patches? I am using it only for Server Patch scanning at this point, and I have never seen agreement between the 2 solutions.

No Patches listed, but states number of missing/installed/applicable
Hi there I'm new to ManageEngine and currently trialing the application, before committing. I've added PC's to the scope, enabled patch scanning and set the Automate Patch Deployment. However, when I go to 'All Patches', it indicates the number of missing patches, installed patches and applicable patched, but the are below, where all the patches are listed is completely blank (see attached). I have a feeling I've missed something out. Any ideas? Thanks

I am trying to see what version of Windows 10 is running on workstations but not finding a good way to see what that version is. Does DC have a spot that lists the OS version or is there a specific report that needs to be run? Can this be added to the scan agent and reported in the dashboard?

How do you change the default "Install As" option in Configuration?
Currently in Configuration under "Configure Install/Uninstall options", "Specify the User Account as which the software should be installed." it defaults to "Target User". Is there an option to change it so it defaults to "System User" (this is the option we will use most often)?
Desktop Central MSP Distribution Server clarification
Hi, does the distribution server channel all traffic between a client and the Desktop Central server? I need to know that auditing, remote control, configuration changes etc all go through the distribution server. I want to have a DS in the DMZ communicating to the DC MSP server on the LAN. If clients have to talk directly to the DC MSP server for anything then it causes me some issues. Any help will be appreciated.

Scheduled report on patch configurations deployed
We have a few technicians who deploy patch configurations to our server environment which i have created as a separate remote office for security / roles. A few technicians move some configurations to trash due to failed install or retry etc before i can oversee what went wrong. I check the Audit Log Viewer and check Trash for these configurations. New Install on Server
I did my evalution of the trial product on my local computer. Now when licensed and on the Server, I do not see the 25 computers that have the manageEngine agent from the Trial version. Do I need to go in onto each computer and remove the trial agent and let the Server install take it from there? Is there a way to remove or change the agent using DC on those 25 computers ? I'm thinking there is, I just need a nudge!!
