Desktopcentral as Cloud computers manager
Hello,
We're using DesktopCentral for some years know to manage our customers domains computers and we love it!
Now we have a project to manage our out-of-domain customers computers and we didn't find a solution that can match DesktopCentral abilities (patch management, software deployment, remote control) in any cloud product we looked at.
So the goal is to build a DesktopCentral server in our datacenter that can manage these out-of-domain computers (like laptops, small customers) through WAN / standard internet access.
It would be a dedicated off-domain server with a dedicated internet access, protected by a NGFW.
My questions are :
- Any experience with this kind of deployment?
- Any best practice? (we will probably allow communication to the server only from our country and communicate thought SSL only)
- Is it still mandatory to disable UAC to be able to manage Workgroup computers?
- Is there any restriction with this kind of deployment vs usual Domain deployment?
Thanks!
Sylvain
