Can�t delete monitored windows service!
Hi! I monitor a Windows 2003 Server and i tried 4 a test to monitor a service on this server. Everythings looks good after the test, but now i whant to delete this monitored service. But he do not really execute my doing, i click on the service i whant delete, click on delete, an popup ask me "Do you what to delete selected Service(s)?", i click on ok and it looks good(deleted). But after i refresh the page(F5) the service i deleted is monitored again! Whats going wrong? Thx 4 some hints, kind regards,

My developers are asking me if applications manager has an open API? Why I love applications manager and have been selling the company on it since I implimented over a year ago, they state it doesn't meet all our needs in the area's of reporting . The hope is that with an open API they will be able to enhance some area's of the application to meet our needs rather then outsource our monitoring to managed datacenter. sql reporting
If I could get just one thing in the next relase I would ask that the attributes that are collected in application manager for sql server all have historical reporting. . . While the data being collected is good I only get a limited nunber that can be reported on. We host over 20 sql servers that are prone to performance issue's. The company needs this data to help trend our db over time. We feel limted not being able to trend using appman and have several sql dba's that have been using other tools

MySQL server configuration
Hello together. I hope you can understand me because i am german and my english is very bad. i am not sure but I think the Applications Manager Storage data in the MySQL server there they start. I have another MySQL Server in my network an would use these other server for the Applications Manager. application manager start-up errros
after a clean install of application manager 7.0.1 with no monitors added yet i recieve a couple of erros in the logs . . . . The errors are below: I would like to know what these errors effect and if the can be cleared? Blank page in monitoring
Hello, We are testing Applications manager 7 but we have some problems with the monitoring. With two AIX servers, when we want the monitoring page (url:http://mshspo:9090/showresource.do?resourceid=10000158&method=showResourceForResourceID&viewType=showIconsView) we have nothing (a blank page). Bug in Buld Config, updating username and password
There seems to be a bug in the latest version of App Manager. When I update my Windows monitors to select all of them and "Update Username/Password" which a domainname\account, the system parses it incorrectly, removing the slash and making the name invalid. Example changing the username to ECHO\Administrator ends up changing every Windows monitor to authenticate as ECHOAdministrator. I had to manually go and fix every Windows monitor! rgranard

Hi, I'm using the ManageEngine Application Manager 7. 1) As the monitoring tool is polling information from the server every pre-set interval, where will the data collected be stored? 2) Also, as the storage for the data collected will grow everyday, may I know is there a house keeping function that allows us to house keep/delete the older data? so that we will not hit into disk space problem? HI, Is there a feature in the present release or proposed to have in future releases to have automated/scheduled reports to be generated for the application manager platform too.. I know it exists on the OpManage platform, but cannot find the same on App Manager.

Hello , I am interested in running my monitoring via snmp for these sever types due to the impact of ssh and telnet connections on the audit logging . My question is are there plans to encorperate this the same as solaris or will it always be a custom snmp monitor which is unacceptable to my company. many thanks

Web Transaction Monitor
Hi there I am evaluating Applications Manager 6 with a fair amount of success thus far setting up several different types of Monitors However I am having difficulties with understanding the "Help Card" for the "Add Monitor Type" of "Web Transaction Monitor"; Step 2. I think have successfully finished Step 1.; copied the jar file to my local directory. I am stuck on Step 2. I am using Websphere Application Server 5.0. I have found the startServer.bat. but can't find out how to add the transaction

the disk utilization is showing "null" for a hpux host, all other counters are showing correctly.
QEngine Scripts
When trying to add a QEngine script, I get the error message "Description file type.prop does not exist in"... with the path to the .tst file. The instuctions for integrating AppManager with QEngine appear to be out of date (they reference a file called "CommandLineWebPerfTest.bat" which does not appear to exist in the newer version of QEngine). Can you provide any updated help on using a QEngine script file with Application Manager? Thanks!
Free dition: Websphere Monitoring shows only 2 monitors
Hello, I have installed this great monitoring program, for monitoring of our Websphere application server. I've applied the application "PerfServletApp.ear" ans it is running. I'm getting a connection from the Web client, but there only 2 monitors runnning: - Transaction Details for Last One Hour - Server Response Time for Last One Hour What about the others? E.g.: JVM, JDBC connections, servlet count and so on. What should I do to see also the other monitors? Thanks in advance.
Adding new monitoring
hi, I having problem regards adding the new monitoring to application manager, since I been configure correctly SNMP to the server which is now running window 2000 and 2003. Some of the server I doing the same way of SNMP configuration, it can be add successfuly, but some not. Can I have your suggestion on how to solve this kind of problem. Thanks

Tomcat data retrieval
"Error while collecting data from Tomcat Server" this is the message i am getting on the Tomcat monitors. There are 3 tomcats on a SuSE linux box. The monitor box is polling through a firewall and the port is open for it. Data can be viewed when you click on the "historical Button" on the screen but nothing shows on the main monitor screen. john.
Bad Report Generated, Please Fix or Advise
When I create a "Downtime History" PDF for a "HTTP URL" monitor, the PDF is not valid and in fact, if I just try to view the PDF the PDF isn't even produced. Can you try to replicate this issue and tell me how to fix it? Thanks. A Cline
Not working solaris disks smeassures
The monitoring for soaris 9 disk measures is not working (partitions, i/o statistics). Please check the attachment. I want to mention I'm using ssh v2 monitoring for these servers. Hi Every now and then our Bea weblogic monitors show as resouce critical and not available. the way I get around this is to go to edit monitor and then re-enter the password. I would like to resolve this issue as it is reporting the servers as down. Kind regards

We created a HTTP-URL sequence monitor with 23 individual URLs. When viewing that particular monitor, the box which should display the graph for Response Time of Individual URLs only shows the legend for URLs #3 - #23 but no graph. Is there a way to fix this? MS SQL Server Details
I'm an AppManager newbie. I have a sql server monitor and would like to learn more about the details, more than what is in the AppManager documentiation. Is there information about what good threshold values should be? Or is there someone who can shoot me post, email about this? I want to set some Alerts, specifically for the "Lock Details", to send me email and SMS based on a valid threshold. It would be great to pin point the locking sql as well. I have a clustered environment with application servers on seperate boxes. Weblogic Monitoring for 8.1 was working fine until I upgraded to App Manager 7. Support previously provided me a fix to get the monitoring working. Can I get that fix again? Thanks.

Upgrade to 7001 broke my weblogic monitors in the following ways: 1. I am unable to add weblogic 9.1 Managed servers to be monitored. I get the following error: "HTTP Status 500 - Dispatch[/adminAction] to method configureHostDiscovery returned an exception" 2. App manager is wrongly reporting that servers are down while they are actually up. I need to downgrade to the older version ASAP or have this problem fixed soon. Thanks mayura

Since I have unlimited monitors, I've started out by adding every IP and selecting "All Services" so I get every service monitored on every host. How do I edit or delete a Monitor Group? I don't even see where I can access a group to see what monitors are in it. I started to create a new group and then saw that it wanted me to create a new monitor with it which is not what I want. I have hundreds of monitors and now I want to assign them all to a single group and to specific sub-groups - without being asked/prompted to create a new monitor (they exist)!
