Group Uptime Reporting
Hello: Is there a way to change the availability reports for monitoring groups so that if 1 server in the group is down for 10 minutes that the group will get an appropriate weighted downtime? Instead of the following: 1 server out of 20 down for 10 minutes out of 30 minutes gives group a 33% downtime Something like this: 1 server out of 20 down for 10 minutes out of 30 minutes: 590 minutes (600 minutes total up - 10 minutes total down/600 total minutes (20 servers * 30 minutes) = 98.33% uptime for
DST and Java Version
I've installed the service-packs and upgraded to 7200, successful. I also decided to upgrade my Java following the instruction by Support. All went well until I ran the "dstupdater.bat". Hi Appmanager support team Yesterday, I downloaded it and installed Appmanger on my PC(WindowsXP-Pro) to test its features. Canada DST Changes impact in Applications Manager
Due to the recent DST ( Daylight Savings Time ) changes in canada, for Java 1.5 version - JREs older than update 9 has to be updated. The latest version of Applications Manager uses JRE 1.5 update 6. Incorrect Time
Application Manager 7 is displaying incorrect time, it is 8 hours ahead (lower right of page). The date and time of the server that it's running on is correct. I have a few monitors that are in the Downtime Scheduler. It's reporting alerts in the early AM hours. It should not be monitoring these servers at the specified downtime, any ideas? srnuch

IIS SNMP Values
I have installed the free version of Applications Manager, and have successfully setup a Windows 2000 Server monitor, with SNMP to gather CPU, Memory, processes, etc. However, I have also setup a monitor for the IIS service on the same box, and when I view the monitor I see the message: "The Website Statistics is available when you monitor the host where IIS Server is running in WMI mode. Click here to change the mode." When I click on the "Click Here" it asks me for the SNMP information of the W2000
AppManager - IIS Performance Statistics
I have installed AppManager (build 7200, Free Edition) on a Centos4.4 Linux box, and am monitoring a Windows 2000 Server, and an IIS Service. I am able to get SNMP information about the server (CPU, memory, disk space, services, etc), however, when I try to get extended statistical information about the IIS Service, it tells me I need to configure the server with WMI, after entering the SNMP info again, and going back to the IIS Service Monitor, I still do not see the IIS statistics. Am I missing

Hi, Can anyone tell me why the graphs have changed in appearance in this upgrade? Not sure why the blobs have appeared. Preferred the old style graphing! Is there any configuration to allow this to be changed?

The reporting of my memory level on one of my Linux servers is being reported as wrong. How do I reset the memory reporting for this device.
Monitor Limit
Hi, I am trying out Applications Manager, and I am impressed so far. It took so little time to install and get a monitor up and running. But I am having a problem with the 5 Monitor limit whilst evaluating the free license. I have set up 3 Monitors to monitor applications running on 2 different servers .... but Applications Manager tells me that I now have 5 monitors already! "Your license supports only 5 monitors. You are trying to add more number of monitors than the allowed number of monitors."

URL Sequence Monitoring
I can successfully create a url sequence using the Recorder program. I enter the credentials that are required to authenticate to the web site domain\user and password. Hi, I'm evaluating Applications Manager, I add the First Weblogic Server without troubles, but when i add the second, gives me "Data collection is in progress". Both servers have the same configuration, in the same OS (Solaris) The version of WL is 8.1. The third server i want to add is the same WL version but in Windows 2003 SP1, and the error is the same. URL monitor fails w/error code 200 even when set to ignore
I have a URL monitor that the server Applications Manager resides on can hit fine. When the AppMan URL monitor tries, it comes back with an error 200 code. I set the "Error if Response Code is" setting to > 200, and it still fails with a 200. It's an externally accessible website that we host - http://www.creditcardsolutions.com

Cache hit ratio Oracle database
Hi, I'm monitoring Oracle 9.x and enabled performance polling. I do get all the information in the monitor, but when generating a Cache hit ratio report, the appmanager claims to have no data available at all. The Buffer hit ratio report works fine. What coulde be wrong? Thanks, Robin

Hi, I�m trying to set up alerts for a file system on an AIX monitor. When viewing an AIX server�s monitor / Disk Utilization : I click on the �Threshold� for a particular file system, root for example, to set up a threshold and alert. Then when using the �Apply to selected monitors� tick box I see the �Available Monitors� list to choose from. My question is; is there a way to filter or sort the very long list presented? Java Runtime monitor not working
Good day, We are trying to get the Java Runtime monitor working, with no success. We are running App Manager v7.2.0.0 on RH Linux. We've added the jmx options to the JVM startup scripts as instructed. We've tried to monitor some JVM on JDK 1.5.0_04 and 1.5.0_07 without success. Those JVM runs on Solaris Sparc. The monitor is created, but then there is no data on the graphs. The "View Thread Dump" button is working. The "Last polled at" only says "-". Is anyone got this working? Thanks for your help!
Application monitoring problems
For each IP, adventnet defines a linux monitor. We have multiple application servers on one linux server. So why is adventnet adding for each intance (ip) a seperate monitor for the server ? Autodiscovery also doesn't work for server wich have multiple ip's bound to it. Last post no one did a reply. My company has a corporate license that just expired. We had lots of problems with adventnet. Since last release most of them solved, except this issue. Support is terrible as I've posted to the forum

Multiple IP's bound to a server
Hi, I'm evaluating AdventNet. Auto-discovery of server with a single ip bound/single instance of jboss if going correctly, but servers with multiple ip's and instances of jboss aren't discovered. We use a seperate IP for each JBoss application running on a server. The bind option in JBoss does the trick. The only problem is that adventnet is seeing every application ip as a seperate server. Unable to Add New Process for Solaris Server with sysedge
I have several servers with agent sysedge of concord, I configured the sysedge agent to permit the Aplication manager poll this servers via snmp. I create a new monitor of these servers and the monitor was created succesfull, I saw the Load Average, partitions and memory but when I want to Add new process to monitor the Aplication manager doesn�t show me any process of the solaris server. HP-UX only shows the file systems of vg00 volume group
We noticed that HP-UX server disk monitor only shows the file systems in vg00 volume group, although we have already have other file systems ın different volume groups. We have clustered (Cold failover) HP-UX systems and we have several volume groups like vgbsp1 , vgbsp2 on our systems The file systems in those volume groups other than vg00 could not been shown. Could you tell us , the way of the HP-UX disk monitor to collect data (such as from \etc\fstab file, or unix command "df -k" etc.) Best

load average and jobs in a minute - please help
System Load Specifies the number of jobs handled by the system in 1/ 5/ 15 minutes with its peak and current value, and current status. can someone please tell me exactly what this means as the defnition is very unclear. does this relate to jobs processed byt the cpu in a minute ,jobs waiting to process , entire queue length or something else .. I need history of connection time to MySQL Server - how to do it? Sometimes connestion time is about 300 ms but sometimes it is about 20 s Is it possible at all? The best output format for me is .csv file.
JMX [MX4J / JDK1.5] - MemoryUsage
the jvm provides several MemoryMXBeans that provide information about memory usage in form of a MemoryUsage object. the MemoryUsage objects have some properties of type long. i can add the properties as "custom attributes", but they don't seem to be recognized as "numeric", so i can see no chart and i can't enable them for reports. is there a way to get that working?
