Unable to connect to remote Jboss 4.0.5 Server
Hi, I'm trying to connect to a remote jboss server and it refuses to connect. I've tried connecting to a an exact copy running as a local instance and it works fine. I think it is connected with some form of IP/Hostname translation going on. URL Sequence monitoring does not support capturing javascript text
Our website application utilizes javascript extensively to return back messages from the backoffice application. THese Javascripts are displayed on the screen, however Appmanager does not recognize these texts, and cannot alert if the standard text response changes. THis would be a great feature to have.

Hello all, The company I currently work for uses AppManager to monitor a few services on a windows server. My assignment is to build a KPI dashboard in Business Objects. Can AppManager be installed and run on a Windows 2008 R2 64BIT server?
Hi, Apologies for the duplicate post but I forgot to mention the 64BIT in my last post which was made as a guest and I cannot find. We are currently looking into doing a clean build of AppManager so that we can use MSSQL for the back end. Are you able to tell me if AppManager can run on Windows Server 2008 R2 64BIT as it is not clear on the system requirements whether it will? Thanks, James.

"The action message to thierry has failed.MailSettings not configured" But when I use the smtpTest.bat troubleshooting tools we have this answer. Login & password: Why login and password are not stored after a monitor is created? Security thing? Recorded URL Sequence Not Showing Up
I'm evaluating AppManager. I used Recorder to record a sequence for an internal website. It appeared to record fine. When I saved it, it generated no errors, but the new monitor did not show up in the web interface. I've tried it both from the PC that AppManager is running on and from another PC. Is there a log somewhere that I can look at to determine why the monitor is not being created? Thanks.

Problems with monitoring servers
Hi Support Team! I have a question about it. I have 2 solaris servers monitoring them in 2 applications manager. Both applications manager are on linux. Today, the 2 solaris servers was down, and one of applications manager reported the down and the other no. Both applications manager are on the same network and the same VLAN. I'm unable to schedule reports correctly. They are created without problem manually but when I try to schedule them automatically they finish with an error message : "Exception occurs while connection.Please check the address you have specified." Hi Currently you can raise an availability alert if a threshold if breached for a number of consecutive tests. However this is applied at quite a high level. for some thresholds such as CPU usage it would be very useful to be able to set the threshold upon the rolling average value or the 95% level rather than the current snapshot; this will enable short term spikes to be excluded. Need to manage hosts that can't be pinged
It seems that you can't even edit a host unless that host can be pinged. Our firewall does not allow incoming ICMP packets, and when pinging our web servers, the load balancers are the ones responding to pings anyway. How do I manage a host that cannot be pinged? Robin Daugherty

Detailed reports for a monitor
Hi there, I often run reports for attributes like memory usage, CPU usage for the Java Runtime monitor. When I view the monitor details page, there are nice detailed graphs of these attributes, which show the activity in detail during the course of an hour. But when I click the link to view a report, the graph is very different - it only shows averages and the graph looks nothing like the graph on the details page. Monitor AIX/Linux Systems via non-root user
Hello, what is neccessary to monitor an AIX/Linux System with a non root user? Is this possible? I already tried that, but on AIX eg. the memory usage values are missing: "No Data Available. eventlog monitor
When monitoring the eventlog with appmanager an occured event will stay on the alarm page until the next monitor poll. When setting the polling time to 1 minute it will mean that the alarm will only stay on the alarm page for one minute. This can lead to unseen alarms. Is it possible to change this behaviour and let the events on the alarm page until they are acknowlegded? TIA
