NTLM Authentication Failed
Hi, Appliaction Manager 6.1 was able to perform NTLM authentication under HTTP URL sequence monitoring with Service Pack 5.5. After I patched Service Pack 5.6, NTLM authenticatio failed with this error message "Exception while trying to acces the url java.io.IOException". I rolled back to previous stage, by re-installed Application Manager6.1, patched Service Pack 5.5 but NTLM also failed. I have also uploaded cryptix-jce-provider.jar. Please can you advice? Thank you.

Hi All, I have Installed Application Manger in RHL-9 and Configure Monitor Mail Server. In Reports tab i have tryed to check health details of all monitors. im getting below error. Im sending support file. ErrorDispatcherValve[localhost]: Exception Processing ErrorPage[exceptionType=java.lang.Throwable, location=/jsp/ErrorPage.jsp] java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError where im wrong, pls hlp me to fix this error. Missing monitors after updating to 6.6
Hello, Following your recommendations, I've just upgraded to latest AppManager version 6.6 and suddenly, all our Tru64 monitors are gone! Supposedly this SP fixed the correct handling with the Tru64, right? Please advice me asap since I've lost our most important monitors ! Thanks Josep Rom�n

Chinese version online demo And font size is too small
Netflow and Opstor have provided chinese online-demo.It's very fine. I suggest AppManager can provide chinese online demo too. Chinese online demo is important for Chinese customer. And AppManager's font size is too small for Chinese Version. In Chinse version,When font size less than 12.It will be illegible,not clear. Customer complain this problem.

Hi I've recently setup ManageEngine� Applications Manager 6.6 and attempted to make it accesibly externally not just internally, did this via a reverse proxy, so https://manager.company.com is changed to http://manager.company.com (internally) and loads the site. However when u access it externally the links etc are trying to acess http:// which is blocked.. is their a way to make ManageEngine� Applications Manager 6.6 https compatible?

Linux & SMP: Wrong CPU utilization and load (n. of jobs)
Hi, the reported values for "CPU Utilization" and "System Load" are wrong (maybe because it's multiprocessor machines?) ... For example on one machine the CPU utilization is always reported as 19%, the "Jobs in 15 Minutes" is always reported as "20". BTW, the max possible number of jobs ("100") is not high enough. What can I do to get proper readings? OS is Debian Sarge (both Appmanager machine and monitored machine(s)). Regards Ingmar

Hi, Is it possible to create DB users on the DB you wish to monitor that only have read access to the required tables? Your documentation always suggests using a System administrator or owner; however, I'd rather have a separate user that can only access the performance data your application requires. Is this possible? Do you have a list of the tables for each DB that are required? I'm really only interested in MS SQL and DB2 (AIX). Thanks, Chris.

Hi there, I've created yesterday several server monitors and they were the whole day correctly reporting their data (cpu, disk occupation, etc...). This morning they appear up in the appmanager (6050 rel) but no data is being shown regarding their resources. In fact, all have the "Last Polled" field in their properties as empty. and the "Next poll" field shows exactly it will happen in 5 minutes... Event Log Monitoring
Hi, I've noticed on machines with large event logs (ie > 100mb) that applications manager seems to take excessive amounts of time to poll those machines (ie > 1 hour). Does it process all events everytime? I can't think why else it would be so non-performant. Additionally, I noticed that the date on alerted events is incorrect. For example I have an event from today which is 03/05/2006 (Australian format, ie 3rd of May). However, applications manager says the event is from 05/03/2006 (ie 5th of March).

WebSphere 5/6 configuration
The prerequisites for monitoring WebSphere include moving Jars from the WAS/lib to AppMgr/was/lib directory. Some of the jars required exist under WAS 5.1.n.m but not 6.0.n.m. Below I posted the check sum and block count between the two. If I need to monitor both versions of WAS (this check sum for all files was run on the same Linux server) 1) Is this possible? 2) How would I configure AppMgr to do this considering the differences between the different jars? We are having intermittent issues with alerts and polling. For example a server went down, which was running tomcat, db2 and snmp. The first monitor to alert was a http-url sequence. Then about 30 minutes later snmp alerted, then 60 minutes later tomcat alerted, then another hour db2 alerted and then in another hour the server alerted. Trial Period - Can't Configure 5 servers
We're currently evaluating App Manager and have a trial installation, which we had hoped to configure with 5 Tomcat servers for a period of time to measure stability and performance. Unfortunately each time a Tomcat server is added the underlying Windows server is also added. Removing the Windows server also removes the Tomcat monitor. After the third Tomcat server has been added (total of 6 monitors) App Manager will not allow another server to be added - persumably because there are 6 monitors
Fire walled setup.
Am tring to configure a weblogic app server behind a firewall. I can easily change the listen port of the apache to so thing that is open like port 80 what else has to be done in order to get it to work? weblogic log. Alert issues
I have added monitors for our Exchange servers with POP3 disabled in the Monitor and POP3 service is disabled on the server itself. But I am receiving the following: Resource down. The resource bemail.xxxxxx.org_Exchange-server_25 is not available. The following Exchange services are not running. 1. The MS Exchange POP3 is not running. If monitor has pop3 disabled and pop3 disabled on the server why would thee AppM report it resource is down? Is it a BuG or am I missing something?

I was able to sucessfully deploy transaction monitoring on my linux based Tomcat 5.0 server and can see the time each jsp page is taking. Are there any additional data you can gather for each JSP, i.e like parameters passed in the Request or detailed variable assignments when JSP page gets compiled, (global/Session variables) etc....
