Monitoring JVM Heap size on WebLogic

I'm starting to use Applications Manager to monitor WebLogic 8.1 app server.
I found it really impressive, thoug I've looking into the documentation on how to monitor JVM heap utilization without success.
Could you please guide me on where such How To is located?
I also want to know how many files and sockets are open within WebLogic.
