Database Query Monitor Oracle database
Hello I am trying to add a database query monitor that will check the status of the triggers of the database and sends a critical alert when any of them is disabled. The query I am running is select status from dba_triggers where OWNER not like '%SYS%' and STATUS='DISABLED' I have set "status" as a primary key, though I do not know how I can set an alarm when status is disabled. Could you kindly let me know how I could possibly define such a metric? Thank you. St.
No data is available For CPU Utilization through Monitors>Windows>ServerName>Overview
The Datas seems to be collected because when I pass through Monitors>Windows>ServerName>CPU> CPU Utilization by CPU Cores the today's and history data are shown Could you please let me know how to solve this issue ? Thanks for your help. Best regards. Daangel
Monitor Polled but no alarm shown

Admin server not synchronized
Hi, i have an admin server and ten managed server all version 11 build 11900. I noted that the admin server don't represent the real situation of managed. In some cases i have created new groups or sub groups in managed server an the admin don't show them. In the managed i have alert retourned green an in admin they are still red. Recent 10 Alarms not showing any alarms
Hello, I am not sure if this due to a misconfiguration or if it's just my understanding for how the widget works, but my "Recent 10 Alarms" widget doesn't show any anything. It's just an empty box with "No Alarms Generated". We've been receiving alerts so there should be alerts to show. Any ideas? Thanks! Craig
AS400 monitor setting jobs alarm
Hi, i created an AS400 monito and i am unable to set alarm for jobs,queues sybsystems ecc. After poll i see the health and availability green so i suppose the polling is successful but in jobs tab i have situationas you can see on attached image. All is greyed and links "config. alarm", "add job", "enable/disbale job" too are greyed. Same things for other tabs: subsys, queue etc. The user i am using is *secofr class. any advice is welcome. How alarm acknowledge works
Hi, i need to understand how acnowledgement of alerts works. If i have a critical alert that i know and its solution will require a long time (for example i need to acquire new hardware), is possible to stop sending email alert with acknowledge or pick-up the alarm? What differences between Acnowledge and pick up? Whats happen the next poll if the alarm remains critical? Is there another way to stop sending email alert if acknowledge/pick-up is the wrong way? Script monitor passing tag value as argument
I have a script monitor, that calls a local script. I would like to pass the $HOSTIP to the script so the script can reach out to the host in question and check status. I have been unsuccessful in passing the $HOSTIP. I wish to pass the $HOSTIP as I would like to reuse this script for all servers that host the specific service (currently a monitor group). Is this function available?
Monitorgroup does not show in notifications
Hi all, I've migrated my alerts, monitors, and actions etc. from a proof of concept environment to our new TQA environment. For some reason, my email actions do not show the name of the monitorgroup in the subject of the email. This is how I have my subject written: $MONITORGROUP Alarm from the Applications Manager -- $MONITORNAME $SEVERITY In the old environment it works fine but in the new environment it doesn't work and comes out like this: $MONITORGROUP Alarm from the Applications Manager
Strange issues monitoring ESXi and VM
Once every few months ESXi servers will disappear from the ESXi monitoring list , VM's will appears duplicated with not parent ESXi , duplicated ESXi server can appears too. Already have an open case ( 3 months and counting ) but want it to check if anyone else saw something like this and found a workaround or a final fix. My only solution I found at this point is to delete all the esxi server / vm from Application Manager and re create everything again. This is extremely disrupting and time consuming. Running a
App Manager 11 Cannot start Stops in Starting Database
Hi Support, I have AppManager 11 installed in Windows 2003 Std. It is working fine until suddenly it stops. When I was about to start it from running the startApplicationsManager.bat, a window pops out showing Starting Database then after few seconds it suddenly stops. Inconsistentcy in EventLog monitoring
Hello, There appears to be inconsistency with Eventlog monitoring in Applications Manager build 11610. When setting up Eventlog rules some work without the event id being specified, whereas others work fine with just the event source. Has anyone encountered this problem? While this exists we are unable to build a standard method of monitoring the event log. Regards, Steve

Each monitor has tens of alarm thresholds on different attributes of monitor. MS SQL Job - Number of failures
Hello, We are monitoring some SQL jobs that are required on our DB. Due to the nature and requirements of these jobs if they fail once or twice its not a big deal. Typically if it fails 3 times we know there is a REAL issue. It there a way to track number of failures and only alert after the count is greater than 3? Please let me know as we are getting very many errors being emailed that we really dont care about. Thanks, Steve

Database Query Monitor Alarm
I'm currently testing AppManager, more precisely the Database Query Monitor, and having a strange issue, I don't know if it's a bug or not. I configure a simple query monitor (MyMonitor) for a registry count, enabling "show query output", and then configuring an email alarm with a threshold of 100 (If the threshold is < 100, then a mail should be sent). Hi Looking into stderr.txt log file, I see a lot errors a'la: [17 Sep 2014 10:51:56:212] SYS_ERR: java.sql.SQLException: Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK__AM_NETWO__619AF25645E94432'. RBM is awful
I am giving a try to RBM, but it's really awful. The EUM agent execute other tests without any issue, but executing a RBM test is almost impossible. You should really found a better way to let it work.

Modify the playback spped of RBM scripts
I am currently evaluating the RBM product, and I have created 4 different RBM scripts. I am able to run them successfully on an agent machine, however the time it takes for the transaction to move from 1 URL to another (within one RBM script) is quite slow, and it takes roughly 3-5 minutes to complete 1 RBM script. Is there a way to speed up the playback, such that the script check completes sooner?
False positive
I have seen several false reports of systems being down but end up being online and fine. I have even watched an alarm trip and checked the alleged server seconds after the alarm to find it up and fine. Has anyone else seen this? It doesn't happen to all of my system any help would be great. Thank you
Appmanager 11610 - no event log alarms?
..or to be clear, the alarms are working fine - but I can't seem to find when to set them anymore... It could be me, but when I click "configure alarms" on a Windows monitor, in the list of "Configure Alarms for Attributes", I can't see any event logs anymore. Synching Time?
Hi, On manager server, one of managed servers synchronizing takes too long time, more than five minutes, in both less monitor added this managed server only 40 monitors. other two managed servers have more monitors and synchronizing in few seconds, managed servers Load factor is 0.0, managed servers on same network, SQL DBs on same server, managed servers cpu&memory usage levels normal, thanks..
Clear Old Records on DB?
Hi, when I add a new monitor, if the IP or hostname was recorded before but not in use, appmanaged is confused, in host name section old monitor name seems, is there easy way to clear all old monitor records in database, or delete old monitor records in tables manually, (dbo.AM_ManagedObject, dbo.IpAddress, .dbo.ManagedObject)
