Imposible to run script files(*.bat , *.cmd)
Hi Support, I´m Saúl Fernández for IREO in Spain. I´ve tested that it´s imposible to run a *.bat or *.cmd file with AppManager. In the image attached appear the configuration. Any idea?
Blank Screen after Edit "Log A Ticket" Action
We used Application Manager 9003 and Service Desk 7513 in our lab and we can integrate them as a solution: When a threshold breached, AppManager will do "Log A Ticket" action and log a ticket to Service Desk. For around 1 week, everything is normal but We edit "Log A Ticket" action which we create at the begining, AppManager 9 allow us to edit under "Send an email" action (check the screenshot) We edit category, subject and we press Update Ticket, AppManager 9 show us a Blank screen like BlankScreen.jpg
Can not set a negative interger value for threshhold value field
I'm using both AppManager 8 & 9 free edition. I want to check http deface for my web site by configuring alert for "% change in Page size". When the web site's content changes, this "%value change in Page size" can be <0 or >0. But I can only set a positive interger value for it 's threshhold. How can I set a negative value threshhold?
Minimum Permission requirements for running the service and also for install/updates in App Manager
We want to know the minimum Permissions required to do the follwoing: Install updates to App Manager To run the services ffor app manager We don't want to use the domain admin account - we want to create 2 accounts - one for the installas & upgrades - the other for the service to run on. Stopping health email notifications...
Does anyone know how the group monitor health email notification can be disabled, while allowing individual monitor notifications to continue to email? In other words, we are currently receiving one notification that the group health is bad, and a second notification related to the specific host monitor that is in alert mode. We want to eliminate the group monitor notification. We have looked through the documentation, and could find no clear explanation on this. Thanks, Brian

Why can't I select business hours in Availability report
We added 3 types of Business hours in the Application Manager Server settings. When I select the availbility from a monitor for the last 7 days (or other time frame) I can see the Availability Report for that monitor. When I select for example the response time for that same monitor I get the response time report for that report. But in that report I've the option to select the Business Hours. A lot of exception occur while using MSSQL
I'm using MS SQLServer 2005 (SP3, English) as my db. Problem is I can't see any status while monitoring my Active Directory (Domain Controller), all status and monitor give me "NA", but it can monitor its health, of course, health is OK. I try to find where the problem is, while seeing stderr.txt under logs folder, it shows A LOT OF exceptions such as Nms.store.NmsStorageException: Invalid object name 'AM_Script_Numeric_Data_10000011' java.sql.SQLException: Invalid object name 'AM_CAM_COLUMNAR_DATA_10000011'

I have tested your AppManager for a while, it seems run well. But I found it sometimes can't collect monitors of Active Directory, I try to search the cause of this problem. Unable to see all processes on Windows 2003 Server
Hi, On some servers I'm unable to monitor some processes (With a windows Monitor) Only a few processes are visible when selecting "Click to add process" in the monitor. Windows process CPU utilisation
I have a monitor for Windows Server 2003 where the Mode of Monitoring is WMI. To this monitor I have added several processes. In the section which shows the data for the processes, it shows data for Memory, but the CPU column is always blank. See attached image. Applications Manager, Event Log Monitoring
I need some help configuring event log monitoring. Firstly, we need to enable event log monitoring for all windows based servers, how can I do this in bulk rather than loading each monitoring, editing the monitor to include event log monitoring. Secondly, the event rules seem fairly straight forward but under the event IDs can I do ANDS or ORS for example system reboots. Duplicated Monitor Data
HI, I recently deleted a monitor information Apache, MySql, etc... and the name of the server/host was ABC123 for example. I reformat and reinstall that machine but now have a diferent hostname "ABC1" and I can added to the AppManage but when trying to add the other monitors such as Apache, MySql, etc.. AppManage add them under the old name ABC123. How can I get rid of that or make the monitors be under the new host. And yes, the server have the same IP address as before the installation, the only

Hello All, I am new to the Adventnet world and having a problem which I hope you can help me with: I have two devices in my network, both of them produce the same trap (which is an alarms, actually) Advantnet gets the traps and at the end of the process, I suppose to be able to watch those alarms by selecting the "open alarms" branch in the tree. A table indeed is being opened but... if both devices send the same failure object trap, then the second trap CANCEL the first one and I see only one line
Memory readings
HI, must off all my servers are linux Ubuntu server. I know that ubuntu use or is a memory hug but that's the way works. The thing is AppManager is telling me that this server is using 38% of memory and when I enter to the server is using just 4% of memory.

Hi, everybody. In these days I tried to insert a window`s monitor, but when I clic in "add monitor" the application manager show me this error: Error # The object exporter specified was not found. We have an user and password to monitoring by WMI, the firewall is off, the PC`s that we want to monitoring are on line, the IP`s are responding, we have permissions to monitoring by WMI in our net. script_message ignored in case of success in script monitors
Hi, I am using script monitors in application manager and using the ability to override availability and response time in the output file like described in the help. When I set it to failure, I see the script_message in the root cause analysis of my monitor, but I cannot find it when I set script_availability to success. Is that a feature ? MS SQL Monitor
Hello, We are using AppManager 8 Build 8610. I have added a MS SQL Montior (Cluster) and discovered that not all the data bases are being found. I can consistently recreate the problem by removing and recreating the monitor. Different databases show up each time I create the monitor. How do I resolve this issue so that the SQL monitor sees each database that is on the system? Thanks!

URL Sequence Recorder Help
I have used the sequence recorder to record transactions on two different internal web sites. Now in the Applications Manager one site shows it is up and the other shows down. To check if the first one is working I disabled the account I used to login with and it says it is still working. I have no idea why the second site isn't working. Both worked fine in the sequence recorder. I am doing an evaluation to possibly replace Tivoli so I am not that familiar with the product.
Monitor under maintenance?
When the Linux server which i monitor using AppMgr8 via SSH has a RAM usage that provokes a critical error on the monitor, then AppMgr shows in the linux server monitor details a message like this one and does not continue polling the server: "This Monitor is currently under maintenance ( Sep 9, 2009 5:35 PM to Sep 10, 2009 8:20 AM )" What is happening?

Hi, for some time I tried to make this area to present or show some data but I quite don't know where or how to. Attached is the image of the seccion I'm talkig about. But when we try to configure individual process we get the result that the "system is down." . Since i am new to application manger i could not find out the reason for this issue. Hi, I want to monitor a Windows box with IIS. So I installed a Windows monitor and an IIS. My system monitor uses WMI and is in another network. I already have some IIS monitor which works fine but they are in the same network than my AppManager.
