some of our users are experiencing a problem when trying to log in to the domain user form, they get a message above the login form that says "please try again null" Is this a known issue?

Issue changing password from inside of ADSelfService Plus
When a user logs into the Self Service portal and they click on the "Change Password" link in the top right corner. They go through the process of inputting the proper information to change their current password. Authentication problem - Error Code : 80072030
I am testing ADSSP. User login with Auth error code 80072030 return. Below are the error messages extract from log file serverout0.txt. I think it is caused by the user's LDAP attributes having double byte characters that ADSSP cannot handle. Is there any fix to this? Security Audit logging - Feature Request
Is there any way to find out the number of failed log in / password change/ unlock account attempts. We would like to run reports on this information for security audits but i do not see that this feature is implemented. Is there plans for this in the future/ can there be? Thanks

Hi, I'm a new evaluator AD Self Service Plus as I'm judging whether it is suitable for our company to deploy enterprise wide. I'm using the latest download (v 4006 I believe) I have a few concerns/issues rolled into one -hope it's okay to ask here.... HTTP Status 400 - Invalid path /Authorization was requested
From time to time, we have users that receive a Tomcat error code upon login. The message says "HTTP Status 400 - Invalid path /Authorization was requested". Once a user begins seeing this message, they cannot log in until I purge their user from the table aaauser--of course, a big side-effect of this is that when a user has been purged, so are their secret questions. I've been trying to establish a pattern to these problems, but have been unsuccessful. Newly created AD user, Not enrolled user counts not updated
I have created new AD user, but the "Not enrolled user counts" not incremented. Even I use this new ID to enroll, the "Encrolled user counts" no incremented. Any fix to this?

Purge users from database?
Greetings, We are running ADSSP v4.0 Build 4006 in a 4-year college environment. Currently, we have about 1,000 of our employees using the system but plan to allow approx 2,500 students to use the product come Sept. 2008. With the addition of our students, we're looking for a way to selectively purge lists of users from the enrollment database. I have already sent in the log files via e-mail to support, but I wanted to post here as well. password complexity for Users
If an User will reset the password. He see that "The password complexity property is enabled" A User dont know what its an "password complexity". If complexity is required, then must the screen help him. If the password does not meet the requirements, then it must be explained again what a complex password in The Error Message. Windows Computers do that also.

I may have missed something in the installation, but is there a default password for the root mysql login?
Domain Password Policy Requirements
Is there any way to change the Domain Password Policy Requirements when resetting a password? As of right now it says: The minimum password length is 0 characters. The new password is valid only for 42 days. The password complexity property is disabled. This is completely different than our AD settings. It should look more along the lines of: The minimum password length is 8 characters. The new password is valid only for 90 days. The password complexity property is enabled. This is very confusing
SelfService Portal doesn't work with IE7
I've got SSP as a trusted site in IE7 with security set as low as possible. Latest Flash and Java versions installed on this PC. We one account, SSP will allow me to log in and set up questions but when I try to login to unlock the account, I cannot get past typing the username and selecting the domain. After I hit enter, the screen returns to Verify user screen. With another account, I can log in and set up questions, as well as unlock my account successfull. This only happens in IE7. When I use
Slow reporting
I am currently running reports via AdManager Plus (report is : Groups for a User) and the report takes approximately 10 minutes to run per user. Is this a known issue or is there something we can check to see why this report is taking so long?

I have upgraded to sp 1.3 and see the captcha option in customisation, but appear to have no cpatcha functionality in ie when I try to login to change passwords. Am I missing something RichB
delegate the self Service to another User
Users can create your own information about the Self Service Change. Sch�n would be if the user but I could not be more user to another user delegate. Also, the department manager or the personnel department maintain the information centrally.
Admin Login
The way we have it set up on thsi server is to only accept connection on port 443 from the internet. Is there a way to disable the admin login unless you connect on port 80? Is this clear?

Enforcing AD password rules
It appears that ADSelfService Plus does not follow the password history setting in AD, allowing people to use the tool to keep using the same password over and over. Are there any plans to fix this oversight?
Unlock users AD account at Windows Login Screen?
Just interested, Does this software have the ability to unlock a users AD account from the inital windows Login screen? We won't be using the feature to have AD unlocked automaticly or behalf due to security reasons. We also don't have a large amount of people that normally lock there account while there already IN windows. If this isn't possible, then this software can't help us. Thanks.

Since having enabled SSL I am reguarly getting the error [Exception in:/jsp/tabComponent.jsp] null in the top bar area where I would normally have logout, settings etc. At first everything works hunky dory, but once I change menu items a few times, or save once too often, the bar disappears and is replaced with the error above.
URL to Domain User logon
Is there a way to link people to the Domain User logon? Currently if you send an enrollment e-mail out every ends up very confused on a Self-Service login page, which isn't where you want them to be, and selecting the correct tab isn't something you want them to have to do.
Scheduler - Soon to Expire Password User
Hello, I have an issues under Scheduler. When I setup the Soon to Expire Passowrd User, I just want to pick a certin OU. So I click on Add OU and pick that OU. It will show up selected, but a few hours later (not show how many) I go back and see that it is back to All OU. Can someone please help me out with this. Thanks!
Reset "on-behalf of" and IE auto-completion
I have two questions. 1. I do not have any options to allow users to reset passwords on behalf of other users. According to the manual, these are supposed to appear in the admin tab under "unlock" options. 2. Once a user has unlocked themselves using the secret questions, the answers are then avaliable for "auto-completion" in IE. This seems like a major security issue. --Dan
Enrollment by OU in a Non Exchange Enviorment
Just in case you are looking through the forums for information.......If you are not using Exchange as your mail server, and you try and send out the Enrollment by OU instead of by each email address, NO EMAIL will be sent. There is however a fix for this, although I am still waiting for it after two weeks now. Basically, this software is assuming that you are using Exchange for your email server and when sending out the Enrollment by OU, it is trying to pull the email address from the Exchange field
