Hello, I am trying to add my SonicWall PRO 3060. I can not get OpManager setup to read any stats from the device. SonicWall does have its own MIBs, but I get errors when I try to load them. Has anyone successfully added a PRO 3060?
Network interface 2008R2 - no data available
Hi! I tried demo 8.5 and found issue. This issue is present in 8.7 too. With our HP Proliant with Windows 2003 Network interface is collected data. In HP Proliant with 2008 R2 - not. No Data Available. But Real time monitoring is working. Where can I tune network interface? Best regards, Mikhail

Question about OpManager Reporting
I'm testing out OpManager and a couple of other NMS systems. I'm having trouble with reporting and would like to know if there is a way to show a report showing bits in/out for an network device interface, graphed over a time period. For instance, for the previous 24 hours? Is there a way to do the same for things like Memory and CPU utilization? I've created a "real-time" chart on the Dashboard, but can't seem to find a way to query that information from the database. Thanks for any help, Jimmy

I am currently testing the opmanage product and want to know how to monitor a linux box in my dmz from the LAN. I have opened the correct ports but when i go to test credentials it says snmp and cli failed. Then when I go into edit monitor and then hit test monitor it says the monitor did not respond to the test request. Thanks for your help.

Hi, This is a small useability point I was wondering for the updatemanager tool, I dont download the updates in the Opmanager application folder but in a dedicated folder, not even in the "Program files" path. Everytime I start the UpdateManager.bat file, the "Browse" button start in the Opmanager folder, I looked a bit in the batch file but I'm not familiar enough with java to know if the default browse path can be set anywhere in this, so I ask, is there a way that the UpdateManager

Adding Netapp 6040
Hello, Using Opmgr 8720. When adding a custom device template with custom monitors, how do you get the graphs to light up? Please see attached image, I am trying to add a Netapp FAS 6040 and I get cpu utilization, but the graph does not work. How do you get the icon to change to a custom png file uploaded to the device images directory? I need to monitor disk space as well. Does anyone have a template for Netapp? Thanks!
SNMP - Cisco and Windows OID Problems
Hey guys. My SNMP traps are returning just OID numbers and not "user readable" info. I've made sure to load all of the MIBs that I think I need in the "mibsToBeLoaded" file and I've restarted the OpManager service numerous times. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Loading the MIB's in the right order? Some examples: Windows returns "AuthenticationFailure : .1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1.2" instead of readable txt. Cisco 3750 returns "AuthenticationFailure : .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.5.0" instead of readable
How to select a single instance from an oid ?
I tried to set up monitors for a single instance from an OID which is a table. But the select oid function under Device Template does not allow me to select an instance under the OID. e.g. I want to select only one instance from .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6.2.1.4 (Brocade SAN switch swFCPortOpStatus) , say .1.3.6.1.4.1.1588.2.1.1.1.6.2.1.4.1 instead of all instances from this OID. Any one has any idea?
Credential Details - Apply Global Parameters WMI FAILED
Hello, Using Opmgr 8720. I have added a Windows 2003 Server running SQL 2008. When I choose to use "Apply Global Parameters" and choose the correct AD login and "Test Credential", I get DENIED. When I use the exact same login information (domainuame and pw) under "Use the below credential for the device" and choose "Test Credential", I get PASSED. I can then monitor the CPU, DISK and RAM, but am unable to monitor SQL using for latter. Please advise. I have not installed 8721 because it caused

Serial Modem is not working
Hi I have used Wavecom M1306 for my Opmanager. I have try to configure it and it always said Modem is not connected properly. Check your settings! i have to configure to use baut rate 115200 but it still not working, Could any one help me how to configure it, especially on windows XP ? Thanks Dony

Virtual Devices and Domain Controller AD Monitoring
Hi Folks, I have recently added in our VMWare ESX servers for monitoring in 8.7 OpManager. This has all worked fine, however now my domain controllers, which are all virtual devices, are monitored like normal virtual machines, and I have none of the great Active Directory monitoring. Is there a way to configure so I can have both, or a way to change the category from Virtual Device, to Domain Controllers. At the moment the category is locked, and I am unable to change. Cheers
Notification Profile Variable for Switch Interfaces in Subject
We have alerts that are generated from our Catalyst 6500 switch for discard, errors and high utilization. These switches have over 400 interfaces and they are all labeled with a descriptive alias name. When we get alerts for from the interfaces, the subject says for example "Trouble - Switch1" It would be more intuitive if the subject had the interface name, for example "Trouble - Switch 1 - '06-12 GW-ROUTER1'" Any takers?
Business view breaks after HotFix 8721
The upgrade went without a hitch, however I can no longer view the business view we created. Has anyone else experiencing this issue? How may we correct it? Thank you so much. Rob
VMWare ESXi monitoring
Good day! I'm trying to monitor two my VMWare Hosts. One is production and the second is test "sandbox". That "sandbox" contains THE TOTAL COPY of production server plus some more copies of physical servers from production zone. The problem is that the names of the guest servers in sandbox are the same as in production. After adding VMWare host to monitoring all my previously added production servers where "overwriten" by servers from sandbox. I need to monitor both production and test environment.

Alarm message form needs to be bigger!
The form field for entering alarm messages could do with being bigger. I use custom monitors to monitor printer consumables, and editing the alarm for when they get low so I can add aprt number of new toner, etc. is a serious pain. The form field isn't even big enough to hold the default message!! Any chance it could be changed to multi-line text field?

SNMP CPU/DISK/MEM utilization monitors
Hi! We are using the OpManager for network monitoring some ISP`s network. For some reason a few devicers that are added to the system, are not displaying the CPU/MEM/DISK utilization. I tried everything, from deleting and adding the device and utilization monitors. When I manualy tested the OID from MIB on the device i got positive responce in the way that everything is ok with OID and MIB fot this trap fetching. hrProcessorLoad.768:-->1 hrProcessorLoad.769:-->1 hrProcessorLoad.770:-->1 hrProcessorLoad.771:-->1

Any way to change the path for the backup files? You need twice the of the database for the database backup and the ZIP file while it's working - it's a lot of space!!

Bad performance and java.exe using 100% CPU
Hello I have a problem to get OpManager to run stable. First, the performance is at all times poor. Meaning: it takes long to change the view in the browser window. Second, after a week or so java.exe climbs to 100 % CPU. At this time nothing works, no alarms, no browser connection etc. I need to get this fixed, as a monitoring system that needs another monitoring system that checks if it is running is not really appropriate :-) Third: If someone has an easy description on how to get everything running

Hi, I dont know if it is an error or it is meant this way, but the Business view widget remembers the business view "default view" when displaying, either "Map" or "List", but when "Traffic map" is selected, it always shows "map view" instead of "traffic map" in the widget. Hi, Been clearing some Alarms on differents devices, newly unmanaged devices, or newly unmanaged services. Here's the step I do, : I go to a device, Click on a specific alarm Click delete (I dont want to "clear" because the alarm element is either no longer valid, or subject to change, so I dont want to keep the previous statuses, anyway, I want to completely delete the alarm, not only clear the status) What happens : The alarm is deleted and I land on a page
I can´t receive twitts when a service is down but when the service is getting up the twitt is received..
can anyone help me?? i´m tryin to probe if the twitts are working, i changed the IP of my router inside the opmanager (i don't touch my router) to simulate a shutdown, the opmanager shows me the alert but any twitt is sending, but when i return the correct ip on the opmanager, i receive the twitt telling me the service now is OK. what am i doing wrong?? regards
OpManager - Cannot change Vendor field
I am working with an existing OpManager 7.x environment. I am setting up the partition % free space on 100+ servers and about 40 of them did not have a 'vendor' specified even though the OS in many cases is indicated. I cannot add more counters until the vendor and OS are specified. OpManager however does not appear to let me change the vendor to anything other than 'unknown'. I would like to just change it to 'Microsoft', I also tried Dell/HP in some cases but get the same result. When I do change
