OpManager 8721 unable to remove and rediscover device

I know this sort of problem has been addressed many times in the forums, but I cannot locate a recent post that relates to OpManager 8.7.

I am having ongoing problems with the rediscovery of a certain host. Originally the device was added as a custom device. We then rediscovered it as an ESX server with virtual devices using the new functionality in OpManager 8.7. Subsequently the device was deleted and then rediscovered as a standard Linux server. Herein lies the problem. I now get one of the following when attempting to re-add the device:

· Device partially exists, click here to remove and read – This fails to work and says invalid IP.

· Attempt to discover the device, reports successful, but device does not appear. Discover it again then it appears twice. Both have the below issue.

· The discovered device, although the SNMP credential is correct (because it successfully gets the system description from the device) says wrong SNMP when attempting to add or remove monitors. All the monitors time out even though SNMP is correct.

· Delete discovered device/s then back to the original problem – cant discover.

I have seen in the forums that people have been directed to download and run a removedbentries.zip file. Is this still the fix? Where can I get this for 8721? Is it compatible with our install (8721 on Windows 2008/64 MSSQL database)?
