I tied to delete it "Maps"--->Domaincontrollers--->delete After I did these steps, the page will refresh once, but this infrastructure still here. I am using OP 7.0, SQL database. Thank!
Creating customised reports
Hi From the Reports tab, I can create the standard reports (Volumes with least free space, servers disk usage report etc), but what I'd like to be able to do is define my own reports. For example rather than producing a report showing volumes with the least free space (which currently gives it in MB), I'd like to create a report showing volumes with the least percentage free space, as this is of far more value to me than in MB. Is there a way to do this, either within OpManager, or by creating xml
SSH and HTTPS for tools
I have just upgraded to opmanager 8 and have a question. I there any way to change the tools icon for telnet on the snapshot page to use SSH when using telnet and the browse icon for HTTP to use HTTPS? As always thanks for any and all help.

Unable to add Backround Image to Business View
Hi, i am trying to add a custom Backround image to one of my business view,i have created it in both .png and jpg format but i can only ever see the default Map backrounds when i edit a business view. Hi, I have a complicated question ... Can we transfer alert from one user to another ? OpManager 8 startup issues due to McAfee Virus scan
Hi All, If you are have OpManager 8 with McAfee running on the same server, then you will face some issues with starting OpManager, because McAfee doesn't allow MySQL to start. A simple way to fix would be to disable McAfee during startup and once OpManager starts, you can enable McAfee and exclude the OpManager folder from scanning. If you do not wish to disable McAfee, follow the steps posted by Brian Lanktree (blanktree) which will help you fix it. Thanks Brian for those steps and here is the
Can an Alarm Message be Customized
I'd like to customize the Alarm messages to include additional information for the technicians. I see variables such as $MONITOR and $UNITS but I can't find a listing of these variables in the documentation. Can any text be entered into the Alarm Message text box? I tried it once without any luck but I'd like to hear from other folks who are more experienced with the product. Thanks, Frank

SNMP Credential failed
Hi I am getting a msg like "Data not collected for Win-CPUUtilization:Error: Request Timed Out ". When I tried to check the credentials SNMP credential is failed, But windows is passed. Loading new MIBS
Hi All, We have a IBM3310 Tape Library which we would like to monitor through OpManager. I opened up a support call with IBM for the MIBS and they could only provide the MIBS in a documented pdf. I can snmpwalk the device and the documentation appears correct. How is it possible to get these into OpManager please? Cheers Chris

Eventlog Status Clear Notification
Hello, in the eventlog rules there is a rule that called "Created printer". I use this rule to get the information that a printer was installed on this device. I get an alarm that the severity of this device is "Attention" and also i get a email notification. Now I must clear the alarm that the status of this device will go back to normal, but we don't want do that, because the installation of a printer are no error. So I changed the severity from Attention to Clear. After this change I get no email
How disable certain alarms in OP Manager 8
Loaded OPmanager 8 running on SQL 2000. Only problem I have is that I get Alarms such as the following.. Hello, I have query regarding MySql DATABASE, i have install opmanager with licence 1000 device ALL is install well with version 7205, Now my problem is i have installed opmanger on the server where it it is 50 Gb available space i have like 800 devices on the network with more then 20000 interfacecs. so i have configurd LUN 300GB "SAN" disk for my server now i want my aplication to save the database to this disk and not on my local server. how can i map my aplication so that it can save data base
SNMP Custom Monitors : available functions
I'm using OpManagerEE, latest service pack and am trying to create a custom monitor for Cisco's WLC devices, specifically the number of rogue access points. I found the necessary mib (AIRESPACE-WIRELESS-MIB) and its dependencies but the closest information I get is a SNMP table that contains information for each of these APs. Is there any way to return the count of how many elements there are in this table, since I'm interested in this number, not in all the details. Also, is there a list of all
Deleting a device that not exist

ERROR CODE: 485 Invalid License File
I had installed OpManager 8 on Red Hat Linux using the Professional Trial. My 30 days have passed but I now have purchased a license to use. I have the License.xml file but I do not know where to put it. The first time I attempted to restart the server after the trial expired it asked about the location of the license file which I did not have yet. Now when I attempt to start the server I get this error. ERROR CODE : 485 Invalid License File Any suggestions?
High Page faults from java.exe
Receiving high page faults on my Op-Manager Build 7205 server from java.exe. Java wasn't installed before the install of Op-Manager so i guess Op-Manager uses it. If the server is not shutdown every few days the server will crash due to low resources. After server comes on line with in 1-2 hours there are about 1,500,000k Page Faults and if left will reach 90,000,000K within 2 days. Has any one had this problem before?
How to compare devices
hello, I've many ups in use. OPManager correctly read out many values from the ups, like Load, output voltage, serial of device and management card and so on. But how can I compare all ups? I will get a matrix of all ups in OPManager with all values OPManager could read out. So I can see which ups needs a firmware upgrade, witch ups has which IP and so on in one matrx. Not by clicking from ups to ups ... The report function is realy ... unusable. I coultn't see any sence in this function ... because
Problems changing IP
Hello, when I change the IP of any device, everytime OPManager forgot the new IP after service restart and lists the device with old IP. Is this a bug or how to change IP? Thanks wafan
OPmanager not showing incomming traffic
I am trying to monitor cisco switches with opmanager. But it is not showing incomming traffic in my cisco switch port (interfaces). It is showing outgoing traffic with no problem. But incomming always shows zero values. What could be the problems.

Is there an upgrade path in OpManager 8 to go from the 7204 version? I've tried a couple ways, but it seems to be a complete uninstall / re-install of the product with a new database. Shaun
SNMP traps and Windows Clusters How to?
Hi, Here's my problem. We have two SQL cluster nodes (.1 and .2) running Dell OpenManager. We monitor SQL Cluster IP (.3) using OPmanger. When we send test traps from .1 (the active node) sometimes they fail to arrive on .3 monitor. So I changed .3 monitor to use .1. Traps work. But I lose SQL database stats i guess because .3 is the SQL service not .1. Any solution to this?

Reports problem all devices
Hi! Running opmananger 7205. When I create a user and give him rights to his business view and then log in as that user and go to reports and "all servers availability reports" then all servers show up even if the user hasn't any right to those objects This started when i upgraded to the new version. Any suggestion what I can do to prevent the customers to se each others devices? /Robert
Remove web pane from right of 7205 screen
We are running the trial version of OpManager 7205 and are getting annoyed with constantly being asked for the proxy settings in order for every page of OpManager to connect to the internet. Our network does not have access to the internet, and we would like to remove this pane, or somehow disable it as clicking cancel every time the screen changes is getting very tedious. Please advise on how to get around this
Ghost monitor causing alarm flood
For no reason a APC UPS Monitor (or something in opmanager) starting sending snmp reqs to UPS with bad credentials at 1am Sunday night. The UPS sends emails to me saying so " System: Detected an unauthorized user attempting to access the SNMP interface". Strangely the UPS monitors still collected stats. Tried everything. Now deleted monitor. many Fixdb and Reboots. See firewall traffic suggesting it is opmanger as same port number for all SNMP reqs. Server has no other SNMP software on it. Still
OpManager 8 and Disk Queue Length
I have been previewing the Beta of OpManager 8 and noticed that disk queue length is now included as a WMI monitor. Problem is, there is no way to target the monitor on a certain volume. When I apply this monitor to a server, is the value that an average queue length of all the fixed drives? Would be nice if it would prompt you for a fixed volume like some of the other WMI thresholds do.
