Now that you guys have implemented ESX monitoring (great feature) I'd like to see ESX / ESXi hardware health monitoring as well. Is this possible? --Mikko--
monitoring mvware over vsphere
Hello I'm using the newest ver. of opmanager and have problem adding vsphere credentials. When I want to add vpshere host and monitor all devices managed by vpshere I do have error:VMWare vCenter is not supported. Please add ESX/ESXi host individually. Why this happening? Thanks Mark

OPmanager supporting VMWare monitoring via vCenter
Hello, When do you plan to release OPManger in order to support monitoring via vCenter? We are wainting on this new release as we must disable lockdown in our ESX farm. If we will not get it, Security will request to disable OPManager. Many thank for your quick answer. Regards Philippe
no windows credentials tab in oputils 6
in oputils 5 there was a tab called windows credential in order to resolve dns name abd system explorer via wmi. in oputils 6 this tab disappeared and replaced with active directory tab. in my case i don't have active directory in my network, is there any work around for this issue thank you in advance
[Feature request] Repeat notifications for unacknowledged alarms
I need a feature that will send email notifications every N (minutes/hours) until the alarm is acknowledged or cleared. My issue is that during unscheduled downtime, I receive so many notificatons from Opmanager that I usually miss one or two that does not say "Clear". This is usually for a single process or service, so it's easy to miss until users start complaining. I also have a few alarms that are acknowledged but not cleared, so I'd like to set up a separate schedule as a reminder if an acknowledged
Report memory and CPU
I'm using 99% of memory on my server. I would like to take a report to know that consuming more memory, it is possible? I want to know which application is consuming more memory. And to CPU also.
How to remove HyperV VM?
According to the documentation I should see a remove/delete action in the VM Snapshot page. I do not... How do I remove these "orphaned" machines? They were deleted/removed from the host server. Ignore individual alarms directly from the Alarms tab
When I turned on my Event Log notifications, I started recieving hundreds of random, non-important events (like printers disconnected or domain voting). So I started adding these events manually to your Event Log Rules and set them to "ignore". However, the amount of steps that are required to add 1 single event to "ignore" is unneccessarily complicated. I need to go to the server, find the event, get the event ID, warning level, type, and message, then create a new Rule and set it to "Ignore". Suggestion:
Need Assistance Adding Seed Core Device for Maps
Hello-- This is going to sound like a lame question, but I'm looking over the instructions for configuring a network topology map and I can't get past the 2nd step. Here are the instructions: From the OpManager dashboard, select Maps --> Network Maps link (mouse-over the Maps tab to see the links to all the maps). A monitor with same name already exists
Hi to all, I need to create a lot of custom monitors for icmp messages, UDP datagrams, etc. for all devices i'm monitoring. How can I obtain this behaviour? If I create a custom monitor for a device template, I can use it again only on same vendor templates. If I try to create same custom monitor on a different vendor template (not scalable approach) I obtain an error like this "A monitor with the same name already exists. Provide a different name". I'm using last OpManager 64bit version on Windows

Opmanager starts but corrupts database, please help!
Hello! Recently I installed a fresh install of Opmanager 8 and updated it to v.8812. I added many devices and created maps, but after Windows Server 2008 updated a few things it restarted and Opmanager went haywire! It starts as a service, in web interface I get "Initializing Modules..." for a minute or so, and then a login screen appears. When I try to log in with correct credentials I get "Oops looks like a few tables got corrupted. Don't worry.. Run RepairDB.bat from bin directory and restart

IP Address Management - VLAN IP address show up multiple times for every subnet
I am currently evaluating OPUtils and am falling in love with it. I used ADManager in the past and this is even better! However, I am running in to a small problem that I would like to get some feedback on. In IP Address Management I have found all of my subnets were discovered. That is great! How to restrict or remove information from user's dashboard and Overview
We recently created a end user from admin account. We created the business view for this user and added only 1 device to this view, then linked to that user ("Only the selected Business Views" was selected) The problem at the moment is, the admin have plenty devices and lots of different network traffic monitoring graphic (widget) on the Overview page. Both admin and end user goes to "Overview" as default Home page after login, and both of them got those monitoring graphic (widget) showing there.
New Netbackup 7.1.0.3 installation : service is displayed down, but sevices is really running
Hi everybody, Since 1 month now we are updating our Symantec NetBackup Agent from v.6.5.3 to v7.1.0.3. And now ON EVERY UPDATED SERVERS netbackup client service is displayed down but service is running !!! when i choose to add a monitored service the service is shown in "green" and since i add this monitor to the server, after a while it raised an alarm for "windows service down" some informations : OpManager version 9011 (waiting the new AMS license to update to the last version) Does someone experience
Alarm widget size
Hi We have resently added Event log monitoring and the All alarms widget is now showing warnings for the event logs. My issue is now that the All alarms widget has expandet it's size on the monitoring homepage and are showing alot of text from the alarms. Is it posible to minimize the amount of alarm message text shown in the All alarms widget?
Removing Dashboards
Hi! Is it possible to remove some of the standard dashboards? I've even tried to like name my dashboards with a catalouge structure like: 1. Structure Map 2. Temprature Graphs 3. Temprature Instant But the problem here is dashboards like: WOIP Overview WAN RTT Overview Split up and make it really messy. Is it possible to deactivate or delete em? Having trouble with MIB on Centos 6
Guys, I am new to Linux and opmanager. My opmanager server is Windows 2008 server i am trying to monitor CPU/Disk utilization on Centos 6 server. I have snmpd service running on linux server. When i run "test monitor" on CPU utilization The Monitor did not respond to the test request 1. Check if SNMP is enabled on this device. 2. The SNMP request might have timed out 3. The OID may not have been implemented in the MIB. 4. The device might be down Any help would be appreciated. thanks.
SNMP and WMI
My environment machines have mixed this with WMI and SNMP. I am wanting to use the DeviceTemplate and standardize the monitors. I want to know if I put in DeviceTemplate both types of monitors SNMP and WMI, I want if I put these two monitors I'll have some kind of problem? Conflict for example.
SQL 2005 monitors not working after SP4
Hello, we have two servers with Microsoft SQL server 2005 STD, we had configured a few SQL monitors and was working propertly, but after aplying SP4 to SQL, the SQL monitors stop responding and the data for this monitors are N/A. I have already try the following: - To rediscover server - Delete server and add again (the new server is not automaticaly detected as SQL and therefore doesnt add automaticaly the SQL monitors), add manualy the SQL monitors - WMI credentials are tested, Monitors-->Performance
Include automation workflow results into email notifications
I'd like to see the results of a triggered workflow to be added to emails sent from the notification profile. This way I can immediately see the additional info in the first notification email, which could help with false alarms.
Merge Device Monitors
Im trying to figure out if there is a way to merge devices, or at least an easy way to copy the monitors from one device to another. Currently we have a lot of our servers added manually. I am now going through and adding the ESX Hosts so that all the VM's come over automatically. Region based dynamic mapping
Hello Folks i wonder can anyone fully utilizing this feature in opmanager ? After discovering devices in opmanager we want to bring devices (servers , switches , APs) on the subnet based maps. Currently opmanager has only layer 2 mapping but some problems . also dont brings the servers , aps , terminals. i attached the whats up screenshot of layer 2 mapping . download opmanager.truststore IE
I use OpManager Enterprise 9410. I just realized, that the download og the truststore file unter Admin - Probes is not possible in IE. It works with Firefox. Does anybody have a solution for that? How can I download the truststore file in Internet Explorer? Thanks jobu74

Problem OPmanger Authentication
Dears I have a problem in OPmanger that i can't login through webpage anymore it prompt the username and password page , when i tries to login it just hang , plus i got no report through mail since the problem which mean the services is not running any more, i restarted the server many times and the problem still exist.

Hyper V Host detect as server category
Hi, I manually add my Hyper V Host by using IP address into Opmanage but it category it as server. How can i change this? i try remove/delete from Server Category but still back to server category when add in Add HyperV Host.

Copy 'admin' User Environment/Profile
I have configured the OpManager environment for the default local 'admin' user. This configuration includes the creation of a custom dashboard that I want to use as the default for the admin staff. I now want to 'copy' this environment/profile to Windows Domain administrators, but have not located a simple way of accomplishing this.

How do you determine the monitoring interval of a Hyper-V server?
There is no polling or monitoring interval settings like there is on a standard server. How do you see the interval and modify it if needed?
Can someone please explain to me why and when I would use an agent on server?
The only thing I can notice about its usefulness is when the server gets rebooted I get an immediate notification. Are there any other benefits to using the agent?
Windows Server 2012 Hyper V

The problem i facing is when i add in the Host A, it only capture 1 virtual and 1 replica virtual. While in Host B, it does not show any virtual machine.
