Merge Device Monitors

Im trying to figure out if there is a way to merge devices, or at least an easy way to copy the monitors from one device to another. Currently we have a lot of our servers added manually. I am now going through and adding the ESX Hosts so that all the VM's come over automatically. The problem is the servers have all the notifications tied to them and i want to move these monitors to the virtual device instance. Its very time consuming to move them over manually and am looking to either merge the devices which is probably not possible, or copy the monitors from one device to another.

Anyone know of how to accomplish this in any sort of automated fashion?
