How to use a Device Group in EventLog Analyzer to update the Monitoring Interval

Objective 

This article offers detailed information on how to use a Device Group in EventLog Analyzer to update the Monitoring Interval for Windows log sources.

Prerequisites 

  1. You'll need the administrator role or manage device group role for the EventLog Analyzer console.

Steps to follow 

Step 1: Log in to EventLog Analyzer.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings > Admin Settings > Device Group.
Step 3: Check the boxes for the Log Source Groups for which you would like to update the monitoring interval.
Step 4: Click the Manage drop-down, and select Monitoring Interval.

Note: Updating this property for the selected group(s) will update all applicable device(s).

Step 5: Update the monitoring interval value in the pop-up and click Update.

 Tips  

  1. A Device Group can be created as needed based on how you are going to manage the devices with the technicians. For example, based on sites, departments, etc.
  2. The Monitoring Interval can be updated in the Device Management page in bulk. You will be able to sort the devices based on Device Status, State, Device Group, and Type in the Device Management page.
