How to remote local administrator from technician group?
Hi, I have a problem to remove local administrator from technician? I click on checkbox in front of local administrator account in technician page and deleted. Then it's not deleted and the check box in front of of local admin account is become disable.

Custom date field is not correctly displayed in notifications
Hello SDP Support, I've got a small problem with custom date fields. I've created a date field in the Requesttemplate that is called: When did the alarm appear. In the Request form the correct timestamp is show as 29.09.2011 11:30, but in the Email notification it just shows 29.09.2011. When I look in the email source code there is also just the date but no time. Is there any way to include the time correctly? Using Build 8016. Kind regards Thomas
AD import works with domain.com but not netbios domain
Recently when trying to import requesters using the netbios domain name it only showed the Users OU from active directory. I determined that if I switched and used the fqdn - domain.com I was able to see all the OUs from AD and import properly. The following day I tried logging in as a technician and I could not. Work Log Bug
I recently noticed that there is a bug in the Work Log screen. The Executed Time shows Time 0 through 23 for hours. When selecting 7 hours it should show as 7 a.m. but it is showing as 8 a.m. instead.

Asset issue - 2 computers not co-existing
In ServiceDesk I have 2 workstations with completely different sets of information. When I run a scan on Workstation 1, Workstation 2 is removed. When I scan Workstation 2, Workstation 1 gets removed. I am on ServiceDesk 8017 with the 1.05 client. I am also running MSSQL for the backend. Any ideas?

Problem scanning custom built machines
Hi, We recently distributed agent 1.05 to the workstations in our company through AD. However, everyone in one department has a custom built machine. These machines show as Model: System Product Name and Service Tag: System Serial Number so whenever one machine scans it replaces any other custom built machine already scanned. Is there a way around this? I tried to manually change the Service Tag in the asset information, but a new scan just resets it to "System Serial Number." Do we just need

I have just download and installed the Professional version of ServiceDesk. I just go done importing requesters from my domain Controller, and setting up my technicians. But i cant seem to figure out how to get users to send requests from their account. I've attempted to send request by logging in through the web browser connected to my Servicedesk server.
Mail Fetching Just Stops
Two Days ago, I noticed that SDP was no longer picking up any of the mail sent to the exchange mailbox we have set. After some troubleshooting I get this error message when I to re-enter the POP settings -> FAILURE: E-mail settings saved successfully. But error occurred while trying to check connection with mail server - Problem connecting to mailbox. This is the second time this happen, with the first having no real reason on why it just started to work again. So far... I have re-enter all settings

Hi all I am trying to set up my mail server on Service Desk. I set POP server on port 110 for incoming and SMTP server on port 25 for outgoing mail server settings to send and receive mails but there is an error while i want to reply the request. There is an error message which is: " Sending notification failed" I have to say that there is no problem with receiving mails from mail server,I mean that i can receive the e-mail which has set for sending/receiving mails to/from service desk automatically
Delayed typing in Description field.
When creating a service desk ticket users are experiencing delays when typing out their descriptions, this seems to happen only when connected to a virtual server. If I log into service desk on my local machine using IE 8, 9 or firefox it is fine but when I rdp into a server or even login from the server itself there is a terrible delay in typing and no other program is affected in this way. Any idea's what may be the cause of this problem? Regards

Suddenly we lost our virtual machine with Service Desk (Help Desk), but DB was still working fine. When I use the scan analysis on a Solaris 8 machine, the hostname changes to-f. I have brought many problems, for example, the fall in production systems and utomatic backups stop working until change the hostname again. Any update? Thanks.

Hi All our e-mail notifications currently work correctly, with the exception of when an acceptance/rejection is made to a change request - does anyone know why this would not be working, as at present, a requester has to go into the change itself and check for responses. Many thanks Doug.
Failed to communicate with client while updating workstation agent
I am running ServiceDesk 8017. Currently I am trying to deploy the latest agent (1.05) to our workstations. While doing this, I was receiving a lot of 'failed to communicate with client" errors. After some troubleshooting, I found that the AssetExplorer agent was stopped. When I tried to start it, I receive a message saying that the service is stopped because it has nothing to do. If I try to start it a few times, it finally starts and I can update the agent. However it does eventually stop
Asset Name changes from FQDN
I have been experiencing issues on my ServiceDesk server with asset scanning. Among these issues, I have noticed that most workstation names will switch between a Fully Qualified Domain Name and a non-FQDN every few scans. I had manually gone through and fixed all of the workstations, and I am watching them change back. I have the clients running the 1.05 agent and I am on ServiceDesk 8017. Please help.
Business Rule Stopped Working
Hello. We have a business rule when: Request Type is "Incident" or "Service Requst" then send an email. This has been working fine. In Service Desk Plus, when downloading any attachments in the requests, it doesn't open the attachment but rather shows it as "HdFileDownloadServlet". This happens to any type of attachments that is sent to the service desk from users (pdf, doc, wav, ect ect..) Is there a fix for this for Chrome?
Unassign login details for requester
As per the subject. I have a few requesters (Admin -> Users -> Requesters) with login details assigned, I am wondering how I can remove the login details. I have tried editing the requester and removing the login name, however I get an error prompt to enter a login name.

Definitive Guide to the Remote Control function
I'm having trouble making the Remote Control function of the SDP. I'm using version 8.0.0 build 8015. Some of my technicals do not have administrator permissions on the machine and these, when they try to control a machine, the request appears to the remote host but after after acceptance nothing appears on the technical.
